The program is legit! Added like 70 lbs to my dead and finally hit 500 easy. Attribute a lot of it to the double paused suggested, absolutely brutal but blew up my dead like no other.
Double pause deadlift? Can you explain?
@@maxeffortliftz1086 knee area and then hip area.
@@maxeffortliftz1086 I did it pause once off the ground, finish the rep and pause again same spot right off the ground just before I put it down. Reasonably long pauses and right where my sticking point is, totally changed the game for me.
how is it with bench?
500 pounds, yeah if u traning few year it can work, but not for people over 10+,of workout
ive been lifting for less than a year this video is gonna help so much thank you a lot guys
Damn two really humble and easy to understand guys , thank you for the information.
props guys.... this is the best deadlift video i have ever seen than conclodes every thing a powerlifter would need.. thank you 💙💙💙
ive been lifting 9 years and powerlifting around 3-4 and this video is still an immense help to progress, amazing content!
This was extremely an extremely informative video by two of the World’s best PLers. Thank you both for this outstanding tutorial.
Rondel is so good at explaining the hardest stuff the most simple way. Bravo’
Watching your video for the 8th time after doing something wrong in my training and each time i watched your video i found something new that helped me increase my dead PR . Thanks a lot to both
Your frank and simple conversational style strikes a good rapport with us! Awesome content. Thanks.
Literally best video out there. Program is also valid I added 50lbs to my bench(cause I was coming off an injury) 50lbs to my squat and 60lbs to my deadlift !!
I've seen every Deadlift tutorial on the Internet and this hits every spot! Thanks
more tips leads to less injury.thanks
The best deadlift video ever made!
i've tried this todau and never been so hype to do a deadlift after off for full a year. What i got today was
1. Hook grip less painfull with set the bar on lower of my thumb, as if let the bar dangling and have room inside of my fingers fold.
2. Correct lat activation by making arms long and holding bar as if squeeze and break the bar, instead of activation lats like while doing bench 😅
3. Slack pull smooth movement that idk how to explain and using quad to press the weight up, when is about to get the knee lock with hips forwards. By doing this and changing my stands somehow i fixed my hips pain issue, or maybe because my stands is little bit to wide back then or maybe because of wrong movement on locking on top, but for now i wish i could make a good progress and learn more in the future.
this my 5 weeks of combeack, not much but today i pull 120kg for max 1 reps if you curious 🥲
Hearing a Trinidad accent from Rhondel
Thank you for being such a source of inspiration!

What a lovely couple of guys. So nice 🤩
notes for myself: 5:33 11:02 14:58
That tip at 13:25 is golden, all ive been told is scapular retraction.
Do this instead, instantly stronger.
This be so valuable. Thanks guys
Great video, thank you. Will you be releasing the squat and bench ones too??
This dude is 🔥… nice to look at too

the deadlift lord and the deadlift son of prophecy
U Guys Are Just Amazing ❤ Trying Out sumo like Legs closer but unable to keep that back angle vertical like Jamal's I'll give it time and practice it. Amazingly explained ❤
Jamal has insane leverages, very very long arms and a shorter torso. He is able to have an extremely vertical back position, you (and a large majority of people) might not be able to while also getting optimal tension.
Definitely agree with the point regarding sumo about having your shins perpendicular to the ground, I feel it allows me to produce more force, if I had my feet too wide I’d be so off balance and wouldn’t be able to drive as much
Thank you!!!!
This is PLATINUM video.... ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Thank you men for the video
When he said *im so good at it I cant fuck up* was funny as but so true
My deadlift went from 260 to 405 watching Jamal's training videos and tutorial videos. Thank you Jamal
great vedio
bangurrr jamal
Could Next video be prep for deadlift? Including warmups and mobility before session. Thank you in advance 🙏🏻

Same lol
What took you from 7pl8 to 8pl8?
@@Ryan-kh8ly Giving in my natty card 😂😂😂
@@francoisstrength lmao 😂😂😂
@@maxbremer903 Not gonna go and be liver king here lol. What got me from surfer bra to 7 plate lifting natty surfer bra that's a different question though. The natty card was given in after the 7 plate mark and after a concerning diagnosis of osteoarthritis in my T6-7 vertebrae. This along with an historic blood panel from when I was 22 showing bottom of the reference range testosterone levels, made me take the leap sooner than planned. I am 28, turning 29. I was going to go enhanced after 35/having kids (whichever came first) and didn't really want to risk my HPTA till I confirmed my hpta isn't working properly and hasn't been working properly for a while. (I suspect since using SSRI's for a year at 19yrs old, never had the same sex drive since)
That boy babu frik!
My best pulls are 270kg conv and 250kg sumo but the thing I always tell people is that i can wake up walk up to the bar conventional but for sumo there is so many cues I have to think about
Edit a Year Later: 270 / 595 - Conv // 275 / 606 Sumo
nice
you guys are the best thank you!!!!
I need to make notes to remember all of these, maybe v5 should come with a notebook 📓 ?
nicee
Bench Press Tutorial plssss 🙏🙏🙏
Jamal V4 is definitely worth it, I have added 110lbs to my total already at week 9
What were your baseline numbers and how many years experience did you have ?
how'd u figure you've added 110lbs to your total at week 9?.. weight has been sub-maximal.. u tested your maxs in between?.. i'm at week 7 and only squats have been feeling good but we'll see..
Finished running your program, gotta say it helped me a ton. Not huge gains on Bench and Squat (only about 7 pounds to each) but I hit a big 25 pound PR on Deadlift. I never felt overwhelmed during the programming and felt like it had almost a perfect amount of volume for me. About to run your hypertrophy program and then probably do a new round with the program again. 🎉
Question, how many years lifting and body weight?
you ran the v4? i'm on week 7 but only squats have been feeling good.. hmmm
One video biceps and triceps
The program is legit, heavy lift but not really burn your CNS down, however that last day of the week seem very very high volume and intensity
Look who posted💀
Hi Jamal, would you say that you have shorter legs and longer torso, or a longer torso and shorter legs? I've seen it constantly stated that longer legs to torso ratio are better for sumo deadlifting, but I struggle to see why that would be the case. Looking at you it seems like you have a pretty long torso. I personally have a somewhat long torso and short legs, and I find sumo deadlift to be very natural. Obviously long arms are going to be the primary factor ahead of torso/leg ratio.
Thoughts?
22min/24min man was talking about how Russ does his conventional 😂😂
Where them lightning pants from tho???
i have such a hardtime pushing through the floor on conventional. i can almost get 80 more kilos with a trapbar since i feel the quads working i can actually push
The point of sumo is to be able to pull more weight. Conventional is the foundation, gotta learn that first.
does anybdy know what chalk is used in corrupted? also sick video, so many tips that are so helpful
I was wondering the same thing because it laid on super nice
@20:39 damn I feel attacked 🤣😅
Insane video with huge intell, but a quick question. Where and when should i exhale? As for now i am exhaling after the whole rep is done. Should i exhale uptop or at the bottom?
Definitely UP TOP! This is how a lot of people pass out because they're holding their breath too long.....especially if they are holding the bar at the top. Reasons people hold the bar at the top is to practice for a Competition...plus it's good for grip strength.
Although some may get away with holding their breath extra long, I just wouldn't recommend it.
Personally Im gonna disagree with the guy above me a little bit and say that I think its a bad idea to completely exhale at the top of the movement. If you want to exhale a little bit to let some air out and releave any head pressure then thats fine but if you exhale completely at the top then youre going to loose all your brace. Thats not something id really recommend right before youre about to lower a few hundred pounds .
@luno rox. ^ Definitely don't listen to people who don't deadlift....best thing to do, go and look at the TOP Powerlifters. You'll see exactly how they do it....which proves my point.
Plus, lifting and LOWERING weight is two totally different things. I guarantee you could lower hundreds more pounds than you can lift up. Doesn't require much to do.
And nobody said you have to completely lose your "brace" when you lower weight lol. You could easily re-brace if needed, but MOST people don't need to. I highly recommend NOT holding your breathe for too long. That is my point. That is exactly how people pass out. You dont want to fall and bang your head against anything around.
Again, just study the top ELITE powerlifters and do what they do. Def don't take advice from kids in youtube comments who probably dont even lift.
@@resellworld Thanks for the quick answers. I will definitely follow the Elite powerlifters and do what they do.
Anyone know what gymshark t shirt Jamal is wearing?

When doing the dynamic start, is there a way to train yourself to straighten out your lower back when doing the hip shoot. Anytime I hip shoot I always end up with a super rounded lower back, the position of my back in the reps after that are fine but that's because I no longer do the hip shoot. I don't like doing a static start so a tip on this would be awesome.
lower back flatness is all in the lats, pull slack and pack ur lats and you won’t even have to think about low back rounding it’ll just be flat on its own
I struggle with this too, since it’s really hard to load the hamstrings and lower back in that position
musick backroundbro
Jamal explains it easier
bro you need an editor for real bro. I know its expensive but it will definitely boost your channel.
Just failed my first 200+kg sumo shaking like a stripper😂
Bw and age?
How is gym empty? U guys shoot at midnight?
the gym he’s in is owned by russ swole so russ probably let him in after hours
