Question regarding mirror operation-If you set the mirror and turn off with a separate wall switch will it come on to past setting or will you always have to turn mirror on?

If you're doing an led strip, you want to look into getting the ones where the led diodes are really close to each other and bright. Then you want to add a diffusion layer on top of them. if you look on amazon for "led strip diffuser" you should find quite a bit of them

When you said that you were replacing the old switch with an outlet and wiring the mirror direct, I thought that touching the mirror every time you wanted to turn it on was going to get old real quick. Found your video hoping it would explain more about the electrical hook up. The wire coming off my mirror has a pinkish orange wire tagged with the letter "L" and a light blue write tagged with the letter "N". I'm assuming N is for neutral but I don't know what the L stands for. I'm afraid to hook it up to power backwards. I need to know which one is hot and which one is neutral. Any help?

How does the electrical code address the semi-exposed connection behind the mirror? There is no faceplate on the junction box so it wouldn't pass the code under normal circumstances, but is having the mirror hanging in front of it enough to satisfy code requirement? I've installed mine the same way you did in this video, but worried about it passing inspection when I sell my home.

Yea there's still a switch, we just ran it from a switch that wasn't being used

You can buy a blank cover and make a hole in the middle with a 3/8 connector and bammmm. Passed inspection

Looks like your wiring is outdated. Wire installed has no ground and I also noticed your Outlets in your washroom is not GFCI.
