ViA went from “Mega Man X OC” to Total “Husbando” status, Character development at its finest.
My theory is that, even if the story wraps up completely, the game won't be going into End-Of-Service mode until all potential special characters (the ones that don't make up stage bosses, excluding Dragoon) are exhausted...or sales drastically drop.
I'm basing this theory off of Gundam Breaker Mobile's current status. The seemingly final chapter of the story mode has long since wrapped up, but the game continues to release new builds.
In case you forgot, Capcom DID work with Bandai Namco for Gundam Breaker Mobile previously until Bandai updates next version by kicking Capcom off the development team and went ahead with the new version solo, which is the version you're talking about, going on the SAME pathway as their own horrible Mobile Game for China Market: Gundam Supreme Battle.
Also, X DiVE's lifespan could end up getting further gutted next month leaving only their Asia 3rd Anniversary & 2nd IP Collab, given that their Mobile Games blueprint going forward would be more collaborative & outsourced than in-house, 3 upcoming Mobile Games by Capcom are going to be made this way: Unannounced Monster Hunter Mobage by Tencent's TiMi Studios, "Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat" Global Distribution Edition developed & distributed by Asia Version Developer (& Megaman X DiVE (Global Servers) Distributor) NebulaJoy and lastly just in, "Street Fighter: DUEL" Mobile GACHA RPG developed by Topjoy, and distributed in US and EU regions by CrunchyRoll Games and planned for release in Feb 2023.
ViA Square sounds a tad lame. ViA Complete, ViA Proof or ViA Q.E.D. sounds much better by being more accurate and in line with the math-related naming sense for the X series. Also, this final form looks like Awakened Zero fused with Dynamo and threw away the helmet.
Good to know we have the DLC chips in the collection.

I guess some people are going to have to make sure to archive the episodes before they go off-line
There's a Life Sword PA in Battle Network 2? I swear I remember that being a thing on 3 and onwards, but then again, I've only played 2 once in my entire life so I might have forgotten.
BN2 actually has 3 versions of Life Sword. You can use the regular one for ver. 1, elemental swords for ver. 2, and the blade swords for ver. 3
BN1 is the one that doesn't have it.
It has a PA that's the same as Life Sword, but it turns into B-sword, which is just 2 of each swords

I watched the dubbed anime when it first dropped many moons ago. I watched bits and pieces of the anime while I was in Japan. I was hoping to find the rest of the episodes with subtitles.
Is it just me, or does ViA■ seem more like a StarForce FM-Alien (like Omega X-is) possessed Character based on Zero's Model, than a MMX-based Zero×Bass Fusion?
The original purple Energy-Face and the Energy Projections coming out around him looks very similar to X-is, and even the Wings he gains has the same resemblance!

PvP died to me a long time ago when I first played this game, now that we have nonsense characters like True ViA bringing "Balance" to X DiVE. At this point, they need to make the quest for PvP requires to play with friends or go into the lobby and let other players destroy you.

I want Cross Fusion to stay far away from the Battle Network games. That can be Star Force's thing, and I like them both existing in two separate worlds.
To be honest, the anime isn't even canon to the games in the first place.
