But from the tragedy, Robin was born.
It was but not to this extent. We see Dick lose his parents, but we didn't spend half the episode getting to know them and see what great people they were. That actually gave the episode more punch if you ask me.

One of the many reasons I love this underrated show. It really went into and showed Dick's past and perfectly made an episode of him becoming Batman's sidekick and adopted son. I was really touched from how great of a person Bruce showed himself to be by paying for his parents funeral and then adopting him and even more by him trying to find the murderer of Robin's parents. The relationship that Dick had with his parents makes me want to cry. It was so heartbreaking when he said he misses his parents! And Alfred said his parents were everything that boy had. And for Batman to take him in and raise as his own just shows how good of man Bruce Wayne is. He can totally relate to Richard Grayson. The parents that killed Bruce’s parents were never brought to Justice so he doesn’t want the same thing to happen to Robin. So he did something about it. And Zucco got brought to Justice.
