Nice video but you go to quick and don’t actually show it step by step . I started to make this but i follow videos rather than patterns and would like step by step instructions. I decided to go with a different video in the end to make it as I did not find this useful really
How would you modify for 3 weight yarn
You would have to figure out how many stitches would give you the same circumference to make sure it would be big enough for a little hand to fit. All yarns are different so I'm not sure how many sts it would be.

On your written pattern it say 3 1/2 inches for newborn but the video is saying 3 inches
