Guys I just made the discovery... BTS legitimately has a song called “Just One Day” ALSO 2Wingz looks like it’s actually a kpop band already too. I didn’t know BDG genius went this far...
Dale used to be my favorite member until after a show, I asked him for an autograph and instead he gave me his business card because it was "more practical"
It's fun to think about it from the perspective of the girl they're singing to. You hook up with 3 pop star quadruplets in a bar, expecting a whirlwind of romance and decadence. Instead they just whine about their brother, and they keep asking you to buy their drinks cos their mom never sent them the money they asked for.
@@zichefuzhao To get this ending, you have to pick the most negative options for the 3 members, then you eventually get secret options that give you Dale Points and, at the end of the game, you see him in a bookstore where he reads economics books and you fall in love on first sight. Wow, that was a lot to write
No, the earlier line that rhymes with "open the door" was "had in store". The main lyrics go "close; for; bros; store; sea; three; door". Dale's rhymes are self-contained and aren't needed to make the rhymes work. Congrats, bdg played ya.
@@SeanTBarrett Without dales part it would have gone "It was like I was lost at sea, Living life as us three, but then you opened the door" Those are Juunyur's lines without Dales so how does three rhyme with door? Cause Juunyur's line are self contained from AtSign's.
I think Sean has a point about Dale’s rhymes being self-contained. The same pattern occurs in verse 2, although the rhymes come at a faster pace. AtSign, TBD, and Juunyur’s lines end with “Dale; sale; price; buy; fly; nice; towelette; debt; die”. Die doesn’t quite rhyme with price/nice, but the vowel sound makes it work. Meanwhile, Dale’s lines end with “year; [interrupted]; rag; nag”, which doesn’t match what anyone else is singing. In my opinion, in the first verse, the fact that door rhymed with Dale’s lines was coincidental.
@@MrWhateverfits the joke is the line is probably supposed to be "living life as us four" because there's four of them, but they changed it to three to spite Dale
Can't wait for Dale to inevitably go off and start a solo career that takes off into superstardom, leaving his brothers to fade into obscurity as he becomes the pop culture icon they never believed he could be #JusticeForDale

Guys, don't worry about Dale. He's got a great wife and kid that support him. In fact, he just bought a new camcorder for his son. He's just gotta teach him how to use it.

Dale actually went on to have the best solo career of the group, then became best friends with an SNL-writer turned late-night host, then had a song on a Trolls movie
Meanwhile, the remaining three members used the money from a marshmallow fluff sponsorship deal to buy a houseboat, which is now their only place to live. In an interview, they commented "We'll do whatever it takes to live without Dale."
Dale was carrying them anyway, both in regard to finances and actual talent. They won't last 6 months without him. Meanwhile, I just preordered his solo album because I know it will be great, especially the ironic blender bgm in the diss track.
Personal theory: Dale came up with the idea for this song in order to get 2winz^2 out of a tough financial spot. He knows how much exposure a band break-up can get, so he made a song to make it look like they broke up when they were all in on it. The rhymes and flow between each of the band members is way too clean to be off the cuff, and now the mastermind Dale has paved the way for a future tearjerker redemption all about how important family is, all while 2winz^2 is swimming in cat food money.
Headcanon accepted. The brothers actually all having good relationships is so wholesome, I love it! And we know he’s as a savvy, self-aware realist it would make sense for Dale to be the most tuned into how to manipulate public perception for their gain. Maybe Dale was always the FANS’ least favourite of the group because he doesn’t have the others’ aesthetics and dramatic flair and they inadvertently overshadowed him, which they felt bad about as fans neglected him and pitted them against each other. So the break-up enables him to show off his talent with solo songs for long enough to earn his brothers’ fans’ respect. 2twinz^2-1 meanwhile is noticeably missing something. It’s just not the same. The fans appreciate Dale and the overall group dynamic much more when he returns.
“When my twins and I make videos here’s the basic gist, I would edit and produce and sing and balance the books and carry the entire goddamn band on my shoulders you ungrateful, self indulgent assholes!” -Dale
Well hot damn. Thanks you guys. I don’t often comment on things so being an active and noticed participant is wild to me. Is this what it feels like to win the Internet? Can I put this on my resume?
if anyone is wondering the lyrics are: Day after day I've been warning you guys We're not as rich as you think, I dont think it is wise, If we take a quick break- (continues with the are you blending something right now part)
The fact that this song was RELEASED, let alone finished, just shows how stupid, tone-deaf, and desperate the rest of the quadruplets are. Forget about the fact that this whole song is practically 4 minutes of TBD bullying Dale, with AtSigns and Juunyur basically enabling it. The sheer nerve for TBD to instantly turn around and publically ask their mother for money in the SAME SONG is just a new low for this band. Honestly, I can't wait for Dale to come out with his own album. He was always held back by his brothers.
It's a shame that basically none of them are on speaking terms anymore. TBD seemed like a bad influence, but honestly AtSigns and Juunyur deserved a chance to make it right, and definitely didn't deserve to lose each other. I think I heard somewhere that Dale wanted to step out of the spotlight for a while, and I absolutely cannot blame him. Not sure where I heard that though, 'cause I also heard that he had some crazy experimental stuff in the works. We'll see; I'd love to hear from him again.
After their work with that murder-robot I was appalled, and have to say this song came as no surprise. Dale always deserved better, and I'm glad he finally had the strength to leave the three others behind. Rumours has it that their mother went no-contact with them after this, she's even refused multiple interviews. Seems this break was the final straw for so many people. Shame, too. I honestly thought better of Juunyur at least, he always seemed so sweet to me. I'm honestly heartbroken to see such a seemingly genuine band go down in flames, I've got so many good memories listening to their songs. Got me through some tough times
I heard as of late that TBD has actually been selling all of their tweed stuff and talking to Dale to try and get a loan. Really a shame, but it is nice to see that karma does truly hit. Dale's album is going to be amazing once it is made. Especially if he releases the cut part of this song.
Y'all are high on turd fumes. Dale was always the lamest member of TBD. His singing lines were always trash and if he ever makes a solo album it will be the flop of the century.
I love how Dale is the only one who isn't recording outside, like they went to the filming location, purposefully "forgot" Dale at home, and then went back home specifically so TBD could interrupt Dale with the blender. Perfection.
@@quart8730 But what you dont get is that TBD returns to their house so that he could sabotage Dale's verse with the sound of a blender. Really gives you something to think about!
Dale is the only one inside, meaning he wasn't invited to the set of the music video. This is also supported by the fact that he needs to record through a mirror because no one was there to record him. I think dale needs a solo career.
There's an old band called 2-gether which I think was made for a parody show on MTV so I wonder if he got the name idea from there or if Kpop band names inspired him.
One of the things that I like about this is that dale actually seems like he was having fun singing in the beginning. And you can see his smile just disappear and it’s sad.
@@pedrodesouza1993 I watched this video like 15 times and then took a shower and this thought immediately came to me. I will never think of the 90s aesthetic as anything other than the Crash Dimension
I like how their names mean one of two things; either that’s their real names and someone actually named their kids TBD, Atsign, Joonyur, and Dale. Or, they came up with fake names for the band and Dale is just the name he chose for himself.
I like to think that Dale did the filming for everyone else but when the time came to film his part, everyone else was suddenly ‘busy’ so he had to record himself in a mirror.
This could also be “we’re never gonna die” as in, popularity. 2winz^2 will always be a hit and never “die” like people say “disco is dead,” thus always making plenty of money off of their music and not having to worry about debt or bills. Although the air quotes do suggest he either doesn’t know what debt is or doesn’t think they have any, at the very least…
This feels like the first act in a movie where the band will fall into hard times without Dale, and they’ll go crawling back to him for one final musical extravaganza
I met Dale at a charity dinner once. He was surprisingly down to earth, and smelt a bit like the interior of a new car. He paid me 30 bucks to follow him around and tell him he was my favourite band member, making sure I was saying it loud enough for the other guys to hear, so that was cool. Looking forward to the new album, especially the parts with Dale in them. Bless.
I LOVE how TBD says "can't you see that OUR tweed style is nice" even though he ie the only one who wears tweed. I'm 100% sure that he was the one who bullied Dale originally and convinced AtSign and Juunyur to do the same because Dale is "not cool", like, AtSign and Juunyur are just dumb, but TBD is malevolent.
i feel bad that the rest don’t *appreciate* the effort he puts into the business. he really deserves the *credit* . he’s been short *change* d by his brothers and now he needs to work in his own *interest*
This has the energy of something that you'd watch as a kid and go "yeah Dale is such a nerd, glad he's gone!" then rewatch as an adult and go "damn, that suit was on sale? That's awesome, man, can't wait for Dale's diss track that roasts his siblings like a Thanksgiving turkey"
Well, people aren’t trying to compare Clark Kent and Superman. If they’re not actively suspicious of Kent they’re not going to think he looks like Superman.
Dale has since moved behind the scenes as a producer and has won a total of 35 Grammys for writing and producing multiple of the biggest pop hits in history, and also has an extremely well-regarded Jazz/Adult Alternative solo album called Flagrante Delicto. It never sold very well, but all the coolest High School Band teachers own a copy.
In the bridge before the first chorus, Juunyur says "and then you opened the door," which rhymes with four. This means the previous lyric was indeed supposed to be "living life as us four," but they changed it without telling Dale.
@@MM-wp8xu This does mean that Dale was still improvising lyrics however. The melody may have been rehearsed, but the lyrics weren't, since those are in response to the alternate version of the song.
@@newsiesforever208 Sure, I wasn't denying that. Obviously, all pretence is dropped after the first chorus, at that point they're in full Dale-hate mode with Dale defending himself on the spot. But in the first verse, besides the "he means four" line, everything Dale sings is in line with the song and he still thinks it's according to the lyrics that he hasn't improvised. He only notices that something is amiss when TBD finished the chorus with "one day without Dale."
Becoming a boy band playing every single member while then composing a song shitting on one of your said selves and then slowly falling apart as that boy leaves is... a pretty good summary of my mental state rn, sure
I feel like not enough people are talking about how sick brian's range is in this song. If this were 2004 girls would have pictures of four brians on their walls
First I was amused by noting how Juunyur's shots alternate almost cut-for-cut (with maybe....one exception?) between Juunyur-in-the-woods and Juunyur-under-a-blue-sky, and then that made me draw a contrast between the fact that Juunyur, TBD, and Atsign all are outside, and that all three of them have various moving shots--whereas Dale is not only inside, but has a single steadycam shot--over his shoulder and in the mirror. Did they make Dale man the camera while they were filming their various bits, and no one deigned to return the favor, leaving him to figure out a makeshift way to not only get a shot of himself but make sure he could tell it was how he wanted it to look? Just one more way in which they screwed Dale and screwed themselves--budget-conscious Dale was probably fine with being the one to record and produce their videos, but who will do all of that now that he is gone?
On BDG’s making of video on his patreon he mentioned that he did that intentionally. There’s also a few other things he does to separate Dale from the rest and it’s super clever.
@A Pile Of Dirty Laundry problem was that they didnt pay the sponsor with money, just with more cat food. Dale was right, they shouldn't have taken up that sponsor
Dude on the Spotify "Just One Day" cover, the band name cover's Dale's face but not everyone else's open.spotify.com/album/2pAILHHL2HwQmWbaMB71ry?highlight=spotify:track:7uDVkMWnsw6EP5A99wTOxA This man goes the extra mile every step of the way
I've heard of people having multiple voices for voice acting, but singing? That's some next level talent, he sounded like every typical boy band member. Also, Dale's reaction to being dragged implies that he'd never heard this song before recording the music video, and I find that hilarious
Brian is the only UA-camr I know that can upload a horror short film and then a month later upload a boyband song starring himself four times and it doesn’t seem weird
And who could forget their follow-up singles: We're Free Girl, You Make Life Easy (Unlike Accounting) Mom Said We Had To Apologize Before We Could Receive Our Stimmy Get Over It Oh My God, Dale, Get Off Your High Horse How Much Must We Suffer Before You're Satisfied We're Grateful For Dale's Return (As Stipulated In His New Contract)
2 things I can't get over: TBD's reaction to Dale's long "yeah" at the very beginning (just the utter distaste on his face), and the fact that Dale *corrects* Juunyur's insult toward him. 10/10
me: *tries to sleep at night before an important test* my brain: their mom insisted on including Dale because she knew they wouldn't survive financially
It is SO satisfying that the second Dale quits they immediately go broke and end the song begging their mom to send them money. Also the reveal that Dale has the best singing voice out of all of them.

I also noticed the 'won't stop talking about debt' with debt sounding ambiguously like death followed by 'we're never going to die', juunyur has issues being left unaddressed

And it’s clear that their were so proud of this song that when things got too heated they deleted all of their other songs EXCEPT this one
Perfection.

It never sold very well, but all the coolest High School Band teachers own a copy.
the fact that dale knew most of the lyrics implies that they rehearsed an alternate version of the song
No, Dale is just a really good improviser. You kind of have to be when those three are your siblings.
In the bridge before the first chorus, Juunyur says "and then you opened the door," which rhymes with four. This means the previous lyric was indeed supposed to be "living life as us four," but they changed it without telling Dale.
@@MM-wp8xu Holy shit that's genius
@@MM-wp8xu This does mean that Dale was still improvising lyrics however. The melody may have been rehearsed, but the lyrics weren't, since those are in response to the alternate version of the song.
