You can also get chat GPT describe the trap in second person [from the perspective of the player's character]. In addition to this, if you play on a VTT you can have it format the trap using that VTT's format. I use Chat extensively, you do have to watch it carefully because it does miss things from time to time. Great video.

Thank you, I have been waiting with baited breath for your next ChatGPT/D&D video.
The types of traps list was indeed impressive. Did you try asking for ten more? Sometimes it will amaze you with it seemingly boundless creativity!!
I hope that you are compiling all these gems in an AI enhanced update to the DMs guide?

I use Chat for building my world on World Anvil. Recently i built a dungeon and had it tweak riddles, traps and an entire poem that spells out how to navigate the dungeon. Easy faster and easier than my normal method. It can feel a bit cliche at times, but that's when i go through and repolish everything.

I think its important to give your own flourish to things and not just use them verbatim.

I haven't been SUPER happy with it's ability to come up with good, complex, riddles... they are usually WAY too easy or not really related to what we're talking about.

Not good with riddles myself. It gives you a start to go by. usually why I let smarter people in the group do puzzles.

How about asking chatgpt to help a pair of players, each of which already have their own individual backstories, find common ground between those backstories and tie the two backstories together? If we could do this a DM could help their new players find pregame associations at a session zero so that they would start the game already knowing at least one other character without forcing the players to directly collaborate before session zero.
