    The program is legit! Added like 70 lbs to my dead and finally hit 500 easy. Attribute a lot of it to the double paused suggested, absolutely brutal but blew up my dead like no other.

      @@maxeffortliftz1086 I did it pause once off the ground, finish the rep and pause again same spot right off the ground just before I put it down. Reasonably long pauses and right where my sticking point is, totally changed the game for me.

    i've tried this todau and never been so hype to do a deadlift after off for full a year. What i got today was
    1. Hook grip less painfull with set the bar on lower of my thumb, as if let the bar dangling and have room inside of my fingers fold.
    2. Correct lat activation by making arms long and holding bar as if squeeze and break the bar, instead of activation lats like while doing bench 😅
    3. Slack pull smooth movement that idk how to explain and using quad to press the weight up, when is about to get the knee lock with hips forwards. By doing this and changing my stands somehow i fixed my hips pain issue, or maybe because my stands is little bit to wide back then or maybe because of wrong movement on locking on top, but for now i wish i could make a good progress and learn more in the future.
    this my 5 weeks of combeack, not much but today i pull 120kg for max 1 reps if you curious 🥲

    Definitely agree with the point regarding sumo about having your shins perpendicular to the ground, I feel it allows me to produce more force, if I had my feet too wide I’d be so off balance and wouldn’t be able to drive as much

The natty card was given in after the 7 plate mark and after a concerning diagnosis of osteoarthritis in my T6-7 vertebrae. This along with an historic blood panel from when I was 22 showing bottom of the reference range testosterone levels, made me take the leap sooner than planned. I am 28, turning 29. I was going to go enhanced after 35/having kids (whichever came first) and didn't really want to risk my HPTA till I confirmed my hpta isn't working properly and hasn't been working properly for a while. Finished running your program, gotta say it helped me a ton. Not huge gains on Bench and Squat (only about 7 pounds to each) but I hit a big 25 pound PR on Deadlift. I never felt overwhelmed during the programming and felt like it had almost a perfect amount of volume for me. About to run your hypertrophy program and then probably do a new round with the program again. 🎉

    Hi Jamal, would you say that you have shorter legs and longer torso, or a longer torso and shorter legs? I've seen it constantly stated that longer legs to torso ratio are better for sumo deadlifting, but I struggle to see why that would be the case. Looking at you it seems like you have a pretty long torso. I personally have a somewhat long torso and short legs, and I find sumo deadlift to be very natural. Obviously long arms are going to be the primary factor ahead of torso/leg ratio.
    Thoughts?

    Insane video with huge intell, but a quick question. Where and when should i exhale? As for now i am exhaling after the whole rep is done. Should i exhale uptop or at the bottom?

    • @resellworld
      @resellworld 2 роки тому +4

      Definitely UP TOP! This is how a lot of people pass out because they're holding their breath too long.....especially if they are holding the bar at the top. Reasons people hold the bar at the top is to practice for a Competition...plus it's good for grip strength.
      Although some may get away with holding their breath extra long, I just wouldn't recommend it.

    • @THECALLOF241
      @THECALLOF241 2 роки тому +3

      Personally Im gonna disagree with the guy above me a little bit and say that I think its a bad idea to completely exhale at the top of the movement. If you want to exhale a little bit to let some air out and releave any head pressure then thats fine but if you exhale completely at the top then youre going to loose all your brace. Thats not something id really recommend right before youre about to lower a few hundred pounds .

    • @resellworld
      @resellworld 2 роки тому

      @luno rox. ^ Definitely don't listen to people who don't deadlift....best thing to do, go and look at the TOP Powerlifters. You'll see exactly how they do it....which proves my point.
      Plus, lifting and LOWERING weight is two totally different things. I guarantee you could lower hundreds more pounds than you can lift up. Doesn't require much to do.
      And nobody said you have to completely lose your "brace" when you lower weight lol. You could easily re-brace if needed, but MOST people don't need to. I highly recommend NOT holding your breathe for too long. That is my point. That is exactly how people pass out. You dont want to fall and bang your head against anything around.
      Again, just study the top ELITE powerlifters and do what they do. Def don't take advice from kids in youtube comments who probably dont even lift.

    When doing the dynamic start, is there a way to train yourself to straighten out your lower back when doing the hip shoot. Anytime I hip shoot I always end up with a super rounded lower back, the position of my back in the reps after that are fine but that's because I no longer do the hip shoot. I don't like doing a static start so a tip on this would be awesome.
