@DMazos those are the biggest but they deliver less water in a day cause they have to reload on an airport, not the beriev and the CL415. For mediterranean fire small and agil aircraft are better to fly through the relief with heavy wind. France is currently testing the beriev to replace the tracker and old CL 415.
man...I would love to fly this bird. Great job on russian engineering. Hats off for make such a multi purpose aircraft. I bet it's far cheaper to operate than the USA 747 tanker version(or DC-10).
The US needs some of these airplanes, they are still stuck using 50's era propeller airplanes to fight wildfires in california, but I guess that won't happen since they don't like Russia.
it's a nice plane. good for mid-sized water/chemical drops from +500 ft mins. i don't think it can get down low and dirty in a tight environment for wildfires though (eg +50 - +150), cause it's take off speed is faster then most air drop speeds required. good though for commercial/cargo transport into remote area's, like siberia, alaska, canada, nw u.s., south america. But range...?... Video doesn't say, but 1,200nm is required at least.
Oo Do you really think that planes which was bought still basing in thier homeland? After purchasing plane moving to new field Be-200 can dump water in several ways And collecting water from the lake without stoping makes this plane very usefull . Because it can drop water several times
snap. i figure since you will probably say i am a liar, about the clipper. Here is just 1 model of well over a thousand different aircraft america built for lifting bodies. this one was the HL-10, from yr 1969... yes, long before you were born. wikipedia [dot] org /wiki/ Northrop_HL-10 and all i can say is, since russia is using american design for aircraft, the clipper will probably workout just fine. cheers
Answering a question isn't trolling. Also, I don't give a flying fuck if speed is measured in knots, I can say mph if I want to, still a measurement of speed.
Troll much? a 3 year old comment... Ya, I think you do. And fyi, 98 mph doesn't mean anything, and stating 98mph means you don't know much about aviation... It's KNOTS.... Not mph... Cheers
it appears i know more about russian aviation then you. btw, politics is why nasa hasn't built the next shuttle yet. shuttle is old yes, older then you, but russia tried to copy it. didn't work out well. you need to check your information though. it is grossly twisted. and as for trying to go into the import/export, check your russian laws. $4,000 import fee of all vehicles coming in with non russian papers/plates. Yes, I know more about your laws then you as well. cheers

This is an extremely impressive design.
so cool !! the movies is excellent, thanks you, ★★★★★
Bulgaria needs some of these!

Amazing work... brilliant.
i'm surprised such aircraft is equipped with impressive state of the art cockpit

damn im so impressed i will not sleep all night
Very good video THX ;)
Minimum speed is stated as 98mph with full flaps.
A JET POWERED AMPHIB?!?! I want one!!!!
Russian aircraft are realy great
but this1! 100000000 stars
Do you have any official information about french test which occured this summer ? Is it going to be sold quickly ?
@DMazos yes since 2009
Ooh, ooh! I want one! Come on lotto!!!
Nice jet Ivan !!.....
сори за минус, случайно поставил не то, что
хотел
aktovegin, you are right
Yeah...it literally just turns around and goes back to the lake and back 10 minutes later. Lol.
the us ordered ten beriev 200 for its tanker firefighting
Salt water cycles?? and/or years??
not really, there are no amphibious 747. It is so much easier to refill Be-200 with water. you can make more refills with Be-200.

the americans should use this for their firefight activities in california
ok......I'll have one

BS meter is overheated. 747 was never amphibious.
can it land on water or collect some water for fire extinguishing?
NOOOOOOOOOOO
you makin no sence here
ha
