Hiya, I stayed in a farm cottage on a farm in Rutland in the UK, it was owned by the farmers, Mr7Mrs Renner. That was back in the mid-60s' so a lot may have changed but they had I think 5 sons, so they may still be there, they came from New Zealand. Stay safe...Steve...
I've never seen a hay loft that had Wall braces running to the floor like that. The barn we had when I was growing up had 2 floors in the hay loft but when my father was a kid there was a 3rd floor up there. They were raising chickens & hogs up there & they carried every one of them up & down the steep stairs cases. That was largely the turning point for him that caused him to not want to farm. Sadly that barn burned down with a big collection of old hit & miss engines in it when I was around 14 years old.
Nice job on the barn, it's complete with a set of jail bars and all! The sign is magnificent! The style of lettering with the shading accents is top notch. I recently started to do some sign painting and pinstripe work as a hobby. I feel like it is becoming a lost art like so many other things.
Hello from a new sub! I am so excited to see a Big Bud so close to home. Columbia, Il. I watch the Minnesota and the Montana farmer channels and am happy to find a channel close to home. I was curious where you are and managed to find you on Google Maps. Don't worry I won't give you up.
Wow!! The barn looks amazing!!! You guys especially your gramp must feel so proud!!! What’s he going to do with that old truck he bought?? Tell him a little 4 cylinder turbo diesel would be awesome in that old truck lol. As always WORK SAFE 😎😎🇺🇸🇺🇸
The barns looks really good that sing looks mint. Glad to see the barn was rebuilt. Can't wait to see more videos on that new JD project. Keep a eye on my channel this upcoming winter as I'll be doing some auto body videos on a older chev truck they might help you guys out on future tractor projects for when you have to do body work. Watching from Saskatchewan Canada.
Thank you for the barn video. The fire video is how I found your channel. Glad to see that chapter is pretty much done. Hope it serves your farm for a very long time!
