Hello, I'm new to your channel. My husband and I enjoy watching your everyday adventures. We have lived in Costa Rica for about 3 years now. On one of you videos you were washing the clothes in a tubs. Here a lot of people don't have electricity or running water especially on the reservations. They have a washing machine that is solar powered and you fill it with a hose or buckets of water. The amazing thing is the spinner on it, your clothes are almost dry by the time it is done. I use this type of washing machine and love it. The simplicity and how clean the clothes get is amazing. We have to dry our clothes pretty fast in rainy season and the spinner on these are perfect for that. Did I mention it is made out of plastic otherwise it would rust pretty quick here. Thank you for vlogging your days.

@blob blob technically it is, there is a lot of work you don't see that goes into videoing and editing. It's time consuming. Just because it's not a "traditional" job doesn't mean it isn't...especially if they are monetized. Then it's a job by virtue of them simply getting paid.

Well, they do make trips into town every few weeks (as seen in the video buying chicken feed). There are some things that are naturally made they can do at the cabin, but don't forget that once every few weeks they do get some supplies from town.
@@apersiannihilist5632 Simple. The electricity is provided by solar panels, as seen in other videos - they even have a backup generator to maintain energy levels when needed (if their solar power station reserves run low). As for jobs... people would probably drive into town and work there. For Ariel and Eric, they've worked in California and bought their Alaska property after selling a property in Oregon. They also don't have children so they're in a much better position to save money. I'd imagine they also earn some ad revenue from UA-cam on their vids. Property taxes for them would be so minimal and they don't need to worry about utilities. Their cost of living is VERY low - and the couple is certainly not hurting for money. They're set for a while.
We're getting ready to go off the grid in about a year. Your videos have been great. Thanks for some very eye opener events. The one thing you've not touched on is the interaction between each other as you deal with all of the new events

Just last week Gunner was on the bow as we were getting ready to beach boat and a winter king salmon jumped out of the water. I though Gunner was going in after it. 😂
Always a pleasure to see how well you 2 work together. Love the videos.
It would seem you have much work to do - without having a “job”! 😀 Too bad you can’t park more of your machinery in the shed out of the snow. Excellent video, as always. Regards from Australia. Cheers, Jeff 👍😀🦌🏠🥩
UA-cam is a job
Mr Andrew 😂😂😂
@blob blob technically it is, there is a lot of work you don't see that goes into videoing and editing. It's time consuming. Just because it's not a "traditional" job doesn't mean it isn't...especially if they are monetized. Then it's a job by virtue of them simply getting paid.
So calming. Cozy and satisfying. Your shower is outside? BRRRRZ
Love how your just really comfortable in each others company ....anyway that's another bottle of red down watching your great content ...keep it up the wine industry needs you :0)
I witnessed strength in so many ways. Thank you for sharing.
that's one heck of a BIC lighter for getting the stove lit in the morning! :)
You two are the most lucky couple on earth!
Oof im just 13 yrs old and I live in the cities but i cant help but feel freaked out about how quiet this place is, I hear cars people in movies and my older bro screaming while playing video games so I can never get this quiet
A tip, always put the chickpeas in hot (or warm) water, they will be more tender after coocking. Greetins from Cádiz, southern Europe, where the strait of Gibraltar unites two continents.
I wonder how you tackle thing like bathing, skincare, contraceptives, and general small ailments like achy joints and colds. I assume you do it all naturally or on a budget. It would be interesting to hear you take on hygiene!
Well, they do make trips into town every few weeks (as seen in the video buying chicken feed). There are some things that are naturally made they can do at the cabin, but don't forget that once every few weeks they do get some supplies from town.
@@AJR-zg2py what about electricity ? How do they get electricity????
And what kind of jobs do people have in there?
@@AJR-zg2py sounds like heaven lol
Thanks for the info
We're getting ready to go off the grid in about a year. Your videos have been great. Thanks for some very eye opener events. The one thing you've not touched on is the interaction between each other as you deal with all of the new events
