Thank you take your time for sharing on UA-cam I haven't went back home since 2012 I live in Cali San Diego Going to visit my home it's really nice but it's humid hot .. Glad you enjoy it
Im from Northern California, it is beautiful here, but Tutuila the Manua islands and Rose Atoll where the most beautiful places ive been, rose atoll was unbelievable, going looking for coconut crabs in Amouli, early morning fishing in Alofou on the beautiful fagaitua bay, are good memories i will have forever
I would be deeply honored to listen and observe from you and your heritage! You don’t know how excited I am for the Samoas! Not even this vlog can express
Looking forward to the vlogs brother, glad you'll be in the Samoan archipelago. Although the language and culture is pretty much the same in both Samoa's, you'll notice the differences and influences of different entities in both nations I.e. American Samoa obviously with the influence of the US; and then those of us in the western part - with more of a NZ/Australian influence. It'll be interesting to hear your thoughts on what you find similar amongst the island group, but also the differences.
Ah man then I’m on the right mindset in understanding the context of both having connections to two totally different “colonial empires”. I’m def excited to see and immerse in both first hand. Taking the time slowly to see the fine details! 🇦🇸🇼🇸😁 I appreciate the support my bro! 🫂
I came here with the intention of asking if I could use some of the clips you got of home for a project I was working on, (with credit and citation of course) but I ended up staying back to listen and watch your curiosity grow into your journey. I have never encountered anyone that wanted to go to American Samoa before, and honestly it made me feel a bit proud. It also gave me the understanding that while we are miles and miles away in the South Pacific, the world is not too big of a place that there's one invidual out there that knows of our existence and is genuinely appreciative of the life and things we take for granted. Thank you such an amazing reminder of what home is. So happy to have come across your channel. Subscribing to follow along your journey. Malo Anthony. Also You stayed for the fautasi race? Can't wait to see the video!
A lot of my b roll footage was gather from other local content creators here in American Samoa. So I suggest to peep the description and ask them for use of the footage you are seeking 😊
fa'afetai lava! I'm currently here! Do check out some of my recent Am Samoa short content from Flag Day ua-cam.com/play/PLtE58S-UKnA8UTcU1QEcQdg3rIXTZunep.html&si=FXr0UxFQpKTZALbh
Love your videos! Love learning about culture and geography and the South Pacific is my favorite region. Question, do you ever plan to go to the islands of Tahiti? I’ve only been to one corner of The South Pacific, (Polynesia in particular) and it was Tahiti, beautiful islands and culture. Would love to see your review of it one day.
Ia orana! Thank you Tiffany for sharing! 🥹 Tahiti is not included on this trip mostly for budget, but partially because I have a feeling it’s best to do 🇵🇫 as it’s own self contained cultural trip. There are so many islands, so many unique island groups with their own unique dialects and cultures. The more I understand that the more I respect waiting for that time and understand what patience will serve me when that time comes 🥹
American Samoa 🇦🇸 was once just Samoa 🇼🇸 until America stepped in however America Samoa have a huge rich history , its home to Manu’a islands and Manu’a islands once ruled the Pacific Ocean 🌊 under the rule of Tui Manu’a a Samoan empire that basically ruled the South Pacific way back in the day long before Europeans came to the pacific and when the Tui Manu’a declined? The tui Tonga was born
Ahhh super awesome uso! I hope I can teleport you to tutuila/manu’a and hopefully soon after you can take the trip! ☺️ I’m super excited for this as you can tell from this video. I officially have my flights end of next month! 🙌🏽😁

Do you need a passport to travel there?
It’s states you do even as a us citizen. It’s a us territory but an unincorporated territory. So it’s status is unique
I don't think it's pronounced Sam-Oa, people pronounce it Sa-Moa
the emphasize is in the A ... Sāmoa
Me I’m from Samoa come in my house in tau
