You finally got time crisis 5 to work that’s freaking awesome imagine having other pc based arcade games working without technoparrot. For some reason I cannot access the community settings on my steam deck on my end im typing something wrong or something

Hi and thank you for this. Could you possibly look at how to get the controls working for HotD Scarlet Dawn? It runs on deck as a standalone game but I can’t get the controls working even when using jconfig.
Brother I downloaded the game and it starts all right the only problem is the controls I can't set them could you help me more specifically thanks I follow you from Italy
After the game is in Steam and after compatibility with proton experimental, You would go into the Button layout, community layout but nothing will show up right away so you have to change games name too Time Crisis 5 and then in button layout - community layout will layouts then showup
Funny timing, i just set this up about a week ago, and FYI the gun switch button (which you can also use to skip cutscenes) is mouse scroll wheel down. Easily mappable in steam input. The only quirk on my end is that the button to activate the crosshair has to be hit after every new cutscene, like it resets to the default of it being off. I noticed it also removes any coins/credits that have been input. Kind of odd but obviously not a dealbreaker. I'd also recommend setting the resolution to 1280 x 720 and telling it to force to internal and external display. That seems to get it to render at the lower resolution too which reduces The load the game puts on the deck. I played and beat it to the end and there is some pretty noticeable slowdown in the levels in the cave with the zombie soldiers if you don't do this, but it was much improved after I did. This would also fix the cutscenes being partially cut off as you noted.
Thank you for sharing your information for Time Crisis 5! Mouse wheel up and down makes the most sense for changing weapons, so I'm grateful I can add this to the controller config for others to easily access. Regarding the resolution, where can we set this exactly? I'd love to do a follow up video with both of these issues fixed for others to see! Thanks again and you have a great day, I am hoping to complete the rest of the game very soon!
@@DeckWizard Happy to help! It's actually only mouse wheel down though, up does nothing. The way I'm able to change the resolution easily is that I have added it as a game to Steam. I'm not sure how you are launching it but I used Lutris, and you can add a "Steam Shortcut" for the game in there. Then you can also add the art in a variety of ways, but more importantly if you go to "properties" you'll see under launch options there's place to pick "Game Resolution." That's where I changed it to 1280x720, and below that will be the option "set resolution for internal and external display." That should do it for you.

A compatible rail gun would have been the icing on the cake.

@@brianbilford9121 interesting. This fixed the graphics. But half the subtitles are now missing for some reason lol. But thank you!
was it fun to play?
Yes! Very much so, always loved arcade shooters!
