Scientists at the Sainsbury Wellcome Centre are not afraid to ask bold questions.
Tom Mrsic-Flogel, SWC Director, explains how the SWC is bringing together teams of people with different areas of expertise, including physicists, mathematicians, psychologists, data scientists, biologists and engineers, to tackle the hard problem of understanding how the brain generates flexible behaviour.
SWC Group Leaders Ann Duan, Athena Akrami and Andrew Saxe share their thoughts on what makes the research culture at SWC unique including core funding, dedicated facilities, and a team science approach along with a close partnership with the Gatsby Computational Neuroscience Unit.
