Synopsis: After a falling out with his mentor, Dick abandons Gotham and everyone in it. Emerging in the City of Bludhaven years later, Dick takes on the guise of "Nightwing” easily defeating the petty criminals who infest it. But he soon realizes he may have bitten off more than he can chew when a mysterious and dangerous assassin only known as ‘Deathstroke, begins targeting Bludhaven citizens. Can he defend his new home and the lives of it's inhabitants from the most dangerous foe he’s ever faced!? Only time will tell in this epic 5 part mini-series!

So Barbara, trained as Batgirl and can still suit up in this series, just opens the door after hearing the doorbell on the night that she knows the Joker is being chased by Batman and Robin? She doesn't even try to see who it is? Yeah, that doesn't really add up.

Jon Gable I know she didn't die in this series, I didn't want to reveal it for others who haven't seen the rest. My point still stands though.
My question was where did she get killed, because I didn't want to reveal that she was paralyzed, but that's all gone now. I read it and I never agreed with how that went down. I think she's far too talented a fighter for that to have happened to her. That's why I say it doesn't add up.
Well she thought it was dick coming home, she opened the door with no tools and a gun pointed at her but to out of reach to counter, no matter how skilled a fighter there was nothing she could do. Like when batman is knocked out and he wakes up captured, no matter how skilled they could have killed him while he was unconcious.

Very impressive! You really surprised me with this one.
First off,the visual effects are even better then they were in episode 1,the script feels better in here. The cinemetagrophy is pretty impressive,the city looks wonderful the characters are well written and everyone is written differently. Barbara was fine in this one,she gave her role in what she had and pulled it off... The music is great a bit quite, but I would listen to the music if there was a soundtrack for it I really enjoyed this one. 8.5/10

This was great! I'll be honest, I know absolutely nothing about this origin story. But just from being a big fan of Batman, these are fantastic. For the most part, the acting was good. The guy who played Bruce/Batman could have shown a little emotion. But that's my only complaint. Psyched for the next one!!

Usually he showed emotion around deaths that impacted his life, like when Jason died and his parents. But really, he likes to save the tears for the other members of the JLA and his proteges lol. =
I'm going to jump on on your "Batman doesn't show emotion" discussion here. I can't remember what Batman comic it was, or what issue. But once his bodyguard (yes, Bruce Wayne was appointed a bodyguard at one point in time, and she found out his was Batman) gave him a Christmas present. They didn't show what it was, they left that up to the readers imaginations. But Bruce Wayne's face lit up like the Fourth of July. I have quite literally never seen him smile like that before, or since other than the occasional smirk.
Let me reiterate my earlier statement. Batman does show emotion but only two different ones. The main emotion that he often displays is anger. The second is happiness but this display of emotion is extremely rare for the dark knight. This can only be seen when something happens that has to do with his parents. For example in the flashpoint paradox when he receives a hand written letter from his dad. He had tears running down his eyes. The gift that he received while being a bodyguard probably had something to do with his parents. Other than those two times, he has only ever displayed anger. Bruce Wayne may smile but Batman doesn't for they are not the same person. Bruce Wayne is how he wants the world to see him while Batman is the real him

Origins is a great episode, awesome to see just what happened. Awesome work from all who are involved in creating this great series. So hope to see more, great episodes & I've always been a big fan of Batgirl/Oracle so it's great to see more of her.
Well done to you folks that have obviously worked so hard and long at this. Dick Grayson, Nightwing, is my favorite comic book hero. You've done a fine job of capturing his essence here. Obviously, again, this was a labor of love for you. I just watched the first two parts. I really like the understated yet gruesome scene of Barbara being shot by Joker. No dialog, no sound effects, yet you cut right to the heart of an unspeakable deed. I can't wait to see the rest of the show but don't want to blow through it in just one night. Have to stretch it out. I don't see a big screen movie for Nightwing any time soon but I'm very much enjoying all you've done with this. Best wishes for continued success. I'm looking for more big things from you! Thank you.

My only complaint is the robin outfit... sorry, but compared to the Nightwing outfit it looks bad, great series though, and the quality of the outfit is understandable due to the budget, or that's what I would like to think :P, anyway, keep on going, great show
Well, to be fair, the Robin uniform is (I would think) going to see way less screen-time than the Nightwing uniform.

I liked this episode even better than the first, which was exciting, but this one had more of a build up and pay- off.
I still can't help laughing at the ninja cater-waiters from the first, though. That little touch of humor helped it rise above just a generic action scene

Great job Guys! Stumble upon this series at work and needless to say i watching not working. The episode was important to those like myself who didn't know who nightwing was and was kinda confused by the opening credits at 1st. But this episode was need, because it showed us where this disconnect happen between Batman and Robin which led us to Nightwing. Keep up the Excellent work.
Only issue I have is that Batman's voice isn't very gruff

Batmans voice isnt that gruff, the only reason folk believe it is, is because of Christian Bale's hilariously bad "Bat voice"

People are down on the acting, the message is clear at the start. 'This is a fan made series made by fans for fan's' the acting is that of Hollywood. But if you need high quality actors to enjoy a character like this series is presenting then why would you attempt to watch fan made series. Anyway the acting in this isn't bad at all, I've seen worse acting from stars. This is a fan made series and people need to understand that, hence all of the characters being portrayed. I think this this is an excellent achievement and people need to be more open to lower budget productions.
The dialog is kinda cheesy and cliché, and the story telling is too linear but if those things were to improve this would be a 10/10
