From my perspective, of all the talent show winners, few have gone on to be as successful as Grace. Obviously, Kelly Clarkson and Christina Aguilera (and others) are winners who went on to be mega stars, but Grace Continues on. While not a mega star she is still doing well professionally. She continues to release original songs and continues to develop her acting career. It has surprised me how many of her songs I truly like and add to my streaming collection all these years later. Quite impressive.

Just my opinion, but I think a lot of people are overlooking the influence of Simon Cowell. Every contestant, and especially the winner, are contractually obligated to give Cowell the first right of refusal on record contracts. Cowell has no interest in developing young talent and strictly wants to take advantage of their popularity at that moment. Many under his "mentoring" have alluded to this. It would not be surprising if his influence was more about pushing Grace into the mainstream now, then growing as a songwriter and singer.
She has only had positive things to say about her experience working with him even after they went their separate ways in 2020. She recently parted ways with Columbia Records presumably over creative differences. She just released a new song under her new label, and it looks like she owns the recording, so all good things for her. She seems to be doing well and has a lot planned for the next year.
I don't think it's fair to say people simply didn't want her to grow up or change. I just didn't connect with her "I hate everyone and am pissed off at the world" vibe that she developed. To be fair I have not listened to her music in a few years so maybe I should give her another listen.

Sorry but I have to call it a hogwash. She didn’t achieve nothing except losing her fans because hour long talks about nothing on YT. A few EPs and a few singles which none could bring her success because she didn’t concentrate on her God given talent songwriting. Her 6ft. 1 inch tall statuesque body is that of a supermodel, setting her apart from other female singers . She has class, and elegance the way she dresses, and expresses herself, and she has no desire to be "Another Taylor Swift."

In other words there are many things she can do and be one of the greatest to ever do it. Comparing Taylor to Grace is not fare to Taylor. I like Taylor, she is a good song writer, her singing is good. The fame level that Taylor is at, or anyone else , has nothing to do with artistry. That part of the music world has to do with what the kids are listening to these days, "what's in style". There is always someone at that top level of fame right now it's Taylor "Taylor knows how to write music that fits what is currently in style, it's awesome. Artists of the rarest kind have more love for creating than fame. Grace has and always will be bringing music that's a "new kind of different " whether the sound is in style or not.

Kind of ironic that you're making these assumptions about her for an image she created for the music video for her song "Don't Assume What You Don't Know." She never caved in to anyone else's expectations and her former label dropped her. Now she's with a new label that seems to be fully on board with her plans. She's doing great.
