New Balance Fresh Foam 680v7 Running Shoe Review

In 2022 I've been running on the New Balance 680v7 shoes. In this video I review the shoes and provide my thoughts after having run over 1000km in different pairs of them.

I bought it and loved it. Those who don’t like big squishy foam under their feet, go for these. They are solid, light weight, sturdy and comfortable.

Thanks for the review, I happened to be looking at a sale pair here in the UK. I tend to find NB shoes give better value relatively than Adidas and certainly Nike in the standard foam market. I might take a punt on a pair as my everyday spring summer shoe.

I do have wide feet too, hence HUGE difficulties in finding the right ones for me. What other models would you recommend for wide feet runners? Thanks 🙂

I agree, thumbs down to the Fresh Foam on the shoe.
I like the NB. I have wide feet and these are one of the few brands that fit

Just got a pair of these for $50 at DSW, but only in a different colorway and not wide. I think in extra wide, they are currently $80 there!

Thanks for review, did you have the 680v6 also? As those had abzorb technology and the v7 removed the abzorb tech and went to “fresh foam” did you notice a difference?

I bought both the V6 & V7 within a month of each other because the price was so good. The V6 bottom sole is like a plank of wood until it breaks in, which doesn't take long. The V7 feels good right out of the box.
The V7 is a bit softer overall and feels lighter on my foot, maybe because the upper is more sock-like.
Both soles absorb heel strikes well.

@@AvaAba-br4fn The price varies widely. I bought my first pair on sale for $45. The second identical pair was only $30 from Amazon on a flash sale. I've found that NB shoes are cheapest February - March.

@@fourrunningshoes6770 the v8 is super light and maybe softer than you describe the 7. it was $80 u.s. locally. i got a full size bigger than my boots, and there's good toe room and no heel slip even not tied. i like it a lot
