One of the most iconic Christmas songs ever recorded is The Christmas Song, which was first sung by Nat King Cole in 1946. Since then, many famous singers, such as Sinatra, have tried to recreate the magic of this song, but none have succeeded as well as a 15-year-old Angelina Jordan from Norway. Her voice is captivating and soulful, and she brings a fresh and modern twist to this classic tune.
I agree with that statement a 💯 ... Angelina Jordan is something else... And the most iconic Christmas song ever.. amazing and thank you so much for appreciating Angelina Jordan...

I am going to ask to see the manager of my local Safeway store and using my iPhone, introduce him/her to Angelina's Christmas EP. Hopefully I will be hearing "Driving Home for Christmas" and the other four songs playing over their intercom system during the holidays. It's worth a try, and I suggest that others do the same with their local stores.
Hello, Sir. Angelina Jordan makes this song hers. So it is her song, as far as I am concerned. All 5 of the songs on this EP are superb. I'm so glad you enjoy the song. Yes, let her sing the song.......to you.......to us. She makes my heart happy with this Christmas EP. Merry Christmas, Sir. Grandma Ellen, out.
The Christmas Song is a classic holiday tune that was written by Mel Tormé and Bob Wells in 1945. The song was originally titled "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire" and was inspired by a heat wave that hit Los Angeles in July. The songwriters wanted to create a song that would evoke the feeling of winter and Christmas in contrast to the hot weather. The song was first recorded by Nat King Cole in 1946 and has since been covered by many artists, such as Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Ella Fitzgerald, and Michael Bublé. The song is known for its nostalgic lyrics that describe various aspects of the Christmas season, such as chestnuts, turkey, mistletoe, carols, and Santa Claus. The song is also notable for its opening line, "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost nipping at your nose", which is considered one of the most recognizable lines in American music history. Merry Christmas to you Rolf. Thanks for always supporting Angelina by encouraging viewers to subscribe to her Official channel and by watching, liking and commenting on her original videos. 4 of the songs from the Christmas EP came from her 2021 Christmas concert when she was just shy of her 16th birthday. "Driving Home For Christmas" is the new track and it is a Chris Rae cover from 1986.
Hello, Buddy! Angelina was 15 here. The last 4 songs on her EP are taken form her digital Christmas concert on December 23rd, 2021. I believe "Driving Home For Christmas" is new, but I'm not totally sure, because she has the same musicians accompanying her. At least she sings it quite a bit differently voice wise than she normally does, leading me to think that it is a newer recording. Great reaction! Love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥
@@zeuso.1947actually, they are not all new recordings. She used the recordings from her 2021 concert for all of the songs on her new Christmas EP with the exception of the song “Driving Home for Christmas”. Regardless, they are all amazing performances.
If you want to see some of the most impressive singing please watch Lucy Thomas sing Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas also LUCY & MARTHA THOMAS -The Prayer then O Holy Night, listen to Lucy sing HALLELUJAH then hear her cover of Evergreen and then At Last and La Vie En Rose you will not regret it Enjoy
@@musicandvocals143 I see that you link the original video. On it, you will find the names of those involved in the production. To my ears, Angelina's voice in the first song has a much richer tone and her phrasing is crisper.
@@alberttenfoot - Maybe because the first song ("Driving home for Christmas") is the only most recent recording: 2023... All the others are from 2021, remastered for the EP.
Hey Rofer.. if you want to catch Angelina singing live.. She will be performing at the Nobel Peace Prize early morning tomorrow Philippine time, appx 3am. ua-cam.com/users/live8LAMPz57Aqw?si=z1iQp7dwaIG9GKKm ....isabay mo na rin yung pag check out sa para sa 12-12 sale.😅
I may be wrong but I think these are new recordings in the Studio with the Legendary Musicians but I will need to compare the two to see if they are the same. For me, the Jury is Out, was she 15, or was she 17. By the way, Angelina turns 18 on January 10.
That beautiful, breathy voice, everybody knows immediately it's Angelina.
Happy Holidays!
Merry Christmas
It makes me smile to see how much you appreciate Angelina.
Thank you so much for appreciating.. much love for our one and only Angelina Jordan

Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California is Angelina's A&R person, and he has been working with AJ since she signed with the largest record company in the world at the age of 14, three years ago. Rob was the MC of AJ Christmas Show that aired Dec 23, of 21. AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years, and toured with Barbara Streisand, accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? Jimmy stated that AJ was the best he has ever played for. Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California played the guitar, and was the MC of the show. (I can't list the complete backgrounds on all the band members because it would take several pages to do them justice.) Angelina stated that she would rather perform than take a breath, and she has never been forced to perform, it has been her decision. © Larry D. Pifer
AJ now lives in West Hollywood in Los Angeles, where the record company Republic Records has built a separate music studio for her. She states, "I feel incredibly lucky to have been signed by one of the biggest record companies in the world. I have my own studio where I make my own music. There will also be a lot of concerts in the future because I have released an EP. I will soon go on a world tour and play my songs, (This was stated to TV2 in Norway on Aug. 21, 2023) © Larry D.
