A vast amount of the hidden gems in Atlanta reside in the Buford Highway/Pleasant Hill Road parts of GA. Some of my personal recommendations include Okiboru, Mamak, Kamayan, Fred's Meat and Bread, NFA Burger, Xian Gourmet House, Henry's Louisiana Grill, and Snackboxe Bistro.
Atlanta has such a weekend Brunch / Patio restaurant scene. Buford Hwy has some amazing International Food (Anthony Bourdain featured some spots) definitely something for everybody
Mary Mac's is a personal favorite! I was really wanting to be there! So many great places to eat in Atlanta. Maybe when you come back, you could go to The Flying Biscuit.
Tab was probably the most popular diet soda back in the 70s and 80s. I accidentally got one out of a drink machine once when I was a kid. I hated it so much I could only stand to drink a couple swallows. It was a memorable experience because we didn’t get to drink much soda back then so I was furious I had wasted my money on it. Lol
I remember going to world of Coca Cola on a field trip & trying to get my friends to taste the worst flavors. Beverly was, by far, our least favorite. 😂
Wait - What? you were in Atlanta and didn't go to the Varsity ... not the fanciest food ever but one of the most iconic dining establishments in the City. Maybe next time 😁
I was born & raised in Atl. My parents datedT theVarsity..I went to the Varsity after my first college football game at Ga. Tech ! The Varsity is an institution in Atlanta ! Years and years of history and traditions!
Most of what's in Atlanta-proper is massively over-hyped, overpriced and underwhelming imo. It's a lot of bougie-ness and high-end imitation attempts. The greater Atlanta area is where it's really at, folks.
Chick Fil A is terrible in ATL because of "They Whose Race We Cannot Utter". You got to drive 20-30 mins outside of ATL for a decent Chick Fil A or for even any decent restaurants. Not to mention the constant weed smell in downtown.
You can get southern comfort food all over Georgia outside of Atlanta with a fraction of the price, unless you just want to appear "upscale". Go to Macon, Augusta, Columbus. Get out of the tourist areas of Atlanta and Savannah. See the other side of Georgia...the real Georgia.
Unfortunately we were confined to just Atlanta this time but we want to get back and explore more of Georgia’s amazing food. Thanks for the suggestions!
Loved “What’s Tab” this is from my era, late 70’s early 80’s. It was the best!!
Haha we recognized it from movies but neither of us had ever tried it. It ended up being one of our favorites!

The World of Coca-Cola experience sounds amazing! Trying out all those unique soda flavors from around the globe must have been a fun adventure!
Thanks for spotlighting the Atlanta food scene. I think people sleep on how good the food is here.
We had a lot of great food! We didn’t have nearly enough time to try everything we wanted to so we’ll have to come back soon!

Atlanta is a beautiful city of America. I shall have been wishful to go Atlanta in life.
Welcome to Atlanta! We definitely love our food here! I look forward to seeing where else you two explore!
Thanks! We loved the food there too. Unfortunately we only had a couple days there but we’ll definitely have to go back again soon
Looks like we gotta go back!
@@travelfulleryou missed one of the true Atlanta landmarks…The Varsity. Needs to be on your list!
Now that I’m starving, I’m gonna go cook dinner! 🍽️
Can't watch food tours on an empty stomach!
@@travelfullerit was a bad idea … so hungry
I used to work in PCM, and Botiwalla is my absolute favorite! So good.

There are so many more places to try! We'll definitely have to plan a trip back

Hope you enjoyed your time here!!!
Thanks we definitely did!
Frosty Melon was my favorite, followed by the Ginger Beer, at World of Coca-Cola tasting room
I think the ginger beer one was our favorite!
Their Aquarium is really cool too.
I love different combos of Eggs Benedict. There’s a diner in my city which serves a Crab Benedict and a Pork Belly Benedict. They are so tasty.
Wow those sound amazing!
I love Mary Mack's!!
What a great idea for a post: a food adventure like Andrew Zimmerman or Anthony Bourdain. Much love for your creativity
Awesome awesome video.
Thank you!

i`ve no idea how you guys eat so much! some amazing looking dishes, although marshmallow with sweet potatoes is a bit much for me lol
I see yall visited ABC and Mary Mac. Welcome to Atlanta
Thanks! Both were amazing. We were told we really missed out not trying some lemon pepper wet wings so we'll have to come back for some of those
OK I will definitely say try B and L Wings if you like honey bbq wings and lemon pepper wings
Thanks! Hopefully we’re back in the area soon
Thank from India, India ❤ 🇺🇲

Nobody local goes to the varsity😂. Nor do they go to the coca cola factory. These folks were misled badly

Where are y'all from? Do I hear a Californian accent in Kristin's voice or what's that? 😅
Haha she gets that a lot but we’re from New York!
Fried green tomatoes. All day.

Got any recommendations? I'm headed to the area later this month and I'd love to know where to go for good, affordable, food. No hype needed!

@@travelfullerI’d love for you to be able to traverse the state, but “pack a lunch”…Georgia is the largest state east of the Mississippi River.
you spent to much time at coca cola
Wayyy too much time! That part needed to be half as long. Thanks for the feedback!
