The Hollywood Heritage Museum located just across the street from the Hollywood Bowl on Highland Ave in Hollywood, is known as the birth place of what became Paramount Studios and Hollywood itself as the Motion Picture Capital.
The oldest surviving motion picture studio in Hollywood and it played a crucial roll in the development of the film industry.
Opened in 1985 as The Hollywood Studio Museum. One of the oldest operating film museums, the focuses on the early years of the Industry with exhibits, displays, posters, photographs and other equipment and artifacts.
The Hollywood Heritage Museum presents programs on historical topics and film history with speakers and film screenings events. New Exhibits feature artifacts of early motion picture production, screen stars and costumes. Open most weekends. This is a great stop for anyone interested in movie history.
