Bratko, you can switch out to Benz or any other car but don't get rid off AR 166 it is an amazing car to look at and look after, greetings from Bulgaria.. P.S. (I own 166 already 13 years and still love it much😊)
I had once the same, with 185 HP the last Model. 2005. With original 18" Wheel. And yeah it was one of my favorite Cars. But for the year 2005 it was not modern. My car has run 240kmh. I want to buy again an alfa 166 3.2. Wish me luck. I forget. I have driven the car with 220000km till 310000 and had never problems with this car. Because of the engine
Before you buy, check out my other videos as well, as in them i explain and show everything that has gone wrong with my car and how much everything costs. The car is super comfortable, fast and doesn't use that much fuel. But the downside is that if it hasn't been looked after, you're going to be in serious trouble. The parts are hard to find ( they don't make them anymore) and are quite expensive. If it's a well looked after example, by all means go for it, you won't regret it.
Yes i have it as weekend car, for daily u should get the 2.0 TS. Don't think you can drive it for cheap. Lack of parts is a problem, doing good research and reading about errors of the car on forum helps. 166 is not a sportcar it's luxury sedan. The 3.2 is a luxury sedan with sport engine, insane If u have 166 u should be aware of the difficulties the car brings along but it doesn't need to be a problem
thinking to get the Alfa Romeo 166 2.4JTD 20V, atleast looking at it i mean. How is it and do u recommend? one has 180HP. Has 145.000 kilometres, but it’s 2000 so i feel a bit sketched by it.
Well, I had the 2000 model year 166 with the 2.4JTD. Until 2004, the only diesel engine available was the 10v JTD. In the FL model came the 20v, so that's a bit sketchy if it's a 20v.
Well it's either a swapped engine, or it's a 10v with a remap, which also isn't a bad thing. The 10v is even more reliable than the 20v, even though it's noisier and rougher, but that engine is also amazing. Especially the 110kw model. If the car you're looking at is well maintained, you won't be making a mistake. Just a question, does it have FL front end or is it the old model front end?
The 3.2 manual is a magical piece of engineering.
I couldn't agree more! The last great Busso engine

I agree, the car is magnificent. The only thing I would change about it is to make it RWD. Everything else is perfect.
Look dad, I'm doing 200km/h while holding my phone and making a video. Look mum, look how fast those other cars disappear.

Buy 3.2
I don't think the 3.2 is a good daily. That should be a sort of a weekend car in my opinion
