I just love that you use so many resources. Sometimes with our core curriculum I feel guilty when we don't finish it because we supplement with other things. It makes me feel like we are behind even though we are continuing to learn from other sources.

I am fighting that feeling this year, we use multiple math resources so while everyday involved math, I'm not finishing any of them by official year end. It is difficult not to feel behind, but as long as we went forward with our learning I know we are okay ❤

Same on the sing a song of seasons. Hoping maybe my daughter can read the poems aloud as she gets older or something. It just sits on a shelf right now.

Sing a song of seasons is in our morning basket and we just read the poem of the day. I agree, its an expensive (albeit, lovely) book.
My daughter is going into 1st grade this year and your videos are so helpful.

Happy to hear my videos are helpful ❤
This summer we kept the book open on display and did a decent job of reading most days. Who know how long that will last 😂

Gréât vidéo. New subscriber here. First language lessons didn’t work for our family either. I have a channel mainly about homeschooling as well.

I definitely recommend The Writing Revolution. We seem to have very similar tastes in homeschool curriculum and use many of the same products.

I loved your update! I also bought Sing a Song of Seasons after holding off for a year, and we try to use it on Fridays to justify the cost, lol. We are looking at Song School Spanish for next year. Is it necessary to buy the full package? I'm also looking for a supplement to my science program for next year. Do you think Tinkeractive would be a good choice for this? Thanks!

TinkerActive is a really fun supplement that adds in activities after every lesson. It is not a huge workbook so it would not last long, but we have enjoyed all the levels. The Evan Moor skill sharpeners series is great for science as well.
Both workbooks are broken out by different topics, so you can jump around to whatever meets your needs best at the time.

In regards to Song School Spanish, I think it could be possible to only utilize the student workbook and not purchase the teacher's guide. However the teacher's guide does offer help on pronunciation and tips, but if you had just the student book and wanted to try it without the teacher's guide I think it might work.

@@knowledgebynature8480 Awesome, thanks! I think I'll look for the teacher's manual used and also get the streaming access you mentioned. We love visual learning over here.

@@liljdw1 Yes the streaming service has a native speaking teacher which really assists with correct punctuation! Streaming service and student book and I think you'd be set!
