You can actually tame Waldo (Reaper Leviathan) by feeding him a lot of peepers, he will still try to eat you if you get too close but it won't kill you, he will also protect you from other fishies.
You can hold the perimeter defense system (the shock-upgrade for the seamoth) to charge it, which increases the range and (I think) damage when you release it.
