He uses different vocal styles on certain songs but to say that he lost his intensity is laughable. The only album that I found to be underwhelming was The Manticore & Other Horrors. Some songs he toned it back on parts but as I said, he never lost it. I doubt you actually listened to any of the albums you're complaining about in full. If at all.
