Dude you did the wrong thing ! dont cut your line you snagged that bird you reel it in if you can and make sure you get any hooks and line off ok , next time !
I caught 2 Seagulls crab snearing. 1st one got off on its own. Second, reeled it in gently, set the bird down on the ground. It never took its eyes off of me but also didn't move. It had a look of "come on, I got fish to eat." He never moved! My line was wrapped 5 times around the mid part of its wing. The Seagull flew away just fine.
That bang spray is no bueno. Had plenty of days where baits that were sprayed didnt get bit at all. Just toss some pile worm out shallow, they will find it.
Reel the bird if you can if you have help cover head and pin it down and remove the line. I’ve seen people cutting line with with up to 3 to 5 oz weights ends up being an anchor to the animal or bird and drowning them. A lot of people use braided line which makes it even worse. My last bird catching was a osprey a had six oz weight everyone was yelling cut the line but I new better reeled her in as fast as possible and she sat up on the bank and let me untangle her which surprised me , I was scared at first. Another tip for all fishermen is carry a pair of heavy duty leather gloves with you. I have a pair of welding gloves just in case of having to deal with animals. Take it from a long time fisherman whose caught birds , otters, dogs, beavers and the occasional fishing buddy, be prepared out there for anything. Shew any birds , or otters away if you have minnows be aware the otters will go after them they got me twice . Those are very nerve racking to remove.
I hate animal surprises lol i was on a creek once dredging for gold and we were all set up after and hour and i noticed in the bank where it was cut a red fox laying there dying with a fractured leg, it was barely alive poor creature we picked up and went down stream to give it some peace . Thanks for posting and the heads up location, i been wanting to hit the striper run for awhile now i'll be heading up from the valley now for sure.
Normally i filet the sardeen and put the meat facing out and also that garlic spray is garbage. I use the pink lunker one. But only after a few hours if they arnt hitting on just sardeen

Just subbed and started my own little channel for memories with my kids. Nice content and updates.
Thanks 🙏
Full anchovies with a half hitch works too, ever try the bait casting reel with the bait clicker, super effective
That youtuber is always catching big ones lol he’s a beast forsure.
You need to step it up on bait. Blood worm and pile worm will boost your bites. Preferably blood worm. Sardines don’t work to well from my experience.
I watched the same video bro. I went out the same day and my buddy got a nice 20 inch striper. Went back out Saturday and didn’t get not one bite.
I was about to follow u when u pull out that niner chair.
😂
I’m not even a football fan
Since when can u use 2 poles on the river legally?

@@andrewshaw5937 actually it was I live up north on the sac in Redding and last time I checked 2 rod stamp is only good on lakes!

Been watching your videos. Love to get you on some fish bro!
Don’t trip as soon as the water clears up you’ll bang’em left and right!👍🏾

I had a bufflehead duck eat my worm earlier this year.... strangest catch so far XD
What do you mean “eat my work”?
@@isaacdeaver03 autocorrect, meant worm. Haven't had ducks eat my "work" yet... Far as I know
😂
Use big baits and allows the stripers to swim off with out feeling any tension
The past weekend I got a 29 inch by the sugar mill
29 inch wow 😮
Where’s the sugar mill?

I bet the bridge was doing a routine preventative maintenance test.
Click bait gets you less views. Just a heads up
The real title wasn’t clickbait so fuck off
