- Welcome back!
I made a trip to northern Illinois last week to pick up a Case 4890, one that gramps has been looking at getting for quite a while. He also recently finished a Case 2670. After moving the Case 2670 out of the shop, we moved the newest project in to get it started. So far, the Steiger Wildcat has its wheel off, hoses replaced, and almost all of the exterior sanded. We plan on completely replacing the interior and giving the tractor a nice coat of Steiger green. All of the mechanical components of this tractor are working great. We are hoping in a couple of weeks we will have a beautiful Steiger Wildcat to show y’all!
Thanks for watching, and I’ll see ya on the next one!
Awesome video love listening to grandpa talk can't wait to see the tractor all restored
He’s something else, ain’t he?
Thanks for the awesome videos!! I wish I had the $$ for you guys. I run a white 4-180 in 79. A retired AF a 21 year over the road truck o/ o. Luv your compassion ❤ 4 all the restored equipment!! One of the things I love the most about your channel is it's not like most UA-camrs it's more or so like an collection channel! I'm glad you guys enjoy fixing up the oldies and still running them on your farm! Someday I'd love to see your guys collection in person!
Man Jon, when I asked you at Rantoul to show more JI Case in your collection I didn’t think I would see 2 videos in a row… Thank you! Looking forward to August too. Keep the videos coming.
Glad your back

Thanks Bill!
Stiger with the 12 bottom plow is awsome
I do like the tire/soap idea.
It works really well!
We had a 2670 and a 2870 on our dairy farm in Pennsylvania. I preferred the 2870 over the 2670 however I enjoyed them both.
Nice, I like seeing those older Cases.
Great video! Love those old tractors!
Thanks Dan!
Another great video showing tractor restoration which keeps me inspired to push on with mt projects. What a great tip putting Dawn dish soap on the tires! Keep it up Jon! Farmer Ken.
Great video as always! I enjoy seeing what all of you do to restore old iron. And the 4455 is one of my favorite tractors. We had an opportunity to demonstrate one on our farm when they were brand new.
It has treated is very well! It was strictly a bush hog tractor for years but Gramps gave it a promotion.
Grandpa is a national treasure. Can you clone him a few times?
Can’t wait to see the Traction Kings all fixed up and perfect. Such amazing sheet metal designs they had.
theres about 5 or 6 farmer peeps I would like to clone if that were a thing ;) just saying lol
would like to see a turbo upgrade on the 2670 with dyno results, supposedly the 3lm466 will add about 20hp and clear up the smoke?
Great Video. You guys are one of my Favorites to watch. These case are Awesome.
Just watched the video on Ole M.Pete all I can say is Wow .
Absolutely love your channel. Now u need a 4994.
Thank you! A 4994 would be cool!
That’s a nice looking 2670
The Case looks great!
Got a good looking farming operation
Thank you Chris!
That 2670 sounds nasty👍👍
Congrats on 17k subscribers
Thanks Baden!
This is gonna be awesome
Happy New Year ! Looking forward to seeing more restoration videos! 👍
Thanks Scott!
Keep up the great videos.
Will do!
Dish soap works great on the glass to
Nice machines and work 👍
Put some wood blocks or jack stands under that Steiger before you maim or kill someone! Relying entirely on the hydraulic jacks to support the tractor is an accident waiting to happen. If just one rubber O-ring fails in one of those jacks, the whole thing will come crashing down.
Years ago an employee of our fertilizer supplier relied on only a heavy-duty bumper jack to hold the front end of a semi truck. The front wheels were removed. Then the guy crawled under the truck engine. The jack failed and the guy's head was pinned between the bottom of the oil pan and the concrete floor until the EMTs arrived. He survived, but has permanent brain damage due to a partially-crushed skull.
Spent lots of hours in a 2670 in the 90s. The air filters were stupid expensive even back then.
The turbo was oddly small and it constantly burnt through mufflers.
man you could literally have a camera crew follow gramps and post daily and theyd have to edit like crazy to be under an hour of get'n after it, lol
He’s a tough one to keep up with!
That 2670 looks awesome... When is your Grandpa opening up his tractor museum? I can't wait to go.....lol
Stay tuned for the next video, the entire collection will be open to the public at our show!
Happy new year to y’all out there also. Good to see ya back on the channel the case looks good. Can’t wait till ya get some more videos out. Are y’all doing anything with the buzz’n dozen kenworth yet
Good looking 4455 I have a 4455 Mexican model open station
If you guys ever come over a 4230 wide front with a M&W turbo round cab maybe with the loader maybe without please contact because that was one of my dad‘s favorite tractors he had when he first started forming and it would mean a lot to be able to track down that tractor
is that the one TONY FAST (FAST AG) up in montannna had on his place to see if he wanted to buy it ??? he passed but, sure looks like it, pretty sure he said ''has a blade already for already ready for snow season, snow pushing...'' words to that effect... huymmmmm anyhow... NICE TO SEE OLD IRON GETTIN NEW LIFE!!! KEEP IT UP PLEASE!
Hi we have a case 2670 that is case IH red and black. From what we were told it’s from when they merged and the start of the case IH. But can’t really find any other info about it.
Where on the list is the IH 4100 or did I miss it ?? Thanks for your awesome rebuilds
I love the 2670. That looks incredible.
Are you doing a restoration on the 4890 too?
Those tractors are pretty neat, like to see different color every once and a while . That 45 combine that’s on steel tracks, would you be willing to sell that to me for an FFA project?
we run case 4890s on are grain carts
I saw that 4890 for sale and thought it would be a great tractor just didn't want to pay what it brought. Ive never seen a Case 4wd with a window in the bottom on the door like that ever.
As always great video Jon!!!! Do you ever do referb jobs for others, or just y'all's one tractors?
I have a case 2670 that is a good tractor, it just needs a fuel pump that is like to get rid of if you’re interested
Don’t know much about the Case 4-wheel drive tractors than they had crab steering do both have it and what models didn’t
👍👍
Was this tractor you bought in or near Esmond, Il.? Went to grade school in Esmond!
Sure was!
is this a CASE 4WD vid or a JD vid?
What's the model of the new case project?
4890!
Very cool old case
Been seriously thinking about getting out of tech and into farming.
LOL. Seriously steep mountain to climb if you or or your family is not already in the game. Especially if you base farming on the majority of what is presented on UA-cam.
amazing how abusive some farmers were to these tractors
I’ve got a 2670 identical to that one I wanted to restore...
You be interested in a trade?..
Save me some time and headache!
Don't make the videos so far apart. Us city people need to know what's going down on the farm. 😀
I'd even settle for a short video of those magnificent horses
I’m trying to get more videos out, just a lot going on right now!
does your grandma even ask what you guys have for trqctors?
Great Video, thanks for sharing
