Definitely a YT travel vlogger like no other. 😁 The Philippines is probably number one on my bucket list. I've been to Thailand and Vietnam. I know there's good and bad, light and shade, with all these so-called 'paradise destinations', but SE Asia calls me back nonetheless. One day, hopefully.
Just go. But keep in mind that late December to May are the best traveling months in PH. Avoid the typhoon season😊

Surprising that you’re well traveled but never heard about Boracay which is probably the most popular resort/beach/island in the Philippines. It’s worth a try to go there then continue to Coron or El Nido in Palawan.
Just booked Palawan, skipping Boracay. The crowds give it a Honolulu vibe in my opinion. Over crowed doesnt feel secluded. Always been more of a Kauai type of Island vibe. Which feels more private, getting lost in nature. From Paddys experience thinking i made the right choice!

Great production quality - as always. Thanks for sharing your trip with us! The last time I was in Boracay was about 15 years ago and we would arrive by sea plane. The rest looks pretty much the same and I'm glad they reopened it.

I really like how you present your narrative! Hope you can explore more like going to historic places in Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte. The Palaui Island in Sta.Ana Cagayan and of course the Batanes.
Liked the quietness when I went there years ago, but looks like more tourists can also bring an exciting vibe to the place.

Boracay is far more developed than I thought, at least they've built a little further back from the waterline than many other islands. I hope you visit a more secluded beach, I've heard there are many in the Philippines.

@Vlogging Times Wasn't really built all over the beach, people had to knock down 2 metres in places, some place abit more, everyone had permits and they weren't illegal, just they changed the markings from tide levels from where they used to be.(well they measured a few times and kind of just made it up)
@Vlogging Times No it wasn't like that, everyone on white beach had built in the correct places, they just changed the tide mark from where it used to be when it was first measured years ago, i know one place had to knock back less than 1 meter, some had to knock back more(say 10 meters or so) but they all had permits issued by the local goverment and DENR

Boracay is a touristy island with western standard but we have 7000 more islands where you Can have a day In paradise almost by yourself together with your boatman.🏝️🏝️Other Islands Bantayan & Siguijor have the same White sand like Boracay but more to local standard.

In the late 80's & early 90's there are no buildings there. We have the traditional nipa and bamboo hut with mosquito net. It was not that hot at that time in the Philippines. You do not need an air conditioner or electric fan. The main island is called Panay island, it has 4 provinces Iloilo, Roxas, Antique & Aklan where Boracay island belongs. All this 4 provinces have airport.
Too bad that the styling/ design of the series is based on Karl Watson's Backpacking the Phillipines style. Even the music around it is similar. Neverthless a level-up in editing in comparison to the other series. Songs are cringe 🙄 Good luck in the kuya country !

I'm sure you've figured it out by now, but the green algae you're seeing is definitely due to pollution - excess sewage and cooking oil runoffs feed the algae and cause the blooms you're seeing. The locals might try to pretend it only happens only a couple weeks a year (which just happens to coincide with everyone's visit!), but it's pretty much a problem all through high season. But man, what are you even doing in mega touristy Boracay? I think of you as a more adventurous traveler, but you're going soft!

Love your videos, but....for the singing to "work" and not be cringe-worthy then you gotta learn how not to take yourself seriously, how to take the piss out of yourself as a singer. Then the singing segment would be more enjoyable to watch.

Boracay is so beautyful and also crowded. But I really like that place! Great that you show how infrastructure to get there is really complucated as most places are in the Phillipines. I still remember flying from Kalibo airport to Kuala Lumpur, it was a nightmare!

Paddy, Boracay is actually pronounced “Boh-rah-kai”. Prolong the middle syllable when you say it. That little island is part of my province Aklan. Most Aklanons like it better before all the tourists came because it was really quiet with no electricity and the sand was sugar white unlike it is now where the sand looks slightly grayish. I hope they take care of it so it’ll still be there for the next generation of Aklanons to admire and enjoy.
What has the Philippines done to you with all this sings.
Thank you for explaining on the green algae. Before Boracay was closed, some media claimed the algae was caused by raw sewage which is wrong. It's indeed a natural occurance. I was there yr. 1980's when Boracay was far less known. The algae was already there, and depends on what month you visit
