Usually they are an obsticle to be overcome. Personally, I love the techo-organic look they have here. Makes they feel alien to the Cyberonians. Letting new viewers know they are a separate race.
I suspect the Quintessons in this movie are from Earth. The earth-like vegetation on the surface especially where the primes where ambushed supports this. Because Cybertron doesn't have soil so that basically came from the Quinttison soldiers and ships which landed on Cybertron.

In my opinion, this is the best version of Optimus Prime since Transformers Prime. This is the guy that we've been missing for years, bringing the optimistic hope we needed, especially in desperate times. And not a complete murderer hellbent on War Crimes
When pax met the high guard, their view was that the only thing that mattered was the strength of the bot nothing else When Megatron started to destroy the city and random attacks the high guard joined him When Prime and Megatron were fighting the high guard tried to jump Prime So they demonstrated they were too violent and could not be trusted (D-16 won their leadership from starscream)
Sentinel is always an asshole, but isn't always evil. In transformers animated he's not evil he's just, a massive asshole. If animated Sentinel arived on earth today he'd pick a Cybertruck as an altmode because he sees it as the "best" earth vehicle lol
Hasbro needs to sue whoever hired the marketing team for this movie. They made it look like a dumb kids movie and it is actually one of the deepest and best Transformers movies ever made.
They seriously do. I hope to God that they continue making more because I think I heard they were planning on this being a trilogy of animated films. Not sure if it's still happening after it underperformed because of dumbass marketing, but at least it beat Rise Of The Beasts at the box office apparently lol
Optimus' and Megatron's final confrontation in the 86 movie kinda mirrors D16's and Orion's final confrontation before ascending to their final forms. OP "One shall stand, one shall fall" Meg "Why throw away your life so recklessly? OP "That's a question you should ask yourself, Megatron" Meg "No!" lowers arm cannon, "I shall crush you with my bare hands."
"Why throw away your life so recklessly" = "Why would you do that? Why!? [...] "I'm done saving you." Megatron doesn't understand self-sacrifice for others. He only agreed to get the Matrix because it would get him to move up the ranks.
@@Rougesteelproject Idk. I think Megs was angrier about who Orion was sacrificing himself FOR. If someone jumped in front of a bullet meant for Pol Pot, I think people would be justifiably angry, regardless of the reason.
@@wesleygriffiths8748 Yeah, part of it at least. Without getting into a full blown essay, getting t - cog is his first time ever having some _real_ control over his life, especially after the reveal. And with Orion, we already saw from the beginning of the film that Orion will just drag him around for his shenanigans and then getting the brunt for it. So after Orion took the shot for Sentinel, that built up annoyance turned into resentment and Megatron's mind just lumps his best friend in to the group of people who is trying to take control away from him. Like, "you've been screwing me over too this whole time, you're just the same as them". Couple that with Orion telling him "don't be like Sentinel", that really offended him and added it to the pile.
I mean, this is a very young Bumblebee and he's been alone for so long. Yeah, he talks a lot, but the pure joy he has is infectious. He is known to be a bit of a troublemaker, and loves to have fun. I love we get to see how he started, and how he evolves through his different characters. ❤
Can we talk about the fight choreography though? It’s so good and gets better the more I watch it, especially the end. They blend in them switching between forms so fluidly
@ I really love when he kinda fell over, transformed and spun to trip Megatron/D-16 with his bed/legs. And also when he ripped off D’s cannon and hit him with it just for it to reattach and shoot back.
There’s 3 Things I have to clarify, 1. I’m ok with the Quintessons not showing up, I’m aware how much of a Threat they are but the whole point of this Movie is how Optimus Prime and Megatron began the Formation of the Autobots and Decepticons, IF the Quintessons had appeared more often it would ruin the Film and we won’t get any Sentinel Screen Time, 2. Elita wasn’t the one that had the Idea of using Arachnid to Expose Sentinel, It was Orion who did a Quick Thinking when Arachnid said “I can see Everything” showing how Clever Pax is with his Sharp Edge and Mind, and 3. Bee was done good enough, I get that the Character didn’t evolve but Bee has done Well Enough, his presence is literally the Beginning to Pax and D16’s Journey to who they are destined to become as it was a Red Flag when they found out that there’s 50 Sub Levels instead of 40, his Creation Steve has the Map, and while I thought he was going to ruin the Movie with the Comic Relief I’m surprised there’s Layers of Humanity especially when Sentinel captures him and Dee and Dee stood up when Bee didn’t want him to stand up because he doesn’t want to see his Friends Hurt, like the Quintessons I’m pretty sure Bee will Develop especially when he losses his Voice in the War, anyway this Movie was amazing, not only is it one of the Best Movies of 2024, but it’s clearly the Best Transformers Movie of all Time, the Voice Casting was Great, the Story with the Evolution of Optimus Prime and Megatron is Interesting and Heartbreaking, Sentinel Prime is one of the Best Modern Villains in a Long Time that he’s definitely giving Homelander Vibes, and the Animation and Setup are Flawless, 10 out of 10, I’m hoping this gets a Trilogy because it deserves it and I would love to see more content from this and the Franchise.
Imagine if, instead of Alpha Trion speaking to Orion when he's getting the Matrix, Primus himself is the one to anoint him as Optimus Prime, voiced by Peter Cullen himself.
20:11 Their planet is a giant Transformers, it would've make sense that some parts of the planet would constantly change. Indicating that Primus is still alive.
Well the reason why the High Guard were also banished alongside Megatron was because they also participated in briefly causing destruction around Iacon after Megatron had just killed Sentinel. I think it's clear that both them and Megatron are pretty selfish, not really caring about the Cybertronians potentially getting crushed by the rubble from their destruction
Also they inadvertently acknowledge that they prefer Iacon as more the strongest eats the weak than unified. As Starscream earlier said "A unified Cybertron is a myth, what counts is a strength of one bot over another"
I know that this film isnt canon to the Bayverse but that line that Megatron says: " What would you be without me Prime? " from TF2 I believe Hits even harder now that I have seen the film and the context to both Primes and Megatrons origin story.
Names of the Primes: Megatronus Prime Solus Prime Alpha Trion Zeta Prime Prima Prime Onyx Prime Micronus Prime Amalgamous Prime Alchemist Prime Vector Prime Liege Maximo Nexus Prime Quintus Prime
I kind of love the idea at some point there was a meeting and someone went "Alpha Trion Prime?" "NO. Just Alpha Trion." "But-" "But nothing. Alpha Trion."
27:40 my favorite part of this reaction personally, that scene gave me chills the first time I saw it I really hope more people discover this movie, it's solidly fun and like you said, creative. Not flawless of course (but then again, few movies are). An aspect I think is super underrated is how accessible this is to non-TF fans, I saw this movie with family who aren't familiar with the franchise at all, and they all had a good time. And for an origin story that blends together so many different lore elements from different parts of the franchise, that's really incredible honestly. Really hoping we get a sequel, even though I don't know how realistic that is given the underwhelming box office performance
From my understanding, the Quintessons in the original cartoon were the creators of Cybertronians (for slave labor), but most versions use Primus as a more benevolent creator. The Quintessons nowadays are an alien race that causes problems for both Autobots and Decepticons. I can imagine that the war against them could come into play for the next movie. Maybe showing Optimus and Megatron's different leadership styles drawing various transformers to either of their sides for the civil war. But if this does become a trilogy, I imagine the third film would need to end with the reason for going to Earth. Either way, this is now my favorite Transformer movie and I hope they eventually give it a chance for a sequel, along with a better marketing team.
Orion Pax/Optimus Prime: Chris Hemsworth D-16/Megatron: Brian Tyree Henry Elita-1: Scarlett Johansson B-127: Keegan Michael Key Alpha Trion: Lawrence Fishbourne Sentinel Prime: John Hamm Starscream: Steve Buscemi Soundwave: John Bailey Shockwave: Jason Konopisos-Alvarez Airachnid: Vanessa Liguori Darkwing: Isaac C. Singleton Jr. And one of the guards in the opening is voiced by Steve Blum! So yeah, the cast for this movie is stacked!
"Can never trust Sentinal" actually, Sentinal being an asshole is a fairly recent depiction, starting in the IDW comics in 2007. Before that, Sentinal was more or less a footnote, just the Prime leading the Autobots before Optimus who passed down the Matrix of Leadership. Now, he's been an egotistic douche, a backstabbing traitor, an oppressive dictator, and now a false prime.
I like the observation of the crown! One UA-camr made a very compelling argument that Sentinel from the movies was a fake prime and could not wield the matrix of leadership, pointing out that his head piece was actually a FAKE crown meant to imitate the appearance of a Prime. In Dark Of The Moon, that crown falls off when Megatron beats him up. However with Optimus, this is true form as a Prime.
Primus is the twin brother of Unicron. Both of them are the embodiments of good/evil and creation/chaos. Primus's very heart is the Allspark, the lifeforce of every Transformer, and Unicron has the Anti-Spark.
@@wakami1052 sorry, "isn't" what I said...I said "live action stylings." I'm fully aware it would be animated but in the vein James Cameron's Avatar or that crappy Linn King remake!
Amazing reaction! Elita-1 and Arcee are actually separate characters Arcee wasn’t really a main character but she had some likes during one of orion’s speeches and during the iacon race
The High Guard probably were banished alongside Megatron because after he killed Sentinel, he and the High Guard started destroying Iacon. Plus, during the fight between Megatron and Optimus Prime, some of the High Guard tried (and failed miserably) to jump Optimus.
2:19 One of us! Maximize! The origin of Megatron as a miner began in the comics before being elaborated on in later iterations. Orion Pax was made a miner as well in this film, previously being a data clerk who admired Megatron's resolve. The Quintessons were villains in G1 and Cyberverse resembling squids. Hope to see more of them in a sequel if we get one- a three-way conflict for Cybertron.
25:57 - the Quintessons were antagonists from the original G1 continuity and showed up in the '86 movie as the primary antagonists along with Unicron the Quintessons have since made a _smattering_ of appearances in other continuities either as entirely separate entities from G1, or as they originally appeared there in new material (Cyberverse and the War for Cybertron Netflix trilogy), and this is their first major appearance in new media, especially in the movies. In most lore following the 2010's, the Quintessons have been credited as invaders, having once appeared to Cybertron to teach them how to transform and accelerate their technology, only to attempt to sell them off into slavery. In just about every Transformers continuity, the Quintessons are BIG big enemies of the Cybertronian race
YESSSS! I’ve been waiting for you to react to this brother. This movie surprised me the most this year, especially given how dirty the marketing did this movie with the first trailer. But this is what the fans have been asking for. This movie is getting all the love now and it’s really looking good for future movies! Here’s hoping you enjoy it man!
45:36 I just noticed Megatron's head was in the direct line of his axe-stroke but he swings it up at the last moment to disarm him but spare his life. A sharp contrast to Dark of the Moon's Optimus who doesn't even hesitate to cleave Megatron's head in two with his axe even as he tries to negotiate a truce.
Not to defend the Bayverse, but I think context is important. TF One’s Optimus was Orion five minutes ago, and Megatron’s best friend, who he was still grieving about having to fight at all. Dark of the Moon Optimus is a veteran with millions of years under his belt, who’s seen Megatron go from bad to even worse, committing countless war crimes, and has reached the conclusion that he will never stop unless Optimus MAKES him stop. Permanently. The two versions of Optimus are at very different points of their lives.
When peter cullen was creating the voice of optimus he talked with his older brother, a marine, who told him if hes going to make a hero then make a real hero, not a hollywood action hero. So peter created something similar to abraham lincoln and jesus while the bayverse created a hollywood action hero
This version of Sentinel Prime reminds me of Homlander similar voice, blue outfit and a villain pretending to be a beacon of hope but in truth just being a monster who wants power, plus he's a complete egomaniac
I learned about it long after I watched the movie, but it turned out that the composer of this movie, is Brian Tyler! Same guy that did the music for Transformers: Prime! And you can actually hear some bits of the sad theme from the show in the scene where Orion is granted the Matrix!
In tfp, Orion was an archivist while Megatron was a gladiator that took the name Megatronus. In the comics I think Orion was a cop while megatron was a miner. So I think they took inspo here and there from different iterations/ tv shows / books. The Quintessons do exist, in the original show G1 and later in Earthspark as far as I can remember
The origins vary. Sometimes Megatron and the Decepticons were gladiators/slaves that rose up, others he's just a straight forward tyrant. Sometimes Orion Pax is a lowly data clerk or beurocrat. Sometimes Megatron and Optimus were past friends whose paths diverged. Others they had very little interaction before their two factions met. Like with any fandom, it's all over the place. Personally, my favorite is still the High Moon Cybertron continuity.
The moment D16 snaps back at Orion and says he wants to kill Sentinel is where his descent begins and it really hurts to think that they went from friend to bitter rivals in such a short time. Btw i also want a beast wars movie with this kind of animation.
I really love how this movie shows two sides of how betrayal can affect people. Both D-16 and Orion learn that they had something vital to their *existence* ripped from them, which in turn damned them to slave away until their deaths to fuel a truce between two sides where neither should be ruling the planet. But while D-16 took the betrayal extremely personal to himself and made it his inner mission to kill Sentinel while Orion looked at the bigger picture of how Sentinels betrayal affected Cybertron, Iacon and it's citizens- he visits the miners, tells them the truth and wants Iacon to know what Sentinel did to them while D-16 was focused on himself. Seeing Sentinel execute his personal idol might just add to this, especially how Sentinel told him about taking Megatronus cog. And I kinda get both sides. If you find out someone had removed an essential part of your self at birth and forced you to be a miner for the rest of your life, working you into the ground so they could fuel a war that is not your own... it's personal. And on sight. It's almost human to be extremely angry and stand up for yourself and if you don't pay attention you fall into corruption that initially simply fuelled the need for payback. Orions stance that he thought about the others first and acted upon it is noble, but also a rare stance.
5:56 pretty sure the going story of Megatron in a bunch of different medias was that Megatron was a once this great gladiator that got tired of being a COG in the primes government and started a rebellion. Other than that I think this might be the first time Megatron was ever depicted as just a humble worker drone who found out about the corruption of the prime names.
I was so close to missing out on this masterpiece simply because I watched the first two trailers, and was immediately disenchanted. I’m glad I took the time to listen to people’s non spoiler reviews, because good lord, I LOVED this movie. I haven’t truly enjoyed an entire transformers movie all the way through in a long time, I have bits and pieces from each that I love and some that I hate, but this one was overall amazing. I like how even though it’s not in any of the other continuities, it still has little nods to all of the movies here and there and gives us a nice expansion to the TF lore and story of Cybertron
Most people have heard the quote, "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned," but fewer have heard the first half that same quote: "Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned." And we see a great example of that latter half in D-16/Megatron. He had so much admiration and respect for Sentinel Prime, and when it all turned out to be a lie, his rage quickly consumed him. And he and Orion Pax/Optimus Prime truly were good friends, which makes their falling out and enmity even more bitter and personal. It's a true tragedy, especially knowing what will happen.
Brian Tyree Henry really out did himself with his incredible performance and his deep understanding of Megatron since always wanted to play the villains. Every villain is a hero of his and her own Story. D-16 is not only a product of Cybertron’s corrupted system and takes on Sentinel Prime’s oppression though violent means all the social injustices he had experiences forged his transcendence into Megatron and building up to a rivalry with Orion turned Optimus Prime (due to wanting the same goal of a unified Cybertron but have different viewpoints). But their friendship is doomed since they discovered that shocking realization their leader Sentinel Prime had sold out Cybertron to the Quintessons after betraying his fellow Prime brothers and sisters, and ruled his planet through oppression. D-16 has put too much faith in the system he has held on to until his worldview was shattered that boils up to anger and a personal vengeance after being suffered of the social injustices while Orion still kept his optimism by exposing the truth of Sentinel's corruption. This what makes D-16 a much more of a compelling hero-turned-villain and tragic character in Transformers history. And the rift between two brothers. Both D-16 and Orion really wanted a unified Cybertron but each have different ways to bringing it into fruition.
19:03 Elita-1 and Arcee are two seperate characters. They both belong to the "Sisters" Autobots (they had a whole episode dedicated to them in G1). I can see why you could confuse them, though - they both similar colour schemes.
Bumblebee is hilarious and amazing and I won’t be told otherwise. Also, so glad I wasn’t the only one that thought of destiny when cybertron was opening up for Opitmus
Transformers one is my favourite transformers movie alongside the G1 movie The entire cast did a phenomenal job in my opinion can't wait for the 2 sequels.
This was a very interesting story between Optimus Prime and Megatron just like they did for Professor X & Magneto in X-Men First Class. It’ll probably be the same thing for Mufasa & Scar in Mufasa The Lion King.
32:18 Round of applause & Hats off to you or whomever did the editing for this specific clip. "I will never trust a so-called 'Leader' ever again..." And it cutting to Orion during the line as his expression of slight shock hits alot harder than the movie❤❤❤
26:04 They’ve been in a lot of timelines but they wouldn’t be something in mainstream Transformers until now because the Bayverse movies literally made their entire species into a prime named “Quintessa.” Quintessa or Quintesson was the name for the Quintesson’s home planet, so they just took the whole thing and simplified it to one thing.
32:29 Actually what D-16 was about to say is “You” to Orion Pax. I mean you could interpret it to himself yet their brotherhood isn’t broken til the end.
This is actually the second time this was done. During season 3 for the original show, the backstory was told to explain why the Quintisons hated the transformations so much. It shows how Optimus and Megatron came to be.
One thing I think a lot of people Miss is that alpha Tryon says their uniqueness enhanced by you.. When he gives them all cogs of the primes which leads me to believe that the cog that they have is actually influencing their personality, not just their ability to transform. It's literally giving them the powers of the primes. And changing their personality because of the previous primes.
5:25 - Blaster & Jazz in the background. 5:35 - I think thats Kup on the left, from the 1986 movie. 12:11 / 19:05 - Arcee's among the crowd. Elita is a different character.
After seeing that final battle in the movie, at the cinema, I had to change my pants! It was amazing! I absolutely love how they use their ability to Transform in fights, showing that when it comes to fighting, they have almost no limits!
In a lot of previous lore Megatronus was the prime who turned bad. With some depictions showing him as megatrons mentor (the fallen in ROTF for example.) I really love that they flipped it on its head in this canon. It adds a little bit of twisted irony that Megatronus became the face and name of the decepticons despite everything he stood for anc achieved. And it adds that extra layer of sadness that D-16 bastardised his idol :( "No i want to KILL him" honestly hurts my soul so much knowing everything that comes later in other canons. This moment was the beginning of the end :(
Everyone thought this is gonna be a comedy! But I knew it, Iiii knew that it's gonna be sad and serious too! This tells the origin story of Optimus and Megatron, I knew it's gonna be heartbreaking 💔!
A lot of the lore in this movie had already been established in the comics, especially all the stuff with the Primes. Megatronus Prime is actually also known as The Fallen, aka the villain in the 2nd Bay movie. The Quintessons have been around since the original 80's cartoon. And the stuff with Optimus and Megatron being friends has been touched upon in both the comics and TV shows. I highly recommend reading the IDW comics to anyone wanting to learn more about origins of the Cybertronian War.

I finished watching reactions to Wild Robot and had Transformers One highly recommended. Glad to see your reaction on it! Optimus and Bumblebee have always been my favorites
I think of the high guard being banish is cuz Optimus know they follow megatron and sending out his former best friend to the surface alone will be dangerous
They really blew it with the advertising and hyping it up (or lack thereof). One dude on Twitter essentially saved it and hyped EVERYONE for it. My baby B... truly born to yap (here) and forced to shut up (many continuities). Some of my favorite little bits HAVE to be Shockwave though. Gold!
As 80s kids yes Orion and Megatron were friends in a way..megatron was gladiator and Orion was scholar. Orion did admire Megatron until he took more aggressive approach towards change...they saw their government was corrupt and was in a way similar to this movie. They did agree that change was needed, just disagreed on how that change should come. Either way as 80s kids I LOVED this story. Orion was picked for Prime as he understood Primus's vision..."Till All are One" Meaning unified transformers because Primus knew there was greater threats out there.
I was shocked with how good Chris Hemsworth and Brian Tyree Henry potrayed Orion Pax and D-16, with how they were friends and everything!

The earth-like vegetation on the surface especially where the primes where ambushed supports this.
Because Cybertron doesn't have soil so that basically came from the Quinttison soldiers and ships which landed on Cybertron.
THIS MOVIE IS THE MOVIE!! This movie absolutely DESTROYED MY NOSTALGIA I had with the Bayverse and became my FAVORITE TRANSFORMERS MOVIE, EVER!!!
100/10!!!!
Agreed
Same situation with me
Imo, this is the BEST Iteration of Transformers since Prime. 💯/10 for me.
19:05 Elita-1 is a separate character whose original name was Ariel who then became Elita-1 in the war. Arcee was featured in the movie a couple times though, we get to see her getting her cog along with Sideswipe, Ironhide, Jazz, Wheeljack, etc.
Also if you’re interested in watching more like this, this movie pulled a lot and paralleled scenes from Transformers Prime. Arcee and Airachnid are featured characters that have a rivalry.
They Never Her Original Name Because They Don't Fair Arguing With Disney and Change Her Name Just Like Hasbro and Overwatch Change Widowmaker To K.S.I Widow Expected The Exclusive From Transformers Legacy Trilogy Toylines and Both Transformers One and Transformers Prime Two Different Universe Not Same One.

FOR REAL! That is such a good point!
19:06 No she's not. Arcee was in this movie, she's the one that said "Miners! Those are Miners like us!".
I didn't know that was her!
There were a lot of Autobots in this movie they were all the other miners except for and Cillfjumper he can be seen on the leaderboard when optimus and megatron join the race
@@noir-214 Hotrod was also in the race. And Chromia (Elita's future 2nd in command) was the winner of the race. Crazy how many iconic characters we grew up knowing were subtly slipped in throughout the movie.
Yeah she also says “we don’t have cogs.” When orion is giving his speech in the barracks
How is it possible for people to even confuse these two man 😭
In my opinion, this is the best version of Optimus Prime since Transformers Prime. This is the guy that we've been missing for years, bringing the optimistic hope we needed, especially in desperate times. And not a complete murderer hellbent on War Crimes
Yeah. TFP Optimus was top tier and this hits very close.
TRANSFORMERS ONE!!!!!!!! SAW THIS MOVIE TWICE IN THEATERS TWICE!!!! BEST TRANSFORMERS MOVIE EVER!!!!!!! MY NEW FAVORITE TRANSFORMERS MOVIE!!!!!!
When pax met the high guard, their view was that the only thing that mattered was the strength of the bot nothing else
When Megatron started to destroy the city and random attacks the high guard joined him
When Prime and Megatron were fighting the high guard tried to jump Prime
So they demonstrated they were too violent and could not be trusted (D-16 won their leadership from starscream)
Sentinel is always an asshole, but isn't always evil. In transformers animated he's not evil he's just, a massive asshole. If animated Sentinel arived on earth today he'd pick a Cybertruck as an altmode because he sees it as the "best" earth vehicle lol
That would've been hilarious and most likely if Animated came out today.
You Haven't Seen Dark Of The Moon.
Say asshole 1 more time
I love how Sentinel is just a pure bad guy in every mythos except Animated. Like you said, he's just a total jerk, but not evil.
@@cyberextreme86 I have, I specified that he's not evil in ANIMATED lol.
OP "One shall stand, one shall fall"
Meg "Why throw away your life so recklessly?
OP "That's a question you should ask yourself, Megatron"
Meg "No!" lowers arm cannon, "I shall crush you with my bare hands."
"Why throw away your life so recklessly" = "Why would you do that? Why!? [...] "I'm done saving you."
Megatron doesn't understand self-sacrifice for others.
Ikr? Like that one time Orion grapples a mook mid-air and then uses his swivel transformation into truck mode to rip them in two.
@ I really love when he kinda fell over, transformed and spun to trip Megatron/D-16 with his bed/legs.
And also when he ripped off D’s cannon and hit him with it just for it to reattach and shoot back.
Megatron experienced the allegory of the cave firsthand and HATED what he learned.
As Starscream earlier said "A unified Cybertron is a myth, what counts is a strength of one bot over another"
“That’s fine. I’m building my own Iacon with blackjack, hookers and war crimes! I’m calling it Kaon!”
I know that this film isnt canon to the Bayverse but that line that Megatron says:
" What would you be without me Prime? " from TF2 I believe
Hits even harder now that I have seen the film and the context to both Primes and Megatrons origin story.
It’s actually from the third bayverse film.
@LoganLawrence Thanks for the correction.
Which is funnier cause Michael Bay worked on this film. His name is in the credits.
It shoukd be noted this is not tied to the bayverse.
I mean, its kinda hard when Sentinel is dead, when hes the main enemy in the 3rd movie.
Notice Orion kneels down to the miner's level when he talks to them. So awesome!
Just so you guys know, this is not a prequel to the other films, it's a standalone origin story movie.
Names of the Primes:
Megatronus Prime
Solus Prime
Alpha Trion
Zeta Prime
Prima Prime
Onyx Prime
Micronus Prime
Amalgamous Prime
Alchemist Prime
Vector Prime
Liege Maximo
Nexus Prime
Quintus Prime
I kind of love the idea at some point there was a meeting and someone went "Alpha Trion Prime?" "NO. Just Alpha Trion." "But-" "But nothing. Alpha Trion."
27:40 my favorite part of this reaction personally, that scene gave me chills the first time I saw it
I really hope more people discover this movie, it's solidly fun and like you said, creative.
16:48 THERES NO WAY THEY BROUGHT BACK THE A A RON JOKE FROM THE SUBSTITUTE TEACHER SKIT OH MY GOD🤣🤣🤣
Orion Pax/Optimus Prime: Chris Hemsworth
D-16/Megatron: Brian Tyree Henry
Elita-1: Scarlett Johansson
B-127: Keegan Michael Key
Alpha Trion: Lawrence Fishbourne
Sentinel Prime: John Hamm
Starscream: Steve Buscemi
Soundwave: John Bailey
Shockwave: Jason Konopisos-Alvarez
Airachnid: Vanessa Liguori
Darkwing: Isaac C. Singleton Jr.
And one of the guards in the opening is voiced by Steve Blum!
So yeah, the cast for this movie is stacked!
One of the things which I love about this movie is how it tells the origins of the Transformers, their Creator Primus, and the 13 original Primes!
19:48 bee is definitely any character in a horror movie with common sense in wasting no time running from danger
Megatron - "We were brothers once "
Optimus Prime - "Once"
Transformers the last knight
Primus is the twin brother of Unicron. Both of them are the embodiments of good/evil and creation/chaos. Primus's very heart is the Allspark, the lifeforce of every Transformer, and Unicron has the Anti-Spark.
"Full live action Cybertron" is basically drawing everything hyperrealistic xdd
Which isn't what I said lol
@Omn1Media it's just funny 'cause of "live action" in the name haha
@@wakami1052 sorry, "isn't" what I said...I said "live action stylings." I'm fully aware it would be animated but in the vein James Cameron's Avatar or that crappy Linn King remake!
As a 49 yo fan since a kid in the 80s. This is the best transformers since the 1986 original
I need to rewatch the original. I haven't seen it since I was 3 or 4 I think!
Amazing reaction! Elita-1 and Arcee are actually separate characters
Arcee wasn’t really a main character but she had some likes during one of orion’s speeches and during the iacon race
"You have been deemed worthy by Primus" -*slap-bass intensifies*
The A Atron joke was hilarious especially coming from Keegan Michael key
25:57 - the Quintessons were antagonists from the original G1 continuity and showed up in the '86 movie as the primary antagonists along with Unicron
the Quintessons have since made a _smattering_ of appearances in other continuities either as entirely separate entities from G1, or as they originally appeared there in new material (Cyberverse and the War for Cybertron Netflix trilogy), and this is their first major appearance in new media, especially in the movies.
Whoever marketed this movie needs to reevaluate things haha
37:12
Yes they do. They’re called “Stasis-cuffs” they keep you restrained to robot mode and from using any other limbs/powers, otherwise mobile.
"IT's not what I asked for" true, but it's what all of us wanted and didn't know it XD
38:15 That transformer who spoke is Arcee.
Both Chris and Brian did amazing job as Optimus and Megatron
In tfp, Orion was an archivist while Megatron was a gladiator that took the name Megatronus. In the comics I think Orion was a cop while megatron was a miner. So I think they took inspo here and there from different iterations/ tv shows / books. The Quintessons do exist, in the original show G1 and later in Earthspark as far as I can remember
Transformers One is one of my favorite TF movies like Bay-Verse, and Reboot (from Bumblebee, Rise of the Beasts)
D-16 caught him.
Megatron let him go.
B's making up for lost time after being mostly voiceless from the Bay films😂😂
This is definitely one of my best Transformers movies‼️ Bumblebee (Badassatron) was very cool, especially his knife hands scenes (39:40 & 40:50)!
"I've never heard of these things" Welp, sounds like Transformers: The Movie 1986 is in your future 🥰
Please let this be a prelude for a Transfomers Prime reaction now 🙏
No This Movie is It Own Thing Just Like The Bumblebee Movie.

@@cyberextreme86 What @Mosthero1 said, I was hoping for a reaction series for Transformers Prime from Omn1 😅
i love how hes staring at bumblebee in the face the only one to look like him, and yet he has to hear someone say who it is to be sure lmao
Most people have heard the quote, "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned," but fewer have heard the first half that same quote: "Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned."
And we see a great example of that latter half in D-16/Megatron.
I think it was said somewhere that Chris went to talk with Peter Cullen about how he can be a good voice actor for the role as orion / optimus
Big shout out to Keegan Michael Key and John Hamm as Bumblebee and Sentinel Prime! THESE GUYS ABSOLUTELY NAILED IT!!!
19:03
Elita-1 and Arcee are two seperate characters.
They both belong to the "Sisters" Autobots (they had a whole episode dedicated to them in G1).
I can see why you could confuse them, though - they both similar colour schemes.
The Energon Axe: So fricking sick that it became iconic even though it was only in one episode of the show
The CGI Animation is PEAK, CHEFS KISS!
It was made by the same studio that did the 6 live-action movies except for RotB, which was done by Skydance.
Bumblebee is hilarious and amazing and I won’t be told otherwise. Also, so glad I wasn’t the only one that thought of destiny when cybertron was opening up for Opitmus
Transformers one is my favourite transformers movie alongside the G1 movie
The entire cast did a phenomenal job in my opinion can't wait for the 2 sequels.
This was a very interesting story between Optimus Prime and Megatron just like they did for Professor X & Magneto in X-Men First Class. It’ll probably be the same thing for Mufasa & Scar in Mufasa The Lion King.
Oh They Did But It Explain How Scar Gets His First Scar.
32:18 Round of applause & Hats off to you or whomever did the editing for this specific clip.
"I will never trust a so-called 'Leader' ever again..."
And it cutting to Orion during the line as his expression of slight shock hits alot harder than the movie❤❤❤
32:29
Actually what D-16 was about to say is “You” to Orion Pax.
I mean you could interpret it to himself yet their brotherhood isn’t broken til the end.
This is actually the second time this was done. During season 3 for the original show, the backstory was told to explain why the Quintisons hated the transformations so much. It shows how Optimus and Megatron came to be.
Elita-1 is Arcee and Chromia's oldest sister, and Optimus' girlfriend sometimes.
They did such a great job on this. It delivered everything I've asked for in a TF movie.
I really enjoyed this movie. Great reaction too man.
If you pay attention to d16 you will notice his eyes progressively switch color throughout the movie it goes from yellow to orange and finally to red
An animated beast wars movie would be every late 90s kid’s dream 2:17
The director confirmed there were talks about more films in the series!! WE WON!!!
The Original Movie back in 85 talked about all of this History. UA-cam has the backstory of the origin of the Transformers.
And it adds that extra layer of sadness that D-16 bastardised his idol :(
"No i want to KILL him" honestly hurts my soul so much knowing everything that comes later in other canons.
This is my favourite Transformers movie man. It's definitely the one that has the most heart and most importantly, it rekindled my love of franchise.
Dude, this movie was AMAZING!! When I say I squealed in the scene where Optimus is first revealed, I mean I practically sounded like a dog's squeaky toy.
Gold!
Primus is usually in a deep slumber and only able to do small things.
Brian Tyree Henry is my new favorite Megatron. Hands down.
