I can't believe that we are getting another black metal record based upon the Terror/Erebus expedition - polarexplorer black metal arise!
It's a big coincidence that two bands(at least) released an album on this topic at once.
Yes, we were honestly shocked when Antrisch release appeared. But on the other hand, we would have been making this album another 666 years longer, and then all bands in the world would have released albums about Franklin’s expedition)

Considering the topic, very darn close to Antrisch's "Expedition II", which in my humble opinion maybe transmits a little bit more the spine-chilling cold vibes ice is supposed to give...
But to me Antrisch's album is so far the best BM masterwork of 2023, so...

Totally agree. Expedition II is the best album I´ve heard in a very long time. The theme, atmosphere and production is so fucking good. And the intro releases insane amounts of adrenaline, it´s ridiculous XD
This is definitely the best thing I've heard in a very long time. Cool dynamics and variety, incredibly clean performance and amazingly brutal sound! And the idea with two stylistically different chapters is generally a cool innovation. Thanks Def/Light and BMP! 💥💥💥💥💥🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

On the second note: far mediocre (good) albums that are pretty much all the same ( not saying bad) get some undeserved praise like it's '93 not '23! So I just can't understand many people.
On this channel alone are people (regular) and every album in their comments are awesome, they are posers, their life is one listen and move to the next one. They don't care about sticking to what is good for the years to come. I understand it's a Lot of good music out there, but prefer to listen something special often and I know I will always miss some great stuff!

Fortunately, today all the tools are available for this. On the other hand, I agree that it is not the sound that makes a song legendary, but the song can make the sound legendary. But, as you correctly noted, no matter how hard anyone tries, it is impossible to please everyone. But we don’t set such a goal 🤝
