Indraneel is a fourth-generation entrepreneur of the 80-year-old Chitale Group, which is renowned internationally for its Maharashtrian sweetmeats (sweets) and snacks like bakarwadi. As a young and tech-savvy leader, Indraneel has steered the use of cutting-edge technology for logistics, production, sales and marketing to track and optimize every aspect of the product journey.
He has overseen the group's state-of-the-art fully automated plant in Khed Shivapur near Pune that was commissioned in 2016. Indraneel has mastered the art of preserving traditional Indian sweets and snacks for a longer shelf life with minimal preservatives through innovative packaging and processing methods.
Under his leadership, Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale has adopted cloud-based sales software, AI-enabled supply chain management, automated production lines customized from imported equipment, and franchised compact "express stores" to rapidly scale up their production and distribution across India while maintaining product freshness and quality.
