i know everyone's talking about the art but it really is so good, the second image with Pearl and Marina looks like a screenshot of an actual 90s cartoon. I'm so enamored with it. You mimicked that older artstyle so so well, and I love the subtle parts that become more detuned as if it's being played off a VHS. Super cool
Honestly the artstyle of 1990s american animated television series (like the ones made by The DiC Entertainment Company, The Walt Disney Company, Hanna-Barbara Company, etc.) is pretty cool, I wonder why most artists don’t do that anymore; Goes well with the 90’s TV/VHS Filter they used. Heck, despite having a Sega Genesis Remix, it still has a 90’s TV/VHS Noise to it.
The character designs for splatoon work oddly well in a 90's western cartoon style- I would really like to know how you're able to encapsulate the vibe of these things, how do you do it?
I've actually updated this remix since posting this. I changed up Marina's instrument, and made the bass more brassy and separated, as well as cleaning up some other instrumental stuff. I just had some issues with balancing the Marina sound, and then forgot about it. 🤔

Things that are different or unheard of scare people. (I'm not sure if this user meant the music or the artwork, since the style I typically draw with is inspired by cel animation, which is not a Sega owned concept.) I myself have observed many a media that was off-putting at first, only because of how severely it broke the mold of how I perceived a similar thing, or how new to me it was. Give em time, they'll come back around.

@@masquaylathesplendid7516 If you ever get into the Official Animation Business, you should make a "1990’s American Style Animated Series" that resembles a "Saturday Morning Cartoon on VHS"! If Marvel Studios can recreate Classic Sitcoms (WandaVision), you could definitely do that!
