Bought this album on a whim maybe about 15 years ago.🤷♂️. I use to just get random stuff from the "electronic music" section at the record store. I was blasted away by all of it because it was so damn different.
Every time I listen to this track, I see this comment and picture someone in a dark room stroking their chin and squinting into the middle distance trying to learn something from the mysterious g funk whistle.
Well it isnt dubstep as the other comments here have probably made you aware of, but welcome to the club mayne! :D Always nice when people realise that there is a vast ocean of cool music out there!
Great composers do quote themselves, as Squarepusher does looking back to Maximum Priest EP "Song: Our Underwater Torch" for the ending ua-cam.com/video/AecVsNO7CPg/v-deo.html
Why isn't anyone listening to this? what the frick man... listen to this! I'm not really a dubstep guy.. so I don't even think of this as dub step.. This sounds like weather report meets a marching percussion line meets.. well electronics.. but for anyone who doesn't think of this as music maybe that will help... it's jazz man... and well.. jazz is the reality music.. it's emotionally intense.. because that't how real life is..
@@Brendan-Black I’m his early work he used a track mixer with analogue recording equipment you can see his setup in this video m.ua-cam.com/video/rgjtD8tXI_0/v-deo.html
Go Plastic.. One of the best electronic music albums ever alongside with Aphex Twin's Drukqs.. Have them both on vinyl. Respect.
lucky bugger
I grew up around cds so i had gotten drukqs and now im going to buy this vinyl asap. one of my favorite albums.
DruQks? Damn and it's not even close to RDJ's best album. But I do dig this Squarepusher album a whole lot 😎
Top 3 includes another Warp’s insanity : Autechre’s « Draft 7.30 » :)
This is the greatest!! Wish I had both on vinyl you lucky devil
this track feels like a whole squarepusher album condensed
I love this album
i can tell
Imagine sitting down and making this...and listening to it in its entirety before anyone else lays ears on it. would be wicked

I would so have loved a reaction video with the members of Weather Report listening to this track.
One of his very best.
this album is eternal
Was going through my old favorites and noticed this song I had on there from 6 years ago got removed :c Thanks for reuploading!
this made my psychology explode
Masterpiece
this made my dog bark
This is the best track, of all tracks ever made.
It's good, maybe not *that* good though.
❤🤯
*adds g funk whistle for no reason*
what did he mean by this?
the high pitch synth melody at the end
Every time I listen to this track, I see this comment and picture someone in a dark room stroking their chin and squinting into the middle distance trying to learn something from the mysterious g funk whistle.
he added the whistle because why not?
You wouldn't ask Miles Davis, Stravinsky or Bach 'what do you mean by this music?' Good music never refers to anything but itself.
its not gfunk exclusive
If Squarepusher had a decent agent,he’d have won X Factor by now!
Yes.
back when electronic music breathed
boom goes the dynamite

the drums are so stereo....this is a secret sauce
Помню прятал план от мамки в обложку от диска в начале 00-х )))
If Slavoj Zizek was a track

it has been done... it is classic...but peeps move on.
This comment gave me a migraine
This *isn't* dubstep.
Not thinking of this as music will help..? This is music, FFS. 🤯
you know not every type of electronic music is dubstep right?
This isn't dubstep.
Nope, it's a lot better.
Not eXactly music in the usuaL Sense...BUTT... it is an ARTistic masterpiece
Wtf are you babbling about? This is 100% music.
It's nowhere near dubstep.
Duh. This is a lot better than dubstep.
@@metachirality I really doubt Squarepusher never used a computer (whether he said he didn't use one or not, I call bullshit).
