Today I install an LED mirror in the master bathroom at the spec house. We also wire in a recessed outlet for a better fit.

looks fantastic, instantly made it a 2023 bathroom. very modern and neat.
Thank you and thanks for watching 👍
what I really need is the video of your electrician wiring up those boxes
I keep coming back to your videos. It's really amazing how you people manage to make those plywood sheds, the rest of the world gave up on ages ago, look so amazing on the inside. Good job. 👍
Thanks so much for coming back to watch.
Jason, I so enjoyed this video. You made the install look easy. I just purchased 3 LED anti-fog mirrors for our home thanks to your tutelage. Ours will have an arched shaped top, princess style bottom and will hang in a row above a sink, make-up vanity and 2nd sink primary bath combo. I haven't yet decided if I'll add vanity light fixtures above, in between or none at all. Thanks again.
So happy I could help. Good luck with your install and thank you so much for watching 👍
Thanks so much for making this video! I have a mirror very similar. I ordered it from Amazon 3 weeks ago. I know how to hang a bathroom sconce light and was worried this light was going to be very different from that. Yes, I am a very basic DIY homeowner. Also, several years older than the people who already knew you can learn anything from UA-cam! It does take someone who teaches skills well! That is much more difficult than all the rest! You gave great, easy to understand and practical directions along with showing the work!
Sincerely,
Audri
Thank you so much! Glad I could help. 👍
I bought this mirror for my new bathroom in Nov 22. I'm so pleased with it, even if it was a little pricey. Fortunately, the guys that did my bathroom fitted it for me, but I was glad to see your vid to find out how it was fitted. Great vid, thanks!!
Thanks so much. I really like how this one turned out. Definitely will use it again in future projects. Thanks for watching 👍
How do you turn it on? Is there a way you can use the original wall switch? I’m confused lol
@godwinthehuge7169 there is a touch switch on front of mirror that turns it on and off as long as power switch on the wall is on. Once mirror is turned on you can then use wall switch to turn it on and off. Hope that helps. 👍
You make it look soooo easy! Can't wait to install mine.
Thanks so much. They make these fairly easy to install and the size we chose was relatively light and easy to manage. Hope you enjoy yours and good luck with your project 👍
I stumbled across this video while trying to find a video on how to install my #toolkiss LED mirror, man oh man was this a lifesaver. Thank you, thank you, thank you for doing it, as the parts were similar and I just needed a guide to get me started.
So glad I could help. Good luck with your install👍
Simple and easily explained my guy!!
Thanks so much 👍
I’ve been debating installing a mirror like this and your video made it seem so simple that I think I’ll do it this weekend! Thank you so much!
Thanks so much and good luck with your project 👍
Thank you for the tips!
Glad I could help
very nice, I'll get one for myself. Great works
Glad I could help. Thanks for watching 👍

😂😂😂 . You’re so welcome. Glad I could help. 👍
Super Cool. Thx
No problem. Thanks for watching 👍
Excellent video
Thanks so much
Very cool.
Thanks👍
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you!
Absolutely. Thanks for watching 👍
Thanks for the how-to video.
Nice mirror, it would be nicer if they could change their settings button to the bottom-left or right. Also, I don´t understand why these power plugs never comes in a 90 degree connector.
Agreed. The plug on these are ridiculous if you intend on it being behind the mirror. Thanks so much for watching 👍
Cool outlet. Might need to be a GFCI protected outlet though.
Not a bad suggestion. Definitely check codes in your area. 👍
quality video
Thank you. And thanks for watching 👍
I bought and installed the recessed outlet and the plug is still on the way... any ideas on how to plug it? Is it only hot wiring it?
Beautiful and you don't need those overhead vanity lights...I was going back and forth about that, but this looks sexy and sleek. Love it!!
Thanks so much. We love the way they turned out. Definitely going to be using these in all our houses. Thanks for watching 👍
Do you have size 30x 42 or 44??? Please !!
Better check electrical codes. GFCI needed when by water. Also GFCI hidden by mirror may be illegal. It has to be available for reset. May have to be hardwired.
Good call. Our electrician did check to make sure we didn’t need a gfci and as far as our area we didn’t. Good idea to check your local code as well. 👍
Are we able to use our regular bathroom outlet if it’s close enough? Do we have to buy a separate outlet plug? I have the bathroom lights that are in a row of 3 with the mirror below it
It will run off any 110 outlet so you can use the one that’s already there if you don’t mind seeing the cord. You can also run it off the power going to your existing lights. Hope that helps.
I’m wondering if I can use the wall power switch to turn on/off the led instead of pressing the mirror?
If mirror light is on the light switch definitely turns it off. I tested a few times and it did turn it back on. Just not sure if you wait awhile if it still turns it on or if mirror shuts down completely until switch is back on. Didn’t try it after a long period to check.
Great video did you have to lower the original light box for the mirror or are they still at the same height
This was a new construction so I had boxes installed low enough to be behind mirror. If this were a renovation you’d potentially have to lower them.
Hi, Jason! Is this mirror bright enough to be the only light in a medium sized bathroom where part of the bathroom does not have direct line of sight to the lights?
Hmmm. That’s tough to answer. It depends on your desired level of brightness really. In my opinion the mirror puts off more than enough light to replace traditional vanity lights. That being said, I feel that most bathrooms really need an additional source of light overhead. The overhead does most of the heavy lifting by flooding the room with light. The vanity or mirror light tends to provide an accessory light source that mainly helps with seeing yourself in the mirror and eliminating shadows caused by overhead lighting. Hope that helped 🤷♂️
Do the hanging clips need some space from wall to allow mirror to sit flat on wall if wall not quite flat have seen some with a space bottom corner of wall not flush ?
Hmm. Guess it’d depend on how bad your wall actually is. Mirror laid flat on this wall no problem but it was a new house. 🤷♂️. Sorry I couldn’t be more help.
Great video Jason, are you happy with the mirror size? my dual vanity is pretty similar sized to yours and I feel like this may be slightly small.
This was a house we built to sell so I never got to live with it but the time I spent with it before it sold we really liked the mirror and it seemed proportional to the space. Once you click the link of the mirror we used I believe there were some alternative sizes. Hope that helps 👍
Is the led mirror bright enough to light up a small bathroom? I won’t need additional lightings?
Hmmm. Depends on how much light you like. I prefer to have overhead lighting as well as direct lighting like the mirror. I think if you just use the mirror the bathroom will be a little dark. If you like that darker, moody vibe, then it might be enough for you. Thanks for watching and for the comment 👍
Great video!!! Curious… is your led mirror just a noisy?! We purchased this exact mirror and man the humming noise coming from this mirror is loud!!
🤔 I didn’t hear any noise when testing ours. Given…this was installed in a spec house we were selling so I never lived with it on a daily basis. We worked in the home for several weeks after installing and never heard anything though. You might want to contact the seller to see if they’d send you a replacement. Thanks so much for watching.
What size was that one you put up
40x24 I believe. I left a link in description if you want to check out the one we got. 👍
Does it hold setting when the power is turned off?
We put this in a home we were selling so I didn’t get to use it too much but we did test it a few times turning power on and off and setting stayed the same. 👍
everything looks great. keep in mind, if you have hard water then those black faucets will get destroyed pretty quick.
How is it performing after few months.. many Amazon reviews say it stopped working after few weeks/months
This was in a home we sold but new owners haven’t had an issue with it 👍
But to put this mirro do I need to have electricity in the bathroom wall ?
You will need an electrical source of some kind. You can either use an outlet or the source going to a vanity light.
My anti fog mirror still fogs up. I don't know why.
Why not just cut the plug off and wire directly in? Why buy a recessed outlet to plug it in? I just bought an led mirror and I can just cut the plug off and wire it in.
Absolutely. You can hardwire if you like.
@@MDCHOMESon some brands like Andrea mirrors sold by homedepot in the directions they tell you that you can cut plug and hard wire but they also tell you that it voids your warranty when hard wiring
@Orbit77777 Good info. Thanks for sharing with us 👍
I used to be a mirror…
Alrightsir
