- Epic one this time lots of oven cooking roast chicken dinner and a apple pie all cooked on the fire in my oven I used my Dutch army canvas tent and I stayed at the flood camp very windy and wet the water come up real fast but we got off the island on time big thanks for watching

Lovely camping and food. Anyone who complained that you weren’t using oven is just bored or jealous. As long as you are enjoying yourself then most of us are happy to watch.

Main reason I’m off out soon to do some wild camping is my dog!she is a rescue dog who for the first year of life went to five different people all abused her so I’m going to get her out for the life she is bred for and definitely deserve!please pray for us that we are successful because I’m now fifty so I just pray that I have enough time left to take care of suki after she’s gone I too will die! I’m not of great health arthritis but pain is relative?as long as suki is happy living life so too will I be she’s around 3year old now and this April we have been together for 2years and she has already saved my life once physically by being at my side and I suffer with bipolar type 2 and without her I feel like I would of taken my life!thx for putting this up great inspiration

Although I love all the trips you take us on, I didn't realize how much I missed seeing these cooking camps. The minute I saw the oven, I thought "Apple Pie!" . Thanks so much.

I love my Dutch tents. I have 3, so when I'm able to I like to zip them together to make one big tent. Space to store my stuff, space to sleep, and a space for boots and wet gear. Perfect.

Great to see the oven used again. Also, the quick pack up when the water rises is a good lesson. I was sleeping on a sandbar in a river long ago, and woke up in about an inch of water. Had all my stuff back in the canoe in about 3 seconds. Love your videos.

Hi John and Tyson. Best chicken ever. As usual. The advantages of being a chef. What could go wrong. Tyson was patiently waiting to eat that delicious chicken. Can you tell me what goes into the gravy? Leftover chicken juices and some of the vegetable water, but is that it? What a delicious meal. You were lucky the water didn’t rise during the night. Hope you still bring your flood water alarm. Stay safe and well til the next one!
I do still carry my alarm that is what woke me up befor it got to high the gravy was finished with a bit of bisto gravy mix

Still chuckling about the doggie balaclava. Tyson did not look like he was loving it though.
Did the tent leak? I have one in the desert camo and am not sure about taking it out if I know it is going to rain. I have seen your vids and others reporting leaks in rain. Shame because it is a lovely tent and stays nice and warm once the doors are closed. I like the tent and love that industrial grade flooring. Not so keen on carrying it though. But we cannot have everything I suppose.
Good techniques for cooking a chicken on a camp site. Chicken looks brown and delicious. Good video.
Dinner looks absolutely gorgeous, I have a chicken in the oven but it will never taste as good as being out in the open with the wind blowing and the sound of the water running through, Tysons a lucky boy, apple pie mmmn
