This might be the best blind pour team-theme challenge yet. Watching Bear Doyle nail every bottle and then slowly try to convince himself it was something else was shockingly entertaining. Thanks Brandon for the great idea!
These are great, one of my favorite style of videos. I especially enjoy when they are attainable bottles. The only improvement I can suggest is to keep the name of the bottle somewhere onthe screen while you're talking about it. Sometimes people are half watching these videos while doing some other task and it's always nice to be able to look over and instantly see what you're referring to. Thanks.
Brandon is the man. And Dan nailed the theme, distilleries, and essentially 1 bottle. Brandon next please do the 4 worst Woodford Masters Collection and see if they can surmise it is a $125 line of whiskey..
I prefer Jim Beam Black rather Evan W. Black which cost is same. WT yes but only 101. Grand Dad is so expensive in my country. For Jack Daniels I would step up for Gentelmen or go with Jim Beam white with ice. That works for me at least.
Shouldve thrown in mellow corn. That beats buffalo trace in blinds for me, although now that i think of it buffalo trace took last in every blind i put it in....
Gotta give the due credit where the credit is due, Vampire may be right for once. I bought an ET BiB in CA and brought it home to my ABC state where it's not available. Turned out to be a sazerac bottle, but AYE CARRAMBAH this stuff is CRUSHABLE. It's up there with RE LM/PD, 1792sb(aired out for 2-3 months), and maybe cooper's craft 100 in the "Cheap homeruns" category.
The guys nailed it on the OGD comment while still blinded - I’m in the minority in the bourbon community that doesn’t love any of the OGD. They all have a sourness that doesn’t hit my palate right.
Evan Williams Black Label is the Best Budget Bourbon on the Bottom Shelf under 20 Bucks. I could happily drink Evan Williams for the rest of my life and never complain about spending more than $20 on a Bottle of Whiskey ever again. Wild Turkey 81 and Jack Daniel’s Old No.7 is already 20 Dollars down here in Florida. Evan Williams is still under $15/$20 at most locations throughout the State.
If you can correctly pick a bottle froma blind taste test then I definitely trust your opinion on what is and what isn't a good tasting whiskey. The fact you can pinpoint JD so fast is ridiculous.
@@lonewanderer3603 In that context it's still terrible. I'm not going to drink crappy whiskey just because it's cheap. Old Tub is $20 here. There are many better products at that price, and some even cheaper. I can get Wild Turkey 101 for $20, or the 101 Rye for $18, or any of the Benchmark series for $15 - $23, and so on. That said, if you like it, nothing wrong with that. Personally, Old Tub was very near the "drain pour" line for me.

PSA: If you have fruit flies (or rotten pumpkin flies), make sure that Old Elk stopper has been removed from any bottle you care about.
Whys that?
head in the clouds; mind on fruit flies
I love these blind whiskey wars!!! Thanks Brandon for the assist!
More whiskey wars! this was what got me into your channel in 2020 and we dont see too many anymore!
Really like these themed blinds! Keep ‘em coming!
Good job - all entry-level whiskies. I'm impressed.

My blinds I do at home always surprise me. I think it allows me to judge what I like without being influenced by price, label and prejudice.
never thought of doing a blind at home. Sounds like fun at a party to do one
Such a perfect addition to the channel!! Fantastic content.

Stop this Immediately 😂
Thank you Brandon. I do enjoy the throwback feel to these
The blind blinds are awesome. No preconceived notions or bias. Keep ’em coming please.
I’ve been really enjoying this new format. Great job, Brandon!
impressive gents. your palates are amazing!
We just got Rare breed and Russell's 10 for the first time in our store, guess we will be trying them tonight!
Oh and I love this format!!
Good job! You didn't call all the bottles but you had the theme and several of the distilleries.
Love these videos, keep em coming!
I just had the standard Wild Turkey, for the first time, at a neighbor's BBQ. Very tasty, easy drinking.
That a Boy, the Savant is back!! 😉 Fun video guys.
Double blind whiskey fights are amazing
Thank you for confirming my own preferences. This video was actually more interesting than expected.
Absolutely a great vid. Fun to watch.

For the small price hike, WT 101 would crush 'em all and it is just as easy to find.

@@kevinmathis1278 makes a good old fashioned but i dont think ill ever buy another. I just dont think it competes in the $25 price range
Ewwwww I hate Mellow corn lol
@@BourbonJunkies its not great, i just liked it better
BT in a mint julep is nice
Good one guys! Enjoyed it. Cheers
Brandon is the hero we all needed here. Great idea on this.
Indeed. LET'S GO BRANDON!

Love these surprise blind flight fights.
I think this is a fun change-up for you guys to work together vs brandon since you're always competing against each other!!
“Brandon Blinds” needs to be a regular thing. Well done!
Agreed. Keeps you on your toes
Excellent blind. Good job boys.
"TRY TO WHAT?!" So good lol!
This was great!
Brandon is my hero.
Loved this one
More of these!
Best episode this year
These blinds are awesome and more evidence that if you aren’t #TeamDan you are just wrong
Awesome way to do blinds and man Covid mess Sean up!! Dan is killing it with these and pooour guesses 😂
Sprague hits a home run…now do rye’s
Yall need to do a lineup that is your top 5 BJ single barrel picks to see which distillery wins!!!
Random question to chat. Should you try water in everything or just certain things?
You guys are good!!
You guys always make me laugh...love your takes and suggestions!! Keep me laughing all week
Old GrandDad Bottled in Bond is pretty damn good.
My favorite is cold jack Daniel’s
Shocker Turkey slaps, lol. Love turkey 🦃
Surprised the Evan Williams Black label came in 2nd.
Dan headshotting a lot of these on first guess and I’m not even halfway through.. damn
Did Dan used to drink Jack alot before getting into chasing whiskey? That's why i can always smell out a jack lol
I liked Gentlemen Jack back in the day
I don’t like Old Tub either. Mix Old Tub with OGD114 to get rid of it. That actually tastes good. 😆😆🥃
Enjoying the "Brandon Blinds."
this is probably your best video

What a great blind. Very impressed guys, u too, Dan. Jk. Impressive, Dan.
The Russell 10 year I've had is definitely not nutty, it's more super vanilla heavy.

Wild Turkey is about$17 here in Texas. That said, I can get Wild Turkey 101 Rye for $18, which is an amazing value.
@@Vykk_Draygo Yep, and Very Old Barton is about $14 and slays bottles 3 to 4X as expensive.
Can never go wrong with a Turkey.

lol, (eyes widen) "try to what?"
Turkey is an old stand by.
Love this content. Love to see one mixing two unicorns with two obtainable bottles that you typically rank way up there.
The savant coming through on the nose like he never got covid! 🤯
Bird's the word.
🦃!!!!!
You guys need to be wearing ASCOTS if you're going to make a video like this ...
Prediction: wild turks for the win!
And as usual Turkey wins again.... Only underrated to those outside the bourbon communities.
Try too... WHAT?!
Old Tub is disgusting? Based off how you ranked OGD, you might just not be a fan of cheap Beam at all.
We definitely are not
I thought this channel was PG-13? LMAO
A B D C
Try to what?
Agree with everyone else, these are great to watch! #LetsGoBrandon
You can find better whiskey than this in every store. Should have at least included WT101 and OGD Bonded.
You vastly overestimate the liqour shelves at stores in northern Michigan. Regular old granddad was even pushing it for this list.
Dan’s like a chick. He thinks he’s right about everything, but when he’s wrong he gets really depressed and blames Sean.
Jack is terrible burns and taste bad how do people drink these things ? I drink to get drunk and party not sip cause it takes good
Wild Turkey is overrated
"Old Tub is disgusting."
0/10 this whole video. Unsubscribing. 😆😆
I mean it's just not our jam... Never will be either
@@BourbonJunkies I think it's one of those bottles you have to evaluate in the context of being regularly available for $15.
