Why would you want to use a repellant, like tea tree oil, when you want the demon bugs to come into contact with the dawn, which is a desiccant?
Better to use a bait or lure with a killer chemical which needs to be in contact.

      Thanks for the interesting point.
Tea tree does not only repel bed bugs. For example there is an important compound in tea tree oil, alpha-terpinene, also exhibits insecticidal properties. It can disrupt the nervous system of insects, leading to paralysis or death of bed bugs. And also Dawn dish soap smell will also have a sort of repelling effects.
The lure or trap method for bed bugs usually involves materials that do not have a strong smell that could be detected and repelled bed bugs. Like Diatomaceous Earth or vaseline, among others.

      @@CiaoBedBugs vaseline can kill bug?

It does not kill bed bugs but it can be used as a DIY method to try and trap bed bug. Using Vaseline to trap bed bugs involves applying a layer of Vaseline to the legs of your bed or other furniture where bed bugs may be hiding. The idea is that bed bugs will get stuck in the Vaseline as they try to crawl up or down the legs of the furniture.

Tea tree oil doesn’t work anyway. I am infested with the little terrors as I write. I have been using tea tree oil including full strength on my skin to try and keep them off me ….. believe me when I tell you…it does not work!

This is Quite Long. Be Advised!! Several months ago, I bought a used book from a store. I finally started reading it a couple weeks ago. Everything prior was clean. Brand new bed, etc. No visitors for 3 months, no visiting for a month+ except a friend who absolutely did not have bugs; it's confirmed.
I started reading this book over several nights In Bed! I noticed something very small and brown-red crawl from me to the book. I thought it was a tick, so I squished it; fresh blood. I had my strongest reading glasses on, so I started looking carefully at the book. I was sure I saw something move-- which was weird right? I look very closely, and saw a tiny white-beige thing moving. I just couldn't get it in my fingers to off the bugger, and realized what it Might be. That's a bug joke! I was on page 92.
Book goes into a bag and another bag for burning. I'm as ticked off (bug joke) about the book as I am about the insects. Ummm, just found one and offed it. Squish; tiny adult.
Realizing what's probably started, I threw the bedding and clothes I was wearing off the back porch, at 2AM. That's fine, as I realize I'll need to sleep in my skivies to find them. Apparently, I have a near-instant reaction to the pests, making me an excellent sensor. This all started Thursday night and it's now Christmas Eve; I Had To miss church, which bugs me and bites deeply (bug joke) but I know I can off all the little buggers.
I've spent 3+hours researching this, so I can off (bugspray joke) the entire lot of them. I'm disabled and low income, so it's impossible for me to hire exterminator.
Any and ALL advice you can give will be greatly appreciated. I am very grateful for your channel and have subscribed and liked and saved in a file; but not a used book.
For the bookstore, I've been friends with the owners for 10 years, and I'll let him know Tuesday. I'm sure they'll give me a little assistance or some store credit. If not, it's cool. It's not like it'll bug me.
Thanks again ya'll! Have a Merry Christmas! Site owner, if you want my email for sending me info I'll give it to you. Otherwise, your channel and gogley is helping!

I’m so sorry you’re going through this and sad to say it’s likely to get a lot worse before it gets to be over. I’ve been doing some homework too, truth be told I’ve been reading incessantly since this started in the beginning of November. Also reading many personal stories on UA-cam. It starts to become very overwhelming simply because there is no set of rules you can follow to make them go away. Exterminators use different methods, people in general use different methods simply because we are desperate to get rid of them and will try anything to make it happen. I thought mine were gone after two treatments of Temprid SC, a chemical, I’m told, with a good reputation for bed bugs. Building managers took care of that and I thought it may have done the trick until last night. I started to see the little jerks again! I realized later it may be coming from my winter jacket which should’ve been fine as it had been treated in the building heat room twice! Anyway, it’s all such a long story. I just wanted to encourage you to reach out for help if it starts to get worse. Maybe your church can help or maybe there is emergency income support through your government programs, but please, don’t wait, it can get out of hand before you know it. Also, tea tree oil will help the bites feel better if you’re sensitive to them like I am. It’s also an antibacterial so it can help in preventing any kind of related infection. One more thing that might help you in early stages…Diatomaceous Earth. You can buy it anywhere and it’s only about $15. It’s a powder you can dust around your bed, on bed posts, even rub it onto your skin, anywhere bed bugs would make contact. It cuts into their exoskeleton and they dehydrate. It’s also completely natural and nontoxic, just maybe wear a mask as it’s not nice to breathe in the powder. Mine was long too, sorry…lol. Wishing you all the best and don’t let these little jerks take the Merry out of your Christmas! 🙏🏻💗🙂

If it came from a book it might be book lice. I don't know anything about them, but you might want to check it out to make sure whether you are dealing with bedbugs or book lice. Good luck

Sorry for your bed bug situation.
On top of using Dawn Dish Soap; quickly isolate and dispose of infested items, such as the book and affected clothing, by either sealing or burning them. Thoroughly clean and vacuum your living space, paying attention to cracks and crevices, and consider using diatomaceous earth as a non-toxic measure. Seal and repair hiding spots, monitor for signs of bed bugs.
You will find in this video, tips on how to get rid of bed bugs by yourself and on a budget : ua-cam.com/video/Q_fsxmBhsFs/v-deo.html
      Good luck!

I have an infestation in my apartment and the Building along with the Scabies mites. I also have Roachs i have Not had anyone over and i do not go into anyones home anywhere.
I pretty much Isolate. Its just me and my Lil Puppy.
I lived here for about 3 & 1/2 months before i started to get bite up severely i have never been around any of these types of bugs before.
I went to my Dr with Open Wounds do to my Itching and scratching! That's who told me what ive been bitten by.
So i started the Permethen Cream head to toe. I washed everything and Dryed it at the laundry matt. As well as Bagging up after washing a Few of my Heavey Blankets.
This started all roughly 4 Weeks ago. I have been bavk to th dr 2x as well as i just said screw this. As the Wounds from my Itching the scratch. Continued i swear theres sevreal that needed stitches!!
Although the ER was Extremely nice to me and respectful.
Omg i had to take a decomnation shower before i touched anything or even saw the Dr. They had me scrub from head to toe with Dawn Dish soap !
The Dr very nice said he wss on the fence on admitting me for iv Anti biotics. I let him know that i wasn't able to he admitted due to my lil dog and we have no air-conditioning so i have to make sure she stays cool.
So they gave me clindamycin antibiotic. ( I'm allergic to basically everything expect that)
And I came home did another cream treatment head to toe and Started my antibiotic. As well as Using alot of dawn dish soap and water in a squirt bottle.
I have bug bombed this place 2 x previously before these started bitting me.
Also i have used Bedbug Sprays on my Mattress and all the cracks and crevisous i could find in here so my whole studio apartment.
I have a mattress cover and all that but like i said this place the building is INFESTED And the landlords know and they legally do not have to do anything about it due to the lease agreement!!!
There are carpets that are just gross in the hallways .
I cannot afford to move at all.
Soooo The Dawndish soap does Work i unfortunately sit on my bed at night for two hours while i watch tv. And watch to see if ANYTHING crawls on my Floor and i soak it with the spray !
They do die. For a fact . However now when i go to mop my Floors its a Sudzy mess bubbles from the Dish soap on EVERYTHING.lol i used alot of dish soap.
As im saying Die you little bastard lol
Im sure my neighbors must think im crazy
But my Whole Body has So many Open Wounds from getting bit that i cant go in pulbic !!! It's horrible!! Or i have to wear Long sleeves and long pants so no one can easly see them !
Its been over 100° here and so obviously i really dont even go to the dog park with my lil doggy.
She has Zero Bites thank God!
So these bugs are coming in from other apartments and the carpet in the hallway!!
I do not have a Dryer but. Hoping if i BOIL to wash some of my Towels and smaller things that it will help idk...
And i have no more money left for anymore Bug sprays for anything i have spent alot of Money and Time on this.
If i wear to use caulking to seal up alot of areas like the whole apartment... I would have to repaint and Seal the floors and actually Remodel the whole place. Then the Managers will raise my Rent !!!
I saw something online about Mixing some drops of Tea tree oil. With dawn dish soap and of course water. In my Spray bottle but i cannot find the " Recipe" for it.
Is this something that can kill bedbugs and Scabie Mites from my mattress and couch ? I do not care if it Stains as i just want a Break with these bugs !?!!
Also what about Peroxide and Dawn Dish soap is that even a Thing ???
    Thanks

For bedbugs and roaches, thorough cleaning, sealing cracks, and using diatomaceous earth or insecticides can help. Here is a video about this: ua-cam.com/video/D8TU_wWUSJw/v-deo.html
Additionally, consider speaking with your landlord about the bed bug infestation, as they may have responsibilities under local laws.
