Hello so i have a question i just got my 2 first guinea pigs its something ive been reserching for years, im 25 so I’m no little kid. and im currently looking for an apartment but so far i have managed a 150 cm x 60cm is that to small for 2? And also I want to point out I have bought a cc 2x5 with a little loft cage but as far as my 1 bedroom space that is 4x3 meters it will be pretty hard having a cc cage I don’t work so I mostly conect a fence around the cage and they have a soft bridge do go in and out of cage to that encousure they spend all days there from around 8 am until about 10 pm, and even if I’m out I let the cage be up like that. I worry to much maybe but I wanna do right by them and so far this is all I can do and I’m not giving any excuses more than my parents don’t like guinea pigs and I give them all I can

What do you do for them in terms of stimulation? Do they play or chew things? I never heard you mention this before.
I don't find them big chewers and I don't find they play either. They do well with snuggles, pets, clicker training and they love when you set up their cage different to explore. They find most of their entertainment from one another, interacting with their own kind but a bunch of them love attention from me.
@@skinnypigs1 Gotcha! I just always here about providing enrichment, and it can be difficult depending on the animal. Love your videos, by the way. Your voice is very soothing and sometimes I leave your cleaning videos on to help me sleep, haha!
Hey, I have an old piggy (4 years old) who hardly wants to eat anything or drink she eats some stuff like pellets and forage but will not touch her veg (lettuce cucumber and celery) have u got any tips on what she may enjoy when she eats she does drink which is good but it is quite rare I would take her to the vet but last time I took her sister they said there was nothing they could do so I should try more foods so which ones do u recommend I try with her? Any advice would be much appreciated x (I want to add more vitamins into her diet but she will only eat pear or apple as a fruit and I know they are high in sugar any vitamin tabs u recommend) xxx
That requires a vet visit and I suggest another vet then. She could have teeth issues, which need checking by a vet.

How do you stop them shedding and how do you get it of the fleece?
I don't stop shedding. If you are worried about washing hair, you can put your fleece in a laundry wash bag and then into the washer.
I just was wondering about Apple and her bladder stones... did she only get them after you switched to to upgraded Sherwood guinea pig food? I’m asking bc the same thing happened to my guy almost exactly the same time as Apple. My guy is 2... never had an issue before. I had all my piggies on the old Sherwood and then switched them to the new formula when it came out. I’m wondering if maybe he needed the extra calcium in the old formula. Saskia posted a video a few months ago about the stones and calcium being a good thing and now it’s making me wonder. The only thing is I think they might be discontinuing the old formula... 😔

The new formula has tons of calcium still, more than enough and they still get calcium through veggies and hay.
She did get it after we switched but there is no way to know if she had one brewing for awhile prior. Some pigs are prone to making them. Wish I knew why.
I know... I wish there was a way to prevent it. I have 7 piggies and the diet is the same for all of them, and none of the others have had issues. I wonder if giving some acidic foods to help them produce more acidic urine would help a bit.

Ant idea why my guinea pig wouldn't be eating his pellets as much and drinking so much extra water if he eats hay and veggies just fine?
I can't say for sure but a change in behaviour is odd. I would take your pig for a health check.
I have a suspicion that the baby girl I bought is pregnant 😳 she has never been in with my male but she has started putting on weight quite quickly. Any ideas on how to be sure, I just don't want to make an unnecessary vet visit.
Without a vet visit, I have no idea. They are pregnant for about 2 months.
