We bought a new home and this mirror was there and we loved it- But suddenly the light is not coming on? What happened and how do we fix this? Makes no sense to us because we did not touch anything wire wise-one day it just didn't turn on-It can't possibly just die on us right? Thanks for your help!
I had an electrician install an outlet on the wall behind where I intended another mirror to hang. Unfortunately, Ferguson somehow almost doubled the price on us so I refused delivery!! Will this light simply plug in behind it or so I need further electrical work?
Im new to this project, If your wall doesn't have the grounding wire, but your mirror does, do you just attach the mirrors grounding wire to a green screw on the mounting plate??
So you have to turn it on at the wall switch, and then walk over to the mirror to turn it on again? Convenient! Why have only one step when you can have two? Fun. Good thinkin, China.
Great job spotting that! We cut the scene of hiding the cord because we didn't think it would affect the instructional purpose of this video. We do get your point though! So, just a reminder to everybody else, you can hide the cord behind the mirror after it's hung.
I was stupid to cut out the cord hiding part. I noticed that and thought that is not a realistic install. So how can I trust anything else in the video. I should have just gone to CNN. 😂😂
@@Grayfl1cks Mike is right. No connector on the cable coming in to the box, and they never grounded the metal box. Also, they never talked about any support wood behind the wall for the bracket. On most walls if you arbitrarily drill 5 holes horizontally like that all you'll catch is drywall and it won't support the mirror. Not a very good video from a manufacturer.
older homes do not have grounded junction boxes, especially for lights. it is 100% legal too. also I mind it plausible that the French cleat is more than sufficient for that mirror. it's not that heavy...
@@HOYAJM I was referring to the US. May be legal elsewhere, but safe is another story. My first house was circa 1890, and you're right- the boxes were not grounded because there was no ground wire in the cable. There's obviously one here, so the box should be bonded.
I want to know how the wire suddenly gets lifted up and out of the way at 3:11 into video with the mirror not moving. Guessing someone was behind fake wall and grabbed the box and pulled it and the wire in as the mirror was hung.
Can you tell me with what to draw the circuit for the sensor switch? So I'm wondering how to make a circle behind the mirror?
how much distance between mirror and faucet ?

I think it does they have like 12000 hour kind of use and can't replace the it bc there is no bulbs

Thank you for your interest! But this light doesn't come with a pre-wired plug, so it still needs hardwire installation by a professional.

Yes, that's the alternative.
Hi my mirror is about 2 years old. Recently the led light cannot be turned off?
How could this be done without wall plugs!
How can I know if I have the hole with those wires in my wall? My wall is shut.
You need to run romex to that point and install a junction box...
Thank you for helping out and answering the question!

Hilarious cord disappeared as he hung it.

Looked like it snakes up the wall by itself! haha

Hi, does it run of a fused spur?
We have not tested the feasibility on this. We do recommend using a standard wall switch for this product.
Hmmmmm….right hand drill turning counter-clockwise. 🤔

Looks like the installation failed as the top of the frame was at the guy's eye level after he finished.
This is not how you wire a mirror. Many code violations
Post a video. Show us how it’s done. So easy to be a keyboard electrician 🙄
