Buying new bits and a bit of paint doesn't up the value of a vehicle i found that out when i spent over 2 grand on a vehicle i didn't get none of it back maybe if you put an expensive engine in it then ye but new shocks wheels and paint nah

@Paddy white got two t5, one camper 1.9 conversion and one 2.5 caravelle. Campers done 160 miles with a couple of hslfshafts and one dual mass. The problem 2.5 has 200 on it has a had a turbo and half shaft. Both never miss a beat and drive like new. Mate looks after company owned 2.5 and say not unusual to see them purring along with 350 on them. Each to their own
Worth way more than that just with the way it looks. Pricing is all over the place and VWs tend to hold well but that caddy is worth it all day long. Atleast you’ll make a days profit out of it👍
The little Peugeot 206 diesel sport that I used to own had an engine management light come on - it also had an MOT coming up so I filled it with super diesel as I'd been advised to do that to improve the emission test result. Lo and behold, the warning light went out! Mentioned it to the guy who was going to do the MOT and he said yeah, it works sometimes; he'd done it with VW diesels as well. These days I use premium diesel all the time, it's worth it for my peace of mind.
2 of the 7 cars i own i have owned twice; mk2 golf gti 8v sold in 09 bought back in 2015 for buttons, rebuild and worth 10 times what i paid for it. 89 205 Gti 1.6 sorrento green sold in 06 bought back this year after 8 owners, rolling shell, van full of bits but i had to get it.... 🤦♂️😁 great vid again guys 👍😎

I admire that you don't want to be greedy, but you could a little more out of that without even others blinking an eye. It came back to you to be sold for more haha!
Its almost like you have been renting that van out in a way! Amazing that someone spent quite a bit of money on it and then decided to sell it a few months later but a big bonus for your guys. It doesn't look over the top just enough to make it look more attractive so I expect it will fly out the door!

The bumper is original textured plastic, Most people spray the grill to the end of the fog light housing in gloss black, Quite weird seeing it cutoff where it does. And now is the best time for a clean caddy to be sold, deffo worth more than 3k as is! its immaculate, people with pay 4k for that and then put a new motor in it when it dies lol

I’ve got a white 13 plate caddy, 1.6 tdi (75bhp) chipped to 104 . Absolutely love it. I can get 50 mpg easily. Although I can get it down to 25 when on a “b” road 🤣🤣
Get yourself a glue dent pulling kit (PDR) and watch a couple of vids, it's not hard to do with simple dents like on that van. I got a kit and it's well worth giving it a go.

EML light means nothing,when it flashes it is.Bought a mini one recently just for a daily driver.No exspansion on cap on .New indicator stalk .Paid 470 on a 03 plate been offered 300 over what i paid.Nice days work and a van you had and sold
I would try to get to the bottom of that EML. Looks like it's been a problem a while judging by it's last MOT in Jan/Feb. Is that maybe why he sold it so quickly after - possible expensive problem?. A one mile drive isn't enough to check, I'd be taking it out for a good run to be honest. The last car that did that to me used to take at least 30 minutes to an hour before it came back, if not longer. Was an expensive fix for me in the end. Hope everything is ok with the van.

Radio reception is bad on vw android headunits....I have 3 VWs with android and have installed USB DAB aerials in all 3 for crystal clear reception and more choice of station....dab aerial and booster are around £25 😀

Had to do a double take rob I thought you had brought the van on to see if anyone noticed. It's a lovely van and someone has spent a lot of time on it. Used vans have shot up in price and are getting hard to find with everyone dropping on the amazon parcel deliveries since lockdown. My local car dealer offered a friend more money for his van than he paid for it from them two year ago.
van looks nice, think £3500 easily achievable, but thats your shout. last couple of years we've had a few vehicles in for service, slated them with a massive hit list of extra work, punter declines, then sell them on. the new owner then comes back to us for diag/checkover, quoting "well its just been serviced by yourselves". yes - serviced, but we didnt fix nowt else - whoops, get your hand in your pocket.

Not sure I could see a little switch, but on the dash to the right of the steering wheel you've got a dial for the brightness of the dashboard instrument cluster, another for adjusting the angle of the headlamps and the larger rotary switch dial is for the sidelights + headlamps.
You need a kit bag with all your essentials in it when viewing motors, then it’s as easy as pick the bag up before you leave your shop That’s how i did it with my photography, different bags for different setups
A guy just round the corner from me had one he lowered it and painted it a mint colour. Someone smashed the back in. He must have brought bsck from the insurance because he got another one and painted it the same and swapped the parts over, it looked quite nice. Rob if you are trading in a small radius it is probably inevitable that you will get the odd boomerang. 😁 The lowering kit probably cost a few hundred pounds, I don't know now having been out of the custom car scene for a long time. I wounder if he got the wheels from Silverlake? Anyway the video was not a waste of time gents, it just shows how the motor trade works. You left a bit in it for the next guy.😁👍👍

Yes you would thought that was a fleet van it's been done up nice obviously the former owner bit of a boy racer the front bumper may have been modified but worked hard to get those bumpers painted and make sure they don't peel otherwise they will look ridiculous but yes looks nice

Just as others have said, the days of diesels running cheaply to high miles have long gone! With all the emission equipment and electronics now, they all too often turn into an expensive headache at these kind of miles. you pay your money, you take your risk. ( amazing how many people will pay well over the odds for both VW Scene Tax & a few modifications.............. still the same van underneath............

As long as you inform the insurance company should be fine. Obviously performance upgrades will affect your premium
