So many others seem to want to share the events of the previous day, how they are going to change their garage organization, progress on said garage organization, complain how horrible eBay is, blah, blah, blah. It’s really best to ignore complainers when your trying to get something done. If eBay isn’t for you just figure that out on your own you don’t need negative people to push you down further.
I’m a new reseller, and by far my biggest challenge is putting what I’m learning into practice when it comes to sourcing! I get to thrift stores and seem to struggle to find worthwhile items. I know it just takes time!
Thanks Jake!! So true about sale through rate. I am in "business" only 9 days, I started listing items (clothes) with very high sale thru rate, and had two sales of those hot items right away. As Jake just mentioned, we make mistakes in the beginning, so true. I am 9 days in business, and out of 200 sourced articles, I decided to list only those with high (50+) sale through rate. Probably more than half what I sourced so far, will go back to charities. You live and you learn! However, I know someone who does goodwill bins, and not always find high selling thru rate stuff, but she's doing well even with walmart articles! go figure.. Good luck to all.
Listed my 2nd item on eBay today! Canon Powershot A2300HD I found because of your videos!!! Sold in less than an hour for good money! Appreciate everything you teach! I’ve sold 63 items on my Mercari since October with 113 for sale currently! I appreciate you so much!!!!!!
I started ebay in 1998 or 1999. I was home healing from a really bad car accident. Listed 1 set vintage stick matches on auction at $10. that sold for $163. And I was hooked!😊

You can put that your going to be gone until a certain date, people can still shop and purchase from you. It tells them your gone and won't ship until ___ date that you gave ebay. If you change shipping 1-3 days, that will give you a cushion to its easy to change back
Great video! I understand that when I’m deciding whether to buy something, the determining factors are whether that particular item sold, and whether that item has a high STR. In practice, when I’m at a sale, specifically an estate sale, surrounded by a ton of other buyers, should I right-then-and-there use the Ebay phone app to look up the Sold & STR numbers? It seems to me that is the way to do it. I’m just asking in case there’s another way that I simply have not considered. - Thx! Tom
I dont cross list either but i use poshmark like you for slow moving. Also items more likely to get returns like womens jeans. Returns on ebay dont bother me at all but maybe because im really selective about what i list.
Jake, why would you continue to get “weekly” payouts instead of daily payouts? The Interest Rate you could get in a Business Checking or Money Market Acct is 3-4%… you are leaving money on the table. Please explain your Math and why you would allow another company to earn that interest on your money? TY
All ebay items go global now. Sellers don't have to deal the overseas cost. We just ship to the Ebay shipping hub they give us on the label and they do all the rest. It's totally automated.
Is it still possible to sell pre-owned clothing without promoted? Many are saying to stop promoted but they are not in that niche so I am wondering? Thanks !
Thank you for letting us know. I got an offer last night and gave me a low ball offer and free shipping. And said EBay put a block of his account for 10 days. Can you explain what that means? The buyer was a seller when I looked at his account. Also, telling me to unblock him. I did not block him. eBay did. Not sure why? Help explain what this means and how to handle this? Should I sell to this person? Maybe you can do a video about the 10 day block. Thank you
