I just started learning but am having issues. I've been practicing on glass. Why doesn't my brush follow my strokes. It seems like a car going to fast around a curve and the rear end comes around. Lol. Is it just that glass it really slick or what can I do?
Common problem for beginners! Check these points: 1. Your brush must be Chiseled. 2. Twirl the brush in your fingers making sure not to twist the hairs. 3. Keep the brush Perpendicular to the work surface. 4. Imagine the Ferrule of the brush is a car and the hairs are the trailer. When executing a tight curve the car must take a wider birth than the trailer, so the ferrule must take a wider turn than the hairs in order to drag them around a tight corner. If the hairs are twisting or distorting it means you are either not twirling the brush enough or twirling it to much in relation to the curve, or your brush is not perpendicular enough. Hope that makes sense!
Hey, it could be one of a couple of things. Either your paint is too thin or you are not twirling your brush properly. Also could be that your brush isnt perpendicular enough to the glass. Hope that helps, and sorry I only just saw your comment! Cheers!!

Very nice! Except, the only thing I would've done is made the "h" a little wider....consistent with the "u" on brush. Otherwise, great flow!
Yes you're dead right, I never liked the h on this :-)
John King Letter Art...I forgot to say, I hope you didn't take that as criticism..... I didn't mean for it to sound lie I was.
Oh no problems, I totally agree, the narrow h always bothered me on this. You are totally correct! :-)
