Completely agree with everything you said. Not only has trading the same 2 or 3 instruments helped a ton with intuition, but it is also the best way to be able to identify mistakes. If you trade too many things then you never get enough reps in to know if it was just luck or something you messed up upon entry, sizing and exit.
Charts do indeed have a human personality. They are the result of the combined psychology of all the traders in that chart. That combined psychology is, in effect, an average composite of everyone who contributed to it by trading it. For anyone able to understand that your analogy of a marriage or other intimate relationship is a perfect representation. Well done. 👍
I spent a few years programming algo's for trading, came up with literally thousands of ideas and programmed a good 500+ of them. At some point I realized pretty much what you said, it's basically all the quants, bots, whales, and then even the retail traders (all with vastly different weights in the final sum of money going in) that make up how a chart works. With this knowledge, I almost programmed something truly amazing. The problem I ran into though is that many of them come and go. So the hard part was figuring out how far to look back for optimum pattern recognition. Unfortunately this is something I simply could not obtain data for. It's hard to say how long a whale plays around with any given instrument, or how many retail traders there are, how many stick around and for how long, etc. Another big factor was if I got my bot up to making big money, how would that affect the charts? Something I often say, and I also heard Tori's uncle say (I have never heard anyone else say this ever and most people actually argue with me about it) is that when you make money, someone else is losing money. So another big problem was, if I start pulling BIG money from a given instrument, how long are people going to stick around and lose it? You fk with the whole ecosystem at that point. So even of someone had a golden egg trading bot and millions of dollars to trade on it, it would be ideal to diversify like crazy, make it smart enough to adapt to any chart and run smaller amounts on several instruments. Sorry didn't mean to ramble this long.
Intuition is another word for pattern recognition (see D. Kahneman's Prospect Theory). It can be learned just like any other skill. I agree with the relationship part. Splendid video.
This maybe too much for some people but what you are saying is so true. I ve been following this approach for 6months and results are phenominal. Relationalship with whatever you are trading is important whether its a forex pair, instrument or a coin.
Tori this was one of the best videos about trading ever watched!! i have goosebump! thank you so much. you are speaking out of my heart. i am in a relationship with nq and it takes time. it takes time to get to know the moments when your "partner" simply is on another frequency than you and when its good for you both to step away for example. and yes this is intuition AND don't being dependant haha! not holding your partner, just let him be. free. make yourself free. join him when you are happy and not when you are bored or under pressure and then the dance will be amazing together. that's my strategy lol. only going to the charts when i feel free and happy. then we are on track. i will catch a move and step away and come back when i feel again interested what he is doing. sometimes he is doing stuff i a m not interested in. yesterday for example nq was in a mood which doesn't fit me and then its up to me to step away and not forcing to dance with him a dance which doesn't suit me.
Gotta have the awareness of your significant other, observe without judgement to extrapolate exactly how to love them in their language. All time frames. Know when it's a toxic relationship, know when your being unfair, know when to compromise; D Meet the family (correlating pairs ;D SMT blah blah blah) but don't date the family :P know how the family reacts during news events ;D And let's talk about internal conflict resolution without projecting onto the ticker, I mean the significant other! Thank you for such simplified and entertaining information :D Brought me back to the basics and also opened me up to Platinum and has given me a good source to start my wife off with when shes craving youtube learning :D Cheers @ToriTrades! I think the reason we see certain instruments respond in different ways is mainly because people do stick to trading one or two different instruments. So the overall price action we see is based on the cumulative total of the emotions/disciplines of the people that trade it. Anyways great stuff Tori you’re my fav!

Everything in this video I 100% agree with. I've been training the same pair for the last year or 2. And I've grown a relationship with this. I only have to trade it 2 times a week to be profitable.
All agree🤗 also, no one talks about that not every istrument is good for any type of trading, or any trading at all. I selected my instruments based on my trading sytle, and my trading style doesn't fit for all. Selecting based on the highest probability win rate from past performance... 🤷♀
Dow 30- McDonalds, Home Depot, and Boeing are my top 3 in that market. Disney Chevron and Nike are my 3 lower risk stocks to trade. Nasdaq- Tesla and AMD are it for now. The high end companies are much more volatility and pricy lol 😅 U speaking facts boss lady im teaching my followers the same thing 💯

You are correct. The nuances are often overlooked. This is something all inexperienced traders need to hear. Most people over simplify it and make it sound easier than it really is. This is a solid video. I had to learn these things the hard way.
You are spot on with crude oil. I don’t trade MCL as much as I did last year but if I do take a Crude Oil trade I need to see the fake out. I call Crude Oil the trickster.

I already have this from four years of paper trading 😅 Thats why on paper i made $892,000 on amazon lol, that was made basically from understanding amazon very very well.
I was early on platinum sell call. Closed the trade -$50 only to see daily Ultimate oscillator and ROC rate of change bearish. The sales are happening now. I tripled down fk that take profit @$900 price level for $1000K profit. Platinum is awesome.

I trend line trade without trend lines but 5HR moving averages boxes instead. I send my students to Tori Trades and now they draw trend lines as well. They're 13-15 bro it's amazing.
I am aslo stick to 2 paira WTI and Gold for me is more than enough to make profits. Ita true you have to know the pair well its traps and behaviour. I thing she gives such time as monts because she refering to just watching it. You can get familiar with pair for 1 month if you put ur whole focus into it and analyse it endlessly historical data how to behaves what it does before big move ect ect ect so many things to discover.
You really focus on commodities. When you were "entering the dating scene" what made you choose commodities over other sectors? Do you think it would be wise to even take a step back to see what sector fits best before dating an instrument?

Developing a relationship with an instrument is a valuable lesson every trader should inculcate.
