- This video is mainly about how I saved myself $900-1200 by taking my busted oil pan and closing the window permanently so the oil will stay in.
With a little time, skill saw and a tig welder anyone can rebuild about any busted piece of metal, no matter how much the haters are gonna hate on it. - Авто та транспорт
I've welded up lots of oil pans. My first one was when my brother hit a rock and split his oil pan in his car. Welded it up, replaced the oil, JB weld gasket, he was off to work an hour late. I don't envy the next person to drop that pan. Nice work!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 that'll definitely do the job!
Good job man. It's yer rig, do what you see fit! I will be impressed to see it generating revenue fer ya! I am glad UA-cam sent me here and will def tip my hat seeing this truck tracking straight and not shaking! WAY past my pay grade so I am excited to see ya taker on!
Thanks!! I'm going to keep pushing forward and showing everything I can.
Looks good brother, primer, paint, and will look just fine!
I like that Frankenstein look
Looks good brother. Saved money for other parts and pieces.
Oh yeah for sure!
Awesome job
Thanks dude!
New to your channel like to watch trucks getting worked on = SOUTH AUSTRALIA, RON
Thanks Ron, nice to have you in the family.
You do good work!
Thank you!
I would say your patch job should hold up fine it will look almost brand new once you paint it. 👍🏼
I thought about cleaning the outer welds up and painting it but I kinda like the Frankenstein look and showing people I talk to in person that you don't always have to go buy or replace every single little thing just because it's Busted, broke or dented. 30 years ago, they would have done it the same way, but everyone now is in this "that's stupid, just spend the money and replace it" agenda that is wasteful and ignorant.
Hell ya man thats legit.
Yes sir! Gonna save some money on this one
You did a great job
Why did you not cut a straight line instead of making a jagidt edge Weld ? Help a rookie understand
Made it easier that way
I work for the company that owned this and my boss would love to talk to you about your build.
He owned this truck? That's pretty cool!
@blantondynamics We bought 2 of them and are in the middle of redoing the second on now.We didn't paint it but did the frame and fenders the new stacks.
How can I get in touch with him?
lol cooda saved lots of doe if i had your skills.frankinstien pan..sweeeet
Do a leak test to see if oil will come-out of the welds. otherwise, great job..
I'm not worried about it leaking
I’d go ahead and check your rod and main bearings while the oil pan is off. Cheap insurance
Already did. That video is coming out this weekend
@@blantondynamics Ten 4 , i will keep an eye out for it to drop !
kenworth w900 oil pan in ebay cost about $200 to $300
That's definitely incorrect. You can't just search the make and model. That's not how that works. You have to search the engine as every manufacturer uses every brand engine. Then there are different liter engines and on top of that there are many different model of the same liter engine. Thanks for your input though. 👍
You can get the oil pan for 600$ online
But I don't need one. I fixed mine.
Call Tim gentry he probably got one
I dont need one. This one is all welded up and done.
The main housing bore is damaged and if you are lucky the block can be align hone back to a standard bore size
However by the look lf the bearing I’d get crank looked at
If you use engine by replacing the bearing I would be very surprised if it gives you much service
I probably Aline honed more blocks than most people have heart beats
Best of luck
Thank you for the information. What causes that issue? And how can a block that large be out of align? That's crazy to think about.
