I have struggled to find an authentic bisibelabath recipe all these yrs . Every other recipe ended up tasting like a variant of sambhar rice. Tasty but never the iconic original Udipi bisibelabath. Even in restaurants the stuff that passes for bisibelabath is actually just a tastier sambhar rice. And now after yrs of disappointment I have Finally found it . For the first time ever my bisibelabath came out tasting very similar to the one I had tasted many yrs ago in Mysore at a small Udupi hotel. I had give up any hope that I would be able to revisit that taste ever again bcos I have never since had a bisibelabath like that. That was simply mind blowing. Truly a dish fit for kings and testimony to how rich our original cuisine was. Before then I had always considered bisibelabath a bit of hype but my God that changed my opinion. And now finally this recipe comes closest to delivering that taste. Of course that bisibelabath I had yrs ago was something else altogether. I don’t think I can ever come across that ever again. But this was the next best thing by far. Thanks Chef . Much obliged.

Chef sir, I am from Udupi. Whenever we visit a hotel to eat Idli, or wada (before lockdown) the sambar served is having a unique taste which we cannot create in house. I learnt that they do it without toordal. Please share this hotel sambar recipe and its making. Thank you.
This has become super popular in our house now sir! Thank you! I make bisibelebath very regularly. As a bachelor, once I have the powder, it's quick, nutritious and filling. I usually add some chopped veggies like carrots and beans along with rice and dal, so it becomes a complete meal.
Your dedication towards cooking and ur efforts to retain the traditional recipes is commendable .... if not we would start losing all the original recipes amidst the fusion in everything .. thank you for efforts !
I love the way you explain. I strictly followed your recipe every step and made the bisibelabath and it came out extremely well. Credit goes to you. Thanks once again.
