The uploader does a weird thing off when changing one identity to another they lower the population count and bar size lowering it down the chart before showing the new one rising from the bottom of the chart. It would be better to just show an instant swap over. Note the 'Republic Of China' changed it's name again in 1949 to just 'China' and changed to the flag we know today. That was when Chairman Mao came in. I find it weirder that the uploader has included all the commonwealth countries under the collective title of 'Great Britain'. He's added in India and others too to give Great Britain an impossibly elevated figure ie in 1936 showing Great Britain as 528 million when in fact today the UK only has about 66 million.You can see in 1949 when India gets it's independence the uploader splits the India figure out from Great Britain but the Great Britain figure still remains at a stupidly high 175 million ie it still retains other commonwealth countries counts in there too.
