A three part short film following a young Bruce Wayne as he struggles with a corrupt justice department & faces off against a maniacal new menace hell bent on taking over Gotham.
Everyone is talking about Anthony's Joker, but let's just take a moment to acknowledge that Gregor Adair is an amazing Gordon!
Benjamin Meijer just saw this now Ben, thank you so much!
Sincerely,
Gregg Adair
To me the only really good one here was Gordon
Benjamin Meijer Greg Adair just left my table here in a McDonald's, just had a lovely conversation with him. He's an awesome guy
Yup, Greg Adaire ROCKS this role!!
I know right hes a great jim gordan
The appreciation of the Joker in this series was the fact that it wasn't based on impersonating a pre-defined Joker. I have seen many trying to recreate Mark Hamills Laugh or pull of the sinister-like guttural language of Ledgers Joker. However often I find its impersonating somebody else's character and not the character itself.
I really enjoy how Anthonys portrayal isn't forced but rather allowing himself to be the character. There's many familiar characteristics but the ease in allowing himself to personify the Joker with his own moments, very expressive facial expression and attitude I find to be quite entertaining.
Often I find people being more of a caricature of the Joker rather than the character himself.
Joker being a favored character of mine as well as having more screen time was very enjoyable.
-----
Accepting that, I am really enjoying the acting of the others as well! When you have great supporting characters, it really does emphasize and create the atmosphere of the shots which are working well! Gordon does seem a little sterile at times, but 'hard boiled' is harder to pull off than many personas, so he's doing well enough.
I am so looking forward to seeing what you guys pull off. It will only get better, especially after having audiences offer their opinions and showing their appreciation and love for it! ^___^
I'd have to disagree with you. I've watched all three of these and was greatly disappointed by the lack of creativity in creating a unique, and definitive voice/laugh for the joker. It didn't need to be an impression, but if you look at all the great actors who have had a jab at the character, they all brought something unforgettable. Not once did they just use their normal voice or laugh, they morphed it into the character, Anthony did not and thus for the first time on film he created a joker who not only sounded NOT like a joker but the laughs were not up to par AT ALL. I showed this to many people who do not know Anthony(which is important because harleys joker fans, from the looks of it, have been totally uncritical about his acting) and they were confused as to why he did not morph into the character. It just looked like a guy dressed as the joker and that's as far as it goes. And it bugged me that he called out Alyssa for not being in the film because "she's not an actor", well from the looks of it neither was he or many others in the film. You'd be surprised what freshmen actors can bring into a performance as long as they have the determination and right mindset.
I will however give credit to where credit is due and tip my hat to the actor who portrayed commissioner loeb. He, in my opinion was the most convincing performance of the films. The cinematography was fantastic, and the camera shots were above the standard of a fan film.
I know this will seem like a rude comment to many uncritical eyes, but it had to be said, since none else critical of batman or joker has said anything about this subject truthfully. This in no way was a perfect film like many here are claiming. It did have potential, and the right resources, but if they learn from their mistakes then I can see a sequel worth the promotion and marketing this one received. I truly wanted this series to be great and prove that fan films were not just a bunch of cheesy actors with expensive cameras, but able to convince the viewers and hardcore fans of its storyline and compelling character design.
Nicholas Cortez I wouldn't say its rude at all. You've expressed yourself quite well and made fair remarks without trolling or anything. This is the first time I've seen Anthony do anything and as far as fan films go, I did enjoy the Joker Blogs but.... I lost interest i guess. Still a good portrayal of him. Bat in the Sun was alright as well, but the voice did seem, 'pushed'.
With Anthonys Joker, the style he expressed was something I enjoyed. I mean, the Joker can be very outrageous in his own ways, but in comparing to most fan films I have seen, to pull off the over-the-top Joker requires something else. I really dug the 'Grayson' trailer Joker (from most of his scenes). However accepting that, the thing with Anthony's Joker appears to be one that has potential to grow. I mean for now, I see him as a Joker developing his status as he is yet to really engage with who Batman is and enjoy entirely the reputation and roles he plays.
Although I am unsure who Alyssa is, this series isn't as cheesy as other series can be. I'm not saying its the greatest fan film series, but it has strayed away from what I see as hardcore fans trying hard but getting lost in 'being' the character rather than trying to show the character. Anthony seems confident and expresses himself quite well, which has been quite refreshing for me among fan films lately.
Yeah there has been quite a few big buck fan films with joker in them, bat in the sun comes first to mind, but even then the filmography in this stands high above what I have seen anywhere else. As much as I liked patient j, I felt the actor also had some difficulties with maintaining a voice/laugh. I guess it shows how important a role such as the joker is, to only have been passed down by strong actors in the industry. I think they said this was a one time deal so I don't know if Anthony will be honing down joker for future chronicles. It does take a lot of knowledge of the character to pull it off, something I don't think any fan films have gotten just right. Hopefully a fan film joker will arise one day to be at par both vocally and characteristically. I will say that even tho Anthony did not perform at a level I thought he would, he was confident though out. He owned up to his performance despite his lacking qualities as the joker. His expressions are quite photo shoot worthy, if only his voice had matched up to that level. I believe Michael Emerson had said while being interviewed for his role as joker in TDReturns, that he used his natural voice as a base and then just made it cruel and unlikeable sounding. Just a simple change in his voice created a unique sounding joker, maybe not as preferable as Hamills but unique and credible nonetheless. :)
Oh and Nic, the joker in this is fantastic! www.dailymotion.com/video/x9fnir_batman-ashes-to-ashes-hd_creation
Yeah, but are we getting his Harley Quinn though?
The "Oooooh shit" killed me. This is the best webserie I've seen in a hell of a long time! Please don't stop!
Oh definitely the best. Usually fan-films (which I've been watching a lot of lately) are only one part under 20 minutes and ending on a cliffhanger or something like that. This was a bit of fresh air and I appreciated the work put in.
Wow. Anthony's Joker is quite different..and really felt it come alive in this last part (and half way through part 2). It's difficult for us not to compare any new Joker to Mark Hamil's or Ledgers...or the comics (e.g., hiding his negative emotions, high pitch sing song voice)...and so yes Anthony's joker is quite different. But I am glad for that. Imitation is easy, creation a new dimension for arguably the most complex comic villain is another level of difficulty and creativity.
I know this was 4 years ago, but what about Jack Nicholson, Anthony reminds me of a mix between Jack and ledger, more Jack though.
Hats off to the Joker and the writers in this one! I like the humanity of the Joker as a deranged, somewhat narcissistic comedian who seems distantly calculative (the detective work and the setting Gordon and Dent to tear down)
Plus that smile and overall appearance is the living embodiment of the Joker
"My dear delusional dark knight" Aaay, I see what you did there.
...thus far, The Batman Chronicles is the best fan made series I've ever seen.
Bat In The Sun is good, don't get me wrong, but their more recent batman videos have been batman facing people he would never face.
It's illogical, but very well shot.
The Batman Chronicles has taken batman back to basics, and has done one hell of a job in doing so.
Everything about the series is just *muah* perfection.
Very excited for what's about to come.
Mmm, maybe nothing with the joker will be coming, but they had a Harvey Dent cameo at the end.
So there could be more with him.
Just remaining hopeful :)
If you're talking about the "best fan movie you've ever seen" then, you must consider Bat in the Sun past work. Patient J and City of Scars are clearly better than this. Batman/Bruce does'nt talk so much and that's preferable. And Paul Molnar was also great doing the Joker.
Saying "Chronicles is better than BITS" because of the shorts they're doing right now is not doing justice to what they've accomplished.
i agree and a other one is batman dark knight returns by Wyatt weed
@@BatPierrot Honestly in terms of overall presentation and quality, this has a lot of aspects better to City of Scars.
However, yeah, the story and writing for City of Scars was really good. And so was that Batman.
@@ronanthesuperginger And I'm not sure how I feel about that one. It's got a lot of good stuff, but some of it kinda looks like some dude in a Batsuit running around. I felt like some of the Batman scenes could have been done better in that one.
Damn, I felt like if I was watching the golden age versions of them in modern day. Props to you guys
OMG I can't believe that this was may 7 YEARS AGO. It ended like you were going to make more...so I am really sad that you never did. This is a true work of art and I feel you could make so much more with this story. I don't know if you guys will even check up on this channel anymore but if you guys even will see this, if you do please actually considering making more. Either way this is a work of art thank you for sharing it with the world 😊
Loved the Easter egg of Harvey and the "oooh shit" made my day
I just love Anthony as the Joker! Awesome!!
Best resemblance to the Comic-Book joker I've seen....or is it BAS Joker ? Was very pleased to see him.....felt very comfortable with that presentation.
As it always is in Batman movies, it's the villain that counts. And this was amazing performance by Anthony Misiano. Everything was perfect for this little fan project, and I think it's better than anything I've seen in the real movies. Keep it tight, guys.
These are probably the best fan versions of Batman and Joker I've ever seen, alongside the "Bat in the Sun" productions.
Gordon is also nailed here.
Well done. I keep watching these short movies over and over again.
Jokers Best Line: Ohhhhhhhhhh Shit
please make a joker and harley quinn short? harley has forever been left out of the big screen films, she deserves some time!
One thing I saw is the sweat on Batman, you can truly see he is struggling to fight all these Gang Members and The Joker.
Anthony's Joker I think is the closest we'll get to Geoff Goldblum taking on the role. The way he says "Oh shit." Just gave me massive Jurassic Park flashbacks.
Andrew Ford yup
Batsweater and Batchin. Epic.
Can I just say....that 'Ooh....shit.' was just....perfect? :D
"Ohhhhhhhhhhhh shit."
Ok, that made me crack up! 😂
Yes!! This was amazing, awesome acting! You guys did a very very VERY good job, specially Anthony Misiano. I really hope you guys do another film with Two Face. :)
My favourite part: "ooooohhhh shit." probably the most amazing thing I've seen this month. That just made my day!
I hate that Gordon went fist fight mode. He wouldn't have put his gun down. He's a cop.
I was thinking the same thing.
Aaron Roetcisoender ok... But then I wouldn't have had a cool fight scene..😁
Gregory Adair that's a fair point.
Gordon is also ex military, so he's a badass
Batman... literally just said, "No guns!"
I hope in the future one day, you guys will decide to make a Batman Chronicles 2 continuation if possible
I had a lot of fun filming this! It's amazing!
Joker is one of my favourite characters from the beginning to the recent batman films. Anthony has paid the joker in this fan short film really well. He pays the joker very well and unquie from all the other jokers. Good job Anthony!!!!! Love to see more of your version of joker.
Very, Very well done!
Dude looks great in the cowl. And the Batsuit's awesome, too. None of that bullshit armor everybody else does.
Kudos to the Keaton-like cowl! Batman NEEDS THE LONG EARS!!!
And Gordon was excellent! Looking forward to more. Again, great job!
Please tell me this isn't over... You have to do MORE!!!! Pwwease? :(
Sadly this trilogy is over.... but by the way they involved Harvey Dent, there might be a new Trilogy arising soon :)
I know, but it's hard to accept it. Hopefully they do decide to make more though.
Chris Tigue Hopefully! :)

So no its not over
@@FearfulHeroine that aged poorly
This is one of the slickest fan productions I've ever seen. In fact, it's so good, it's easy to forget it's fan made, (I think maybe that's why there are a few people feeling the need to nit pick actually lol).
Bravo to all of you!!!
Anthony Misiano is brilliant.
Can't wait to see more from you all.
The Batman Chronicles is an outstanding fan film series. Based on "Batman Franchise" from
"DC Comics".
Excellently directed by Joseph Petruccio and excellently written by Mike Lupia.
Daniel Petruccio excellently played the role of Batman with Anthony Misanio and Gregory Adair.
I'm a beloved fan of Batman, I love this fan film series.
These are AMAZING!! Please bring back Anthony Misiano to be Joker again!! FABULOUS JOB
"Hey, you got any Jokers?" Hahahahaha!
Nice work guys!
DEAR GOD PLEASE MORE
Missianos portrayal is bone chilling and the most realistic take on the joker
That’s the type of Joker that the world needs on the big screen! So much alike the comic Joker, it’s amazing ♥️ and the plot was great too, my favorite fan made ever 👌🏻
"Ooooooooooh shit." Love this moment ! ;D
I don't know where this guy that plays the role of the Joker is or comes from. But he has it to a T and is either a trained actor or God given. Awesome!!!
Probably the second, up to that point he was just known as "the best Joker cosplayer"
I live how in the thumbnail the Joker looks exactly like The Man Who Laugh
Stunning work - the acting, the script, everything, it comes together brilliantly.
You're right Batman Chronicles takes Batman back to the gritty basics. I just want to say again, I've seen other Batman fan made shorts, but this one, has something special. It works on so many levels. They picked the right people for the parts, and they just did a really good job with it. It'd be awesome to see more of this show. Its really cool how they are kinda doing a early years almost around Batman year one time, where Gordon is still a Lt, or Captain, Bruce is still learning his way around, the cops still want to hunt him, and Gordon is only ally outside of Alfred, as of now.
"Ooohh shit." Fuckin accurate reaction 😂
This was a great series.
Acting wise and settings.
Batman and the Joker's casting was spot on in my opinion.
I heard a resemblance to Jeff Goldblum in Joker's voice.
Enjoy this mini series, looking forward to seeing harvey dent getting involve in part four..
5yrs later no part 4 and no Harvey Dent
I watched through this whole thing and it was AMAZING!! But, what I really wish for, is a soundtrack release ahaha. LOVE that possible Joker Theme in part 2 and I'd love to see some kind of soundtrack for this because it was just amazing. WONDERFUL job, even if this comment IS late to the party.
Favorite line: " Ooooooooohhhhhhh shit"
Soooooo those last five years, UA-cam algorithms thought it was relevant to show me compilations of cats being jerks, but never considered THIS was what I was looking for ? I......why....ugh never mind.......
4:38 = Funniest part i think XD
Ik lol :D
I'm just being honest, that bat suit looks like they bought it from Party City.
I thought it was good, it looks like the Arkham Asylum suit. For a non armored Batman, the outfit looks great imo.
In my head, this and City Of Scars take place in the same canon. Both opposite ends of the spectrum. The birth of the Joker vs the death of the Joker. Anyway, wonderfully done!!!
That shot of the Joker grinning back at Gordon as he's being lead away was fantastic.
Excellent film, one of the best batman fan films I've seen. I realize that Bruce is just starting as batman but the batsuit could use a little work. And this Joker might look the part, but he's not crazy enough. It feels like Riddler cosplaying the Joker.
Batman's voice here is really good. I think that's a really difficult thing to capture for a lot of actors.
you guys do great work... can not wait to see you all with a real budget.. that would be super
That fight scene so had the best elements of the ones in the old 60's show with Adam West. Just without the KER-POWS and such. Loved it!
You must make another series. This was incredible work
Anthony Misiano does such a perfect Joker.
loooove it.
This Joker is amazing one of the best portrayals just behind Mark Hamill and Troy Baker who are my two favorite Joker performances
Man I was hoping a bit more with the Joker but I can tell that more is definitely to come what with Harvey Dent in the picture. That part where Joker is screaming and spit comes out of his mouth man that was intense he was so calm and collective but you see him this point a raving madman and like that part to me seemed like an up and coming actor about to make his debut only to get his lines trampled and his act ruined I just loved it.
Batman batman batman!!! More of the batman!!!
This is a true work of art. Thanks for sharing your love for the Batman with us on UA-cam, and looking forward to seeing more!
It just keeps getting better and better. So good I could cry. :')
I just finished watching the entire series, and I must praise this work. It is absolutely brilliant. Everything about it its just utterly delicious, the writting, the acting, the editing, the producing, the directing, every factor of this series is incredible. The resemblance of the actors is marvelous and the way they all get soo deeply into character is simply mesmerizing. I can only applaud such a refinate piece of art. Wonderful, wonderful piece.
Congratulations.
I love the lines from the Batman Arkham game series like "oh my dear delusional dark knight it has only just begun"
I'm really happy that I saw this series through until the end. The first two episodes left me a little unsure, but I liked this episode. It had a better feeling to it, and it definitely ended this trilogy on a better note. Very nicely done. Congrats to all involved
The jokers laughter is perfect. ..
I love when the Joker goes "Ohhhhh shit." XD Amazing casting
This joker and Batman were my favorite fan versions of these characters
That "Ohhhhhh, shit" though xD
The joker laugh is just awesome :)
Outstanding fellows! From beginning to end. I believe you've all done both your fans and the great characters portrayed justice in a real, meaningful and lasting way. Bravo and once again, well done!
Do one where joker meets Harley..! Anyone else wanna see this..?
i would fuckin die omfg yes pls
5:19 Nice reference to the first Arkham Asylum game. ;)
4:38 The first time Joker knew he fucked up😂😂💯
best one so far. good ending and good cliffhangers too
Woah...this is amazing !
Really good work by all the cast, crew, and folks that made this all possible. Hopefully we can see a sequel in the future.
"Over? My dear delusional dark knight it's only just begun"
I see what you did there
I love this Batman & Gordon was perfect as was the Joker. Excellent all around! Thank you!
Thank you for your kind words! Just saw this tonight as I'm not computer guy I never saw these
Superb acting!
MORE PLEASE MORE! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE MORE! MORE MORE MORE MORE PLEASE PLEASE MORE!!!
I would LOVE to see this as a full length, theatrical movie. I would pay very good money to see it.
FINAL INSTALLMENT??? WTF??? You were doing so damn good, really liked the Joker in this one, please don't tell me this is going to be all there is, was kinda hoping to see the cutie behind the desk turn out to be Barbara, and later in the Bat suit! AHHH....tell me something!
The actor who plays Jim Gordon is great.
"you see what you want"... best part ever, I love it!!
Brilliant and that doesn't cover how much this deserves I randomly found it and its one of the best characterisations of both batman and the joker I've ever seen. I will highly recommend this to people.
TBC production team really delivered for Part III. Well done all, now let's raise some money for the next three installments!
F'ing loved the absolutely deadpan "What the hell is he doing here" bit.
Really well done! Solid casting.
I love how your 'Joker' made it his own. As much as I'm a fan of Heath's interpretation, I really enjoyed this one, too. And your Bruce/Batman was fantastic.
The one that tops them all, however short his scene was, is your Alfred. Finally someone gave us the one from the comics. It was like he stepped right off the page.
The script was tight. It was a great story.
Direction and cinematography was stellar.
All in all... If you were to continue this, it would get a big following
Sweet!! Too bad this series is over. Too bad there was not a Dent/2-Face sequel. I know its been over 2 years since this last part was posted, but I hope the decision to do another is made. Thanks for a enjoyable video. :)
Oh my god suuuuch a great Joker! Really brings original Joker to life! Not sure about him swearing but anyway such a good series, thank you so much for making it. I'm surprised I haven't seen that actor more, I've only seen his Joker Cosplay, he deserves a role in Hollywood for that performance!
That batarang looks amazing!
The music box sound through all three parts is a really nice touch. Gives you that unique and kinda scary sensation this whole story has and I absolutely loved every last bit of it!!
Fantastic job again! But... but... how can it be the end!?! Oh, and as to the "Joker doesn't cuss": sure he does. Didn't you just hear him? This isn't the comic book character, nor the one from Batman the Animated Series, Adam West, or one of the movie Jokers. This is a combination of all of them, a good chunk of originality (and panache), delivered by the talented Mr. Misiano. Also would like to say that Mr. Petruccio's Batman looked badass, but he seemed younger and more vulnerable as Wayne.
Please upload more soon!!!!! I love this. Especially the joker!
That was LEGENDARY! Make more! :) It will be LEGENDARY!
Thoroughly enjoyed this.
Such a fantastic performance from all involved! Congrats you guys! :D
Please tell me there's going to be more Batman, you set it up so there's a sequel!
It's sad they don't makes another :""c still love this channel and his amazing videos
