I'm curious though, you'd mentioned you thought it was one of the best releases of 2020, what do you feel are some other good recent releases? I'm *just* getting into otome games and there's so much out there (and while there's a lot of good it seems like there's a *lot* of crap too...) so I'd be psyched if you did a ranking video or something!
I definitely agree with you it can be quite hard to find some good Otome games. I personally am a big fan of games by Otomate (like Piofiore, Collar x Malice, and Code: Realize) because their storylines are always very well written. If I had to recommend another game that came out last year on the switch than it would have to be Collar x Malice for sure! Same I always use futaba or momo. Otherwise it’s way to personal, that and I don’t think my name really fits in most Otome, like I can’t imagine the voice actors saying my name and when I have it always makes me laugh.

I found this game to have a relatively short common path. I definitely think it's more plot driven but I found it to be pretty well balanced between plot and romance. (I may be biased though because it's one of my favourite games 😅) When I make these review videos I always try to make sure I answer as many questions as I think people may have, so thank you for the suggestion!
I can’t decide if I should get this game or Collar X Malice first… I watched your reviews of the two games and they both sound so amazing! Is there any reason you think it’s better to play one game before the other?? I just can’t choose alone 😭
I played Piofiore first and I personally don't think it would matter which game you play first but I think Collar x Malice is considered one of the otome classics for western players. Collar x Malice is a little bit longer, so if you were looking for a good lengthy game then I would definitely recommend that one first. Both titles are also very plot heavy games but Piofiore has a bit more romance than Collar x Malice so if you want more romance I'd say choose Piofiore! If you play one and really like it then I would highly recommend playing the other title afterwards! Both have a very dark, action packed plot so if you liked one of those game I'm sure you'd like the other. I hope this helped! 😊
I liked Yang's route the best, it was way more interesting than the other male characters. Lillianna barely has any personality which is annoying, but guess it made her easy to get along with anyone.
Romance wise, I am pretty meh about most of the routes in that game. I liked Nicolas'. And that's pretty much it? The Church centric plot seemed to be only in 2 routes if I remember correctly, so I was surprised because the other routes were all following one other plot and Liliana was just along for the ride. That being said, I thought Yang's route was the most mafia-like one. It was the kind of dark route I was expecting. The romance is dysfunctional and unhealthy because of who he is, but I think it worked. I didn't really like Liliana as a protagonist compared to those of other titles, she was too passive. I also wish she had a character icon. I find that the games I love the most have the heroine icon. I am debating getting the fandisk when it gets released. I probably will, but I might wait for when it goes on sale on the eShop.
I do own it I just haven't got a chance to play it yet. I'm hoping to get around to playing it soon but I've heard it's quite emotional so I need to prepare myself! 😂
Hello! As far as I know it doesn't have an auto save feature (which is really frustrating because one time my switch glitched and I lost like 5 chapters worth of data 😭) and the quick save/load feature will only let you go back to the last quick save you made. It's almost like a checkpoint so you can't go back to any other quick saves other than your most recent one. I hope this helps!

I need to try this again... but Dante's route put me to sleep too many times, I couldn't even finish it.
I had a hard time getting through Dante's route too but he surprisingly ended up being one of my favourite characters 😅
