DaVinci Resolve videos for Mac and iPad? Yes please. Steve, this is a brilliant way to set up projects. Editing with Proxies is easier on our systems. I'm excited to try this workflow and thank you sir.
Hi Steve, thanks for this workflow description. Would you mind describe the entire cam rig set up in more detail showed in this clip? Looks very interesting.
Awesome Steve. While I still use Final Cut Pro, I'm using Resolve as well so yes, more tutorials on Resolve, Fusion, Fairlight, etc. Also I hope Mark creates some plus in's for Resolve - like ya do for FCP. I'm also using the Camera app to shoot video. Love it so this video was perfect!!!
Very, very interesting, Steve. The only question I have is, given you upload proxies to the cloud, what is the larger-scale advantage of working with proxies? Less CPU overhead in the editing phase? Thanks for making this video!
This is really interesting! However, I don't think this works on the free tier because you can't make project libraries. The storage is there and I can upload from the iPhone app - but to access it in Resolve, you have to be able to create a project, which requires at least the $5/month subscription.
Frustrating! I just discovered this too. I don't understand the purpose of a free 2GB of storage if you can not use it in Resolve! Sure, it's enough to tease us to buy more if we like it but restricted so we can't test the capabilities.
Well, you can manually download from the storage your editing system. Being able to test and demo the functionality Steve is demonstrating would make it an easier sell for my corporate clients.
Is there a way to adjust the proxy resolution and bitrate? Can't seem to find the proxy record settings anywhere! Am I stuck with what BM says is the proper proxy settings? Seems like obvious need and I refuse to believe BM overlooked this control.
There are no controls - BM is most likely predetermining the setting to give the best balance of upload speed vs quality - if you need that level of control then just use the black magic proxy generator app - where you can choose between 4 proxy settings

Saving upload time, and quota, plus a fast workflow on any machine with hardware decoders.
Very helpful... Thank you.
Nice one Steve!
Thanks Mike!

I'd really like to find a similar option with our Ronin 4D. This is amazing!
thank you
very helpful! but is there any idea for "media offline"? I think I did everything as you said in this video. still "media offline" shows up..
it means that Resolve can't locate your proxies.
