Would recommend getting all the single point skills as they are the best in game with getting resources back from destroying buildings to seeing resources or animals they all help out. Don’t build too close to a city, try place your town central to all of them for when traders run out of coin or just checking different stock. Craft axes and chop down trees for feathers, sticks and logs; sell the feathers, turn the sticks into spoons to sell and use the logs to build. When building your house you can change what material it’s made out of so you don’t waste firewood on cheap houses furthermore you can insulate houses to lessen the firewood again and don’t forget about slaves... I mean townfolk that do your work for you.

Nice tips but my first tip would be chop trees make spears and sell em. Once you had enough go to a town with a seamstress and buy a backpack and a large bag for increasing your weight. They are not too expensive and will be a great help. No need to build near a settlement since you wont there much but for missions that end quick. Im on my first game play and it seems i am build my town far ahead than the chapters.

You don't need survival sense to see the things that you've dropped with alt. Inspector mode (as the devs call it) is available in the very beginning, if you're close enough to things you've dropped. Just FYI. Decent tips. I love that you included not to rush the game. That's one thing that I notice new players doing more than anything else...trying to build a whole village in the first season. It's better to take your time and explore this gorgeous world.

    *Tip 22:*
A faster way to get sticks and rocks is by holding a spear, or shovel, and holding down *E* key. This skips the grab animation and lets you instantly pick them up. Any living plants in the way still has a gathering progress bar though. This works best in 3rd person so you can see more ground, and tapping the ALT key for the "Survival Sense" to spot them easy.

I think a great tip would be to extend the number of days per season. Side quests often disappear during a season change, plus this just extends the game as well. I personally do 10 day seasons, in season 1 that gave me time to build my 5 buildings, do side quests and stock up on supplies for the next season.

    • @PitstopHead
      @PitstopHead  Рік тому +17

This might not be a good idea actually. The bigger the settlement the more taxes you pay. Also it would take you a long time for your dynesty to grow up. If you also extend the days you run out of spawned items as they are seasonal based. On a side note all my videos are filmed with vanilla settings. Nothing has been changed or made eaiser so I understand the game as it is meant to be played. Enjoy and GL

I started the game and put in about 15 hours before totally restarting it. I found those 15 hours was a Learning curve and after restarting it I've tackled the game completely different and I'm absolutely loving it. I think the best tip is do not rush it especially with the building and recruitment. It was a big mistake I made. I'm now about 6 hours in and I've only built for myself and recruited nobody yet. I've literally spent it doing quests, exploring, hunting and selling stuff to make coin. it really is a game that should be taken slowly and thoughtfully. Always plan ahead and make sure you have the resources for yourself all sorted 1st before you start expanding and when you do make sure you recruit slowly and always check each member has the right stats for the job its so important. 👍

Grab the spoon blueprint from the lvl 1 Workshop blueprints to make a spoon for each stick you have. Each spoon sells for a coin I’m pretty sure if not more then harvest trees selling the feathers, turning sticks into spoons and using the logs or turning them into cups to sell (also in lvl 1 workshop).
Also make your buildings out of stone with plank roofs then insulate them so you don’t use so much firewood so you can sell more cups.

I really don't know how, but so many playing this have layouts that looks so like old Norwegian 'klyngetun' and 'bygdetun'. So accurate in terms of how old villages, farms and house-steads looked like. It's so cool.
    Also, great tips. Thanks bro!
Btw: the only thing I like to change in settings, is days pr seasons. I think three is just to.. well, unrealistic. Like, meaning you could spend half a season just ging to a town, and then back, and the season a new one have began. Although I want to try max that out at some point. I like to have it on 6 days, so 5-7. That way it feels better... it feels more realistic, not AS rushed/stressful, but still enough so you gotta pay attention to the fact winter is coming.
Still though 6 days does feel stressful. You still got the pressure of getting things done in time. that feeling is what i really like abt this game, and something I think they do better than other survival games. Just because it is seasons in it. Like you get a minuscules hint to how it must have been to worry abt such things IRL .
Just know, i am not trying to talk down other games. I just say this is a nice change when playing Medieval Dynasty. They have been able to, without a combat based game, and without all the hocus pocus fantasy magic, to make a game that what you do feels important.. while being '''simple''... or maybe the basics is a better word for it. Like, community, family, food, etc. Which have to be done right, or else it would be boring. To not need to lean on magic etc, and to it good, shows the devs are going something right.
If you think of it.. many mediocre survival games are just your typical combat based, half-assed RPG, with a crafting/building system in it. Often it feels like they just threw it in there because it's trendy, and it can become obvious they focus on to many things. That it would be better to have fewer things to do, so they could REALLY put their effort into making those things VERY GOOD.
I think Palworld is suffering from that. Now as the hype is gone, and we all rushed trough it, it's hard to see how that will become....more.
So to come full circle. Medieval dynasty delivers on what it says it is; survive, build, community, hope, family, love, life, death. True love too btw.. i have never cared so much about my virtual family before, as in Medieval Dynasty. I am literally honored when my kid takes over after me - Yes me.. :)
(it became a lot of BTW's as you see... but i just really like this game. Something abt it.. and the ppl who likes it just as much as me as well. You all know what i mean )😊

Each resource in your bag has an icon that says where to store it, and it’s basically either resource storage or food storage.
You can store resources in workshops or barns, but only worker assigned to these places will automatically use them. If the resources are stored at the communal storages, all workers have access to them regardless of where they are assigned.
So a good tip could be to organise the resources according to the icon, to make the management of resources work better.

I started a new game after playing some on pure vanilla settings. On the new game I turned on infinite stamina and faster building. Fast travel is expensive and getting a horse takes a lot of time. So adding time already long journey times just for "because" or "immersion" doesn't do much for me. When it comes to building, needing to swing the hammer 5 times when you have all the materials rather than just once just doesn't make sense to me either. And this isn't about "immersion". Swinging a hammer 1 time or 5 times isn't any more or less "realistic" or "immersive" to building a structure in rl. IDK. I guess these setting add additional "challenges" to the game without adding value to the gameplay.

I’m not really a fan of only having three days per season, it makes me feel like I’m constantly running out of time to do things.
I noticed you can change this in the settings but they strongly advise against it, saying something about things regrowing or something.
Can anybody clarify what they’re talking about and help me figure out if I’m gonna shoot myself in the foot by increasing season length?

I restarted the game a few times while I was getting the feel for it and ultimately opted for 7 days a season as I felt this ideal for me for the purposes of grinding - 4 days was too short I felt. Though the beauty is that if you do run out of stuff to do by 4 days you do have the option of sleeping straight through to the next season.

Resource deposits like metals and whatnot regen with each season shift. The reason the game warns against extending seasons is due to potentially exhausting your supplies too early I guess and being forced to skip to the next season.
