Fingers crossed. I’m a big Midnights stan, like it’s my number 1 favorite Taylor album, but Midnights is very restrained and subdued as an album and not as “in your face frantic and aggressive” as the production of reputation. I’m actually quite nervous for his reaction on the remaining 5 albums because it’s very different from rep.
@@nixllamas9823 a midnights stan? Me too! 😭 it's my favorite album only after ttpd, I actually think he'll love it, maybe not all of it you're right, I see it as as a mix between 1989/rep so it'll probably be mixed. I actually think he wont like lover at all since I had the same taste (became her fan with rep, didnt really vibe with alot of lover, loved folk more and midnights and ttpd)
Lover is polarizing, the highs are high, but oh boy the lows of that album is so beneath the ground low (aka most of the singles lol). I love Midnights because I like the synthpop dreampop genre, but most importantly I love that album’s creative concept and aesthetic. Sleeplessness? Stars? Sparkles? Space? Sign me up!

“This one is my favorite” me smiling at my screen while watching, cause that statement alone beats grammys snubbing this album of the nomination for AOTY
Taylor won in the end, despite them snubbing rep lol. Lover being the top selling album of 2019, folklore was a chef’s kiss genre switch AOTY, evermore while underrated is loved by the fans, Midnights and TTPD: both record breaking. Let’s also add the success of the rerecordings and Eras tour, so yeah Taylor had the last laugh in the end lol.
Look What You Made Me Do was the FIRST single from this album. I wasn't even a fan at the time, but I still very clearly remember the day that video dropped. The entire world was like "What the fuck is this?"
I was grounded when rep dropped, 13 years old, snuck downstairs to listen to it on the lowest volume while sitting on the kitchen floor. wasn’t even a huge fan at the time, as I had literally JUST gotten into exploring mainstream music after being raised on my parents 70’s-80’s music. after that she was in all my playlists. fast forward to when midnights dropped, I initially didn’t like it but went back and it ended up becoming a favorite. that’s when I decided that I needed to back through her entire discography and listen to her other music that I thought I didn’t like. at the time Red was one of my least favs, now it’s probably top 3. I can now proudly (embarassingly?? 😅) say that I can name 99% of her songs by the first few seconds, and I know pretty much all the words to every single song (including features and movie songs) aside from a few on debut and fearless (and her christmas album, don’t kill me). I love debut more than fearless (no hate to fearless she slays) but I can’t do her baby voice especially after listening to only taylor’s version so I’m SUPER excited for debut TV. anyway you didn’t ask for this but I needed to share 😭😭😭

I believe Taylor stopped working with Max Martin because he demands writing credits despite doing none of the writing. This was revealed in a court case where he had to admit to a jury that he did not actually have any hand in writing lyrics for Shake It Off but it's in his contract that he gets writing credits for anything he produces(over the years, many have sued Taylor and Max by claiming they stole 'players gonna play' from at least 2 dozen other songs by now[all lawsuits failed btw]). Taylor is over giving people for things they didn't actually help with. However, even the most minor suggestion or change gets a credit. Zoe Kravitz even has writing credits on songs on Midnights because she was with Taylor in the studio and gave a few pointers. So, it's not like Max is being jipped. He just wasn't helping with the writing.
Yes I kind of figured that from before, when she had those addendums to her 1989 album. And she played the clip of when she played her song Blank Space to Max Martin for the first time. And it was clearly already written. And then she said, and then Max Martin added in an "Oh!". Ha ha. So I can tell even at the time, she was mocking him, like okay, all he added in was an oh, lol.
And that's why I've never liked Max. He's great as a producer, but very greedy. Also, what about Shellback or Ilya Salmanzadeh (I might've misspelled his name)? Do they require writing credits too? Cause if not, she should start working with them again, they're as good as Max
@@wazowski6602 I'm still wondering what exactly happened to Sellback. He appears as a producer on Wildest Dreams tv so when he came out I was like "oh okay we still have Sellback, we're safe" but then he didn't appear on the whole album 🙃 I was hoping he would at least be in the studio for Shake it off tv, blank space tv and style tv. basically he produced wildest dreams tv because taylor released it in 2021 and at that time she was re-recording red and on the songs that shellback had had produced on red in 2012, he went back and re-produced them. so while he was working on red tv, he kinda did the same thing for wildest dreams. so why didn’t he reproduce 1989? i think we’ll never know.
ok so suggestion for the performances reaction stream for this album is DEFINITELY - i did something bad - don't blame me performances from the reputation stadium tour film specifically.
This has become my favorite first time listening series in a long time - I LOVE when people actually care about the lore because it’s why we’ve all been here for almost 20 years lol. Thanks for giving each album a chance and spending real time getting to know it 🥲
You should definitely watch the Reputation Tour at some point, seeing this album live with the visuals really helped sell me on it (and sell me on some of the songs I initially wasn't sure about)
She played this on Jimmy Fallon's show on the date he came back after his mom died. Before her performance he told a story about how as a teen who didn't want his mom to be demonstrative she would walk with him to the store and squeeze his hand three times to let him know she loved him. Then Taylor sings this--'you squeeze my hand three times in the back of the taxi.' The TEARS on Fallon's face, the hug after--it was incredibly moving.
Rep is my favorite, and Ready For It is probably my second favorite of hers of all time, thank you SO much for the reaction of getting to see you mind blown about that! You loved all the underrated songs I stan for, this was EVERYTHING, thank you so much! You neeeeeed to see the Rep Tour for sure, but if not that at *least* the Reputation chunk of Eras if you're not planning to watch that for us (but you should!). The string of Ready For It, I Did Something Bad, and Don't Blame Me on Reputation Tour is PEAK touring up till Eras.
I was sooo hyped but also scared about this reaction coming up, because Rep just is MY ALBUM. I love it so much and I think there will never be another album like it for me. All of this to say, I'm really really glad you liked it. And as many others have already pointed out, the Reputation Tour is so good, you should definitely watch it. And if you are interested in music production I would also highly recommend the "making of a song" series about this album, it's so fun.
reputation is my favorite album too, I'm glad to find someone who enjoys the album as much as I do.I don't know if you were a fan of One Direction but I would like you to react to their albums and upload them here or also Sabrina's latest album, please 🥺
For live performances I would recommend: Dear John, The story of us and Haunted from the Speak Now tour Intro + ready for it + I did something bad from Reputation tour Don't blame me and Look what you made me do, My tears ricochet and Marjorie or Champagne problems from Eras (honestly pretty much the entire tour is a must see) Out of the Woods from 1989 tour Exile from long pond sessions (or whatever you like from Folklore) Wildest Dreams from the grammy museum Cornelia Street live from Paris Can't stop loving you cover in BBC live lounge Cardigan/August/Willow from the Grammys
your reactions trip me up. you listen and i think you won't like it but then it's just you being in awe or surprised. lol. you should watch the reputation stadium tour.
We all basically lost our shit when this came out 😂 we support her with any album, just give us more! Great reaction, she really is an amazing musician and person!
I maintain that Dancing With Our Hands Tied itself felt a little lost in the sauce. The subject matter/lyrics were so dissonant with the production/music itself - and not in the intentionally contrasting way, like she does in some other songs (like Anti-Hero and some others you'll come across soon) - that it felt incredibly jarring to me. Hearing it acoustic in the rep tour kinda really changed it for me - I *vastly* prefer it acoustic. (side note, please watch that one once you're done with TTPD, as well as the eras tour film!) Loving your reactions so far, thank you for taking the time and seriously engaging with the music the whole way through! And I absolutely love that you're a SSSS (Stay Stay Stay Stan), really looking forward to seeing your reaction to a similarly silly track in an upcoming album 😉
dude there are sooo many good music videos you need to watch PLEASE. the all too well short film, bad blood mv, the man!!! so many. highly recommend doing a taylor MV stream
This is one of my favorite albums, tied in 2nd place with Midnights, TTPD is #1, so it was in my top spot for awhile 😂 it’s a no skip album for me, New Years Day is my favorite! I get to see her on November 3rd, so I’m hoping for that as a SS!
I also agree you need to watch the rep stadium tour! The eras tour set for rep is also incredible! I watched this one first and i'm going through all your other taylor videos but in the fearless one you said you prefer upbeat songs in general and I'm the same way so I think you'll enjoy Midnights and lover because those have great upbeat songs!! "I think he knows" is my favorite off of lover and its impossible for me to be sad listening to it, it's just so infectiously joyful
Ive been binging your TSwift videos today and can i just say your takes and opinions are VALID and i appreciate throughout your journey that you appreciate the albums for what they are and not talk down HAAAARD like how sometimes people criticize certain albums cuz for us fellow Swifties we all believe that a "bad" Taylor album doesnt exist, we just like one better than the other. It is what it is (speaking as a 1989 Stan, yes im sad that you didnt like Say Dont Go that much but its okay) and im very excited for when these videos or streams,if i can catch it on time, drop and i very much appreciate it from you❤️
swifties as a fanbase is so massive so yeah the personal taylor album rankings varies a lot. like I don’t get why people get mad when other swifties/reactors rank their fave albums lower in the Taylor totem pole, when it’s just a matter of preference when it comes to her entire body of work. sure I physically ache when I see albums like Midnights or like TTPD at the bottom, but I simply move on and stream harder for mother lol.
@nixllamas9823 I agree like I remember sometimes when I watch Troy's reaction videos where I hardly disagree with some takes but I have to realize at the end of the day, we gotta appreciate that people who haven't listen to any of Taylor's music are starting to get into it now and for that I'm just grateful we are getting these videos today. So I'm just gonna shake it off(pun intended😝) and just keep it pushin
“As you can tell by the title, I am a straight white male” Bro even if I couldn’t read lol, I’d know. And yes, I know I was in the livestream chat but I’m still gonna watch this again because I have a sparkly mushy goldfish brain and it’ll be just as fun the second time around 😂
I love jerry so much with his straight male reactions but i can't gauge his reaction for folklore/evermore im kinda scared for my girlie tswift 🥺 but for sure Jerry's gonna be him and i won't have him any other way since that's what I subscribed for. Anyhow and anywho, It's gonna be fire.
I know I made a ton of comments, but watching someone with a genuine open mind, realise how much work and craft Taylor puts into her music, is a wonderful thing, Even when the decide she's not for them.
Thank you, Jerry for listening to Reputation! I will always be a Reputation girl but Folklore is definitely something else. I can't wait for you to listen to it!
Rep was the first full album I listened from Tay! Loved it at first listen! And still do - can’t wait for Rep TV❤❤ BUT YOU HAVE TO WATCH THE TOUR MOVIE!!! You must!
The reputation tour live videos are crazy!!! She performs with a live band paired with the base...and she really belts in some of her songs. She can put on a perfpormamce!!
I listen to Tool, APC, Pink Floyd, Pantera, Metallica, Deftones, NIN, Rage Against the Machine, Chevelle, FFDP, Slipknot, Audoslave, you get the point. And I'm a massive Swiftie. I adore music, its okay to be multifaceted. Dont be a contrarian.
I’ve always been for a Reputation girlie myself. The album became even better once I understood the context and reason behind the album. I am so excited for when Rep TV is released, but it’s going to be interesting adjusting to a slightly different sound 😅.
Big TOOL fan here, and also a big Swifty! You are in for a treat with this woman! She is brilliant! I would suggest to take a look at the live performances for "Ready for it?", "I did something bad" and "Don't blame me" from the Reputation Tour and she will blow your mind. Also take a look at the video for "Look what you made me do" one of the most brilliant music videos ever made. Nearly every frame of that video is a reference to something.
not him calling her mon.... 😂😂😂😂 Amd Dress is just fine huh?? Audacious Btw, Rep is about finding love thru caos and noise... So that's why it begins with a lot of production and ends just with her and a piano and call it what you want os also very chill
Are you ready for it + intro live from the Reputation tour is off the charts!! She is a little more badass 😊 live version from the VMA’s I did something bad is a great performance.
Love the reaction and really appreciated how respectful you're even though some of the songs are not your cup of tea. I'm going to make a prediction that he's not going to like folklore and Evermore as much.
I think along with many great suggestions that I Can Do It With A Broken Heart from the Eras Tour is one that should be watched because of the whole performing while you're performing. Of course I also love the little scream at the end of Who's Afraid of Little Old Me in the live version that started somewhere in Europe.
I echo that READY FOR IT (& I Did something bad which is THE TOP LIVE PERFORMANCE EVER) AND Don't blame me) from the Rep tour is unmissable. I think 'End Game' is maybe my favorite (top 5) Videos. It's just such a party and it alllllll makes sense as a cohesive vibe.
OKAY i really appreciated this reaction. Im glad you like TIWWCHNT because it’s overrated. Same with ME! on the next album but since you’re a stay stay stay stan I have hope….. 😂
Help I hadn’t even noticed the moan in king of my heart until now and now I can’t unhear it 😂 I thought I liked the acoustic better but now I’m gonna have to sit with this.
I think Reputation brings in more new fans than Folklore to be honest… even my friends who are a hater before start listening to her entire discography because of Reputation And this is one album that aged incredibly well compare to her other albums like every songs on this record kinda gets a sudden resurgence on tiktok
Listen, I've been here since the start of this Tay journey and for the whole time I've been trying to figure out something about you Jerry and I didn't know what it is even. It has finally dawned on me. I know what it is. It's that you sound so much like Hiccup from HTTYD. I'm sure you get it all the time, I'm sure. I'm proud of myself for finally getting it though. so shush. Enjoying this very much :)
The JD Vance comment made sense. The lyric he was commenting on at the time “I’ll go home to my cat” Vance has made disparaging comments on childless cat ladies. Made logical sense to me.
Reputation is the album that made me a fan. It was my favorite Taylor Swift album until 1989 TV was released. And after The Tortured Poets Department, it’s #3. Speak Now and Midnights round out my top 5.
This is a lot if you would do it but I’d love to see you react to every tour, ending with the eras tour which takes inspo from each of the previous tours so you’d get the references more. So all in all that would be fearless tour, speak now tour, red tour, 1989 tour, rep tour, and then eras tour so that’s 7 tours all in all, a lot of content and I bet you there’s an audience for it, I think you could do it!! And to like see her progression as a performer. But yeah if you only want specific performances it will probably show itself in the comments which ones are the most requested, but just consider at least for a moment doing all the tours, kinda like you’ve done all the albums, see each tour as yet another projects of hers that evolve over time and build on each other and it’ll show you so much more vibe/visuals for each album as well and add to the world-building, but yeah big project to take on but you’re doing wonderfully with the albums so I just thought I’d at least suggest it 🫶
Max is amazing, but Jack, as Taylor’s best friend knows what she likes. I think he really shines in the last 4. Especially Folklore, Evermore, and TTPD as they’re my top 3 favorite albums🫶🏻 I can’t wait for those reactions!!!
The Reputation tour is a MUST WATCH. You will be blown away.
I thought nothing could beat Rep Tour in terms of live performances (and maaaaybe nothing does) but holy fucking shit the chunk of Rep on Eras...

Excited but nervous for your reaction 😅
reputation is my favorite album too, I'm glad to find someone who enjoys the album as much as I do.I don't know if you were a fan of One Direction but I would like you to react to their albums and upload them here or also Sabrina's latest album, please 🥺
Omg im so early! Love your videos btw, i’m so excited for folklore, its my favourite
For live performances I would recommend:
Dear John, The story of us and Haunted from the Speak Now tour
Intro + ready for it + I did something bad from Reputation tour
Don't blame me and Look what you made me do, My tears ricochet and Marjorie or Champagne problems from Eras (honestly pretty much the entire tour is a must see)
Out of the Woods from 1989 tour
Exile from long pond sessions (or whatever you like from Folklore)
Wildest Dreams from the grammy museum
Cornelia Street live from Paris
Can't stop loving you cover in BBC live lounge
Cardigan/August/Willow from the Grammys
REPUTATION IS MY FAVORITE ALBUM
I’m so excited for this one. So many people get an introduction at the live Movie of the Reputation tour. It blew me away.
your reactions trip me up. you listen and i think you won't like it but then it's just you being in awe or surprised. lol. you should watch the reputation stadium tour.
The way she ate both ed and future in endgame is so crazy
never will be more crazy that she brought them two on to collaborate and then ate them for breakfast lol
We all basically lost our shit when this came out 😂 we support her with any album, just give us more! Great reaction, she really is an amazing musician and person!
you should definitely look out for the rock version of 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together ' on the 1989 Tour!
(side note, please watch that one once you're done with TTPD, as well as the eras tour film!)
Loving your reactions so far, thank you for taking the time and seriously engaging with the music the whole way through! And I absolutely love that you're a SSSS (Stay Stay Stay Stan), really looking forward to seeing your reaction to a similarly silly track in an upcoming album 😉
Which similar silly track are you referring to? I'm curious 😅
@@woolfric Anti-hero: Happy beat but sad lyrics
ICDIWABH: Happy beat but sad lyrics
Can't think of anything else lol
New Year’s Day Is such a beautiful closer one of my favourites forrr surreeee
I did something bad live at the AMAs was INSANEEEEE
This man is not ready for tolerate it
And we will be sat for that reaction
I am absolutely feral for Rep TV vault tracks 🐍
Eras Tour Reputation set along with Reputation stadium Tour intro plus ready for it
This album is Taylor's Magnum opus for me.
just woke up and REPUTATIONNNNNN IS HERE
dude there are sooo many good music videos you need to watch PLEASE. the all too well short film, bad blood mv, the man!!! so many. highly recommend doing a taylor MV stream
This is one of my favorite albums, tied in 2nd place with Midnights, TTPD is #1, so it was in my top spot for awhile 😂 it’s a no skip album for me, New Years Day is my favorite! I get to see her on November 3rd, so I’m hoping for that as a SS!
Love this TTPD appreciation!!🤍
@@pattie5408 it’s a masterpiece :)
"Primal drumming!" Yeah? Wait 'til you see the Reputation Tour Live version. HUGE drums. 🎉
How did I just *know* Jerry B would be a rep girlie? Because. That’s why. Been waiting for this reaction and it did not disappoint. 🔥🔥🔥
Yeah, you definitely need to watch the opening of the Reputation tour film (intro + Ready for It) and Don't Blame Me.
It is what it is (speaking as a 1989 Stan, yes im sad that you didnt like Say Dont Go that much but its okay) and im very excited for when these videos or streams,if i can catch it on time, drop and i very much appreciate it from you❤️
And yes I agree, PLEASE watch the Reputation Stadium Tour if you can find it cuz Netflix sadly took it down
swifties as a fanbase is so massive so yeah the personal taylor album rankings varies a lot. like I don’t get why people get mad when other swifties/reactors rank their fave albums lower in the Taylor totem pole, when it’s just a matter of preference when it comes to her entire body of work.
sure I physically ache when I see albums like Midnights or like TTPD at the bottom, but I simply move on and stream harder for mother lol.
I hope after you react to the Lover album, you react to Miss Americana documentary.
“As you can tell by the title,
I am a straight white male”
Bro even if I couldn’t read lol,
I’d know.
And yes,
I know I was in the livestream chat but I’m still gonna watch this again because I have a sparkly mushy goldfish brain and it’ll be just as fun the second time around 😂
I’ve always loved This is why we can’t have nice things! I think it’s so fun, I try not to overthink it 🤷🏼♀️
1:05:02 This is the highest note she's ever hit in her career 🎤
welcome back swiftie bees!
Yesss i was waiting for this🔥🔥🔥
Can’t wait for the upcoming album reactions!
Omg your faces throughout this whole reaction and especially “Look what you made me do” had me cackling 😂😂😂
will forever be a rep Stan 🖤
Amd Dress is just fine huh?? Audacious
Btw, Rep is about finding love thru caos and noise... So that's why it begins with a lot of production and ends just with her and a piano and call it what you want os also very chill
Jerry Bees is my type
his physical features remind me too much of Benson Boone and I’m not exactly sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing lol
@@nixllamas9823good
GOD i can’t wait for folkmore
Are you ready for it + intro live from the Reputation tour is off the charts!! She is a little more badass 😊 live version from the VMA’s I did something bad is a great performance.
Delicate’s another one with an AMAZING video out there for you to find.
Ready for it, I did something bad, don't blame me, king of my heart on Reputation tour are unreal.
That haircut it’s giving daddy👁️👄👁️
💀
Love the reaction and really appreciated how respectful you're even though some of the songs are not your cup of tea.
I'm going to make a prediction that he's not going to like folklore and Evermore as much.
I'm just mad this didn't make it's way to my subscription feed?? 😮 cannot wait to spend some time with this masterpiece and your commentary 🥰
So excited for folklore evermore and midnights 😛
You really should do her live video of this it’s SO much better.
AHHHH I missed the stream unfortunately but happy to watch now !! One of my fav albums, hopefully you liked it 😂😂
OKAY i really appreciated this reaction.
I think Reputation brings in more new fans than Folklore to be honest… even my friends who are a hater before start listening to her entire discography because of Reputation
And this is one album that aged incredibly well compare to her other albums like every songs on this record kinda gets a sudden resurgence on tiktok
Hahahaha Ive only gotten that once before so it's not unheard of
The JD Vance comment made sense. The lyric he was commenting on at the time “I’ll go home to my cat”
Vance has made disparaging comments on childless cat ladies.
Made logical sense to me.
I just binge watched all your TS reactions and now I need more, please! When's the next one coming?
Wind in my hair I was there (in the chat) I remember it all too well
Reputation is the album that made me a fan.
But yeah if you only want specific performances it will probably show itself in the comments which ones are the most requested, but just consider at least for a moment doing all the tours, kinda like you’ve done all the albums, see each tour as yet another projects of hers that evolve over time and build on each other and it’ll show you so much more vibe/visuals for each album as well and add to the world-building, but yeah big project to take on but you’re doing wonderfully with the albums so I just thought I’d at least suggest it 🫶
this man was GAGGED 😭🥰😌🤌
Max is amazing, but Jack, as Taylor’s best friend knows what she likes. I think he really shines in the last 4. Especially Folklore, Evermore, and TTPD as they’re my top 3 favorite albums🫶🏻 I can’t wait for those reactions!!!
