After six years of trying to get this pc engine CD rom game to work, I finally got it working on emulation and play it my first time ever. I know the pc engine is not great but it has some good cutscenes doe :)
It's strange because in strider 1 we cannot fight the soldier with his tank and the bug soldier. Otherwise it's a funny game i change the dialog for the fun but some characters is ugly (Grandmaster Meio is like a old pervert with a cloak and want Hiryu for his pleasure) And the Captain hook with his whip ????????? crazy weirdo very good job
Does anyone know what the bosses say before battle? If not all, atleast what the tank guy, pirate captain and the warning before the Balrog's core are saying, those are the ones I was always intrigued about. Thanks in advance!
Oh... so, Mass Cloud from the 2014 reboot is a remix of this version's Siberia theme... Because I honestly don't remember it (Mass Cloud) from the arcade original
There were supposed to be *2* extra stages, and unfortunately the stage that was supposed to be set in a South American base in which the Third Moon launches into orbit did not make it into the released product, leaving only the Desert encampment playable

Except for the scene cuts between levels, the game looks better on the genesis than the PC. And the sound when he uses the sword is annoying as well. But the soundtrack is better on the PC though.

当時、美麗アニメーションとキャラクターが喋るビジュアルシーンは、とても衝撃的でした。
FC・SFC・MD（後にメガCD発売）では味わえない感動と興奮です。

Well, cutscenes apart, the Mega Drive version seems actually somewhat superior.
The evaluation of the Mega Drive version is high in Japan.
Was also one of my favorite games ever.

望んでいたのは、ビジュアルが綺麗なメガドライブ版のアッパー版だったんだよ
確かにビジュアルシーンは綺麗だけどさ、、と思う
ハドソンが移植すれば良かったのに、、、
ビジュアルシーンを入れるならもっとボイスやムービーをたっぷり入れてほしかった。
移植だとPS1のストライダー飛竜1&2がベストかな。
チラツキが多くて、このゲームはPCエンジンで出すのは間違いなんじゃないかって感じだけど、
ビジュアルシーンや音楽が手が込んでいて、見ていて楽しいモノがありますね。
そして、「貴様らにそんな玩具は必要ない」の塩沢さんの声がかわいく聞こえちゃいました。
「空中戦艦バルログ」という単語が出てきて、
アニメのストリートファイターIIのバルログを演じているのが塩沢さんで、
面白い偶然のつながりだ！

チラつき多いのとロードが長いのが難点だけどPCエンジンお得意のビジュアルシーンはゲームを盛り上げてくれます。

ストII V、ストII ムービーのバルログ役は、塩沢さんでしたね。
ストII ムービーのバルログ対チュンリー戦は、凄く良かった（色んな意味で）
アーケードのビデオ見せればもっとそれに似せるようにしたかも。アーケードの声はなかなか良い。飛竜の前・ロストワールドだと声が棒読みでクソっぽかったのを逆に利用しギャグっぽく思わせるデモでした。

今更返信するのは気が引けるのですがPCエンジン版のロストワールドは声優と棒読みが選択出来ますが何故か棒読みでないと落ち着かない。

PCエンジン版は、ビジュアルシーンと追加ステージを入れたアレンジ移植ですね。
ちらつきが激しくて敵や敵弾が見えなくてダメージ食らう事が結構ありました。
あと飛竜の声優は、塩沢さんなのでもっと喋って欲しかった(´;ω;`)

BGMにバグがあるのが難点だがアーケード版が一番だな。

もう少し耐久力上げて、見せ場を作ってあげても良かったかも…

アーケード版なら戦わないで無視して進む事も出来ます。
Zetuei Retro Games ストロバヤに限らずボス弱すぎです、多少手こずるのが重力制御装置とラゴウメカニックくらい。グランドマスターも瞬殺ですし…

Forget about overrated mega trash genesis! Tubografx 16 CD Engine is serious superb! Excellent pc game like Sharp X68000 port too.
Of course I like the PC engine version.
